David swapped out a complete gas central heating and hot water system with new electrical radiators and a hot water cylinder. Having dealt with multiple engineers in the past, many of whom were patronising or just wanted to undermine the previous engineer's work, David was a breath of fresh air. He listened to the brief, explained all of the options (not just the one he preferred) and provided practical solutions. Everything was done on time and to budget, and he showed great flexibility. Highly knowledgeable and professional, I would strongly recommend him.

Dave is clearly a very knowledgeable and competent engineer. He alerted me to potentially dangerous work done by a previous engineer. He replaced a faulty part (installed previously ) and ensured that my boiler was working well. He communicated extremely well advising me what he had done and what needed to be done. He also sorted out my underfloor heating which was not working properly. I am confident that his impressive technical capabilities will enable him to tackle the most complex future plumbing/heating challenges . Highly recommended.

Frozen leaky boiler problem

Just before Christmas, during a freezing period, Dave sorted out a big problem with a leaky boiler, at my property, thus preventing, (to my great relief !) a possibly dire situation. With good cheer and friendly manner, prompt attention, and reasonable cost, he saved the day and put my mind at rest. David removed our old gas boiler and installed a complete electric boiler system in our Flat for central heating and hot water, with new radiators and controls. The job was done exactly to schedule and at the quoted price. David is very knowledgeable and skilled and designed a bespoke system for us. We had high confidence in him from the initial enquiries through the quotation stage and the installation & commissioning and handover. He was very a very tidy and respectful contractor and must rank as one of the best contractors we have ever had in our home. We have only positive comments and would recommend him without hesitation.

Very pleased with my new electric boiler. After numerous breakdowns with my gas boiler I decided electric was the way forward. David was recommended by EHC and was able to give a fair quote quickly. David was patient when I needed to delay the start date due to other work that needed to be done beforehand. The job was completed within the given time frame, all areas were left clean and tidy at the end of each day and I was very pleased with Davids professional and helpful attitude.

Dave responded to our inquiry through EHC. Quote was given to replace existing gas/combi boiler with electric boiler and new cylinder. Showed flexibility with dates and did the work as per timescales and price agreed. Professional, polite, clean and prompt. We had no issues with Dave. His work was completed as per expectations, and we have not had any issues since.

When we found out our boiler had failed when we were overseas, David was the first to respond to our requests for help and to come look at the job to provide a quote. He was able to explain what was involved, and the aspects of the replacement that drive the cost. He also provided the best value quote we found. The replacement was quite involved and the removal of the old unit took longer than anticipated, but there was no change in price and it was completed in the timeframe originally estimated. Would recommend!

David Paine carried out a complete update to our heating/water system and replaced our outdated consumer board to one of today’s regulation standards. Last year my wife and I decided we were going full electric, fed up with gas boiler breakdowns and repair/call out charges (two new boilers in twenty-seven years. After much research we decided to go for a full installation, ie. electric boiler, new cylinder, pressurised system, remove tanks in the loft from system, and to give us total control of system an app for our mobile phones. We have also had David return to update our toilet systems, fitted remote control towel rail valves to en-suite & bathroom (magic). As a seasoned engineer myself I found David faultless, he always answered my questions immediately, he is very experienced and knowledgeable, BUT, above all he is a reliable and genuine person to have in your home, that means a lot to my wife and I.
