I have been employing Wired and Wonderful for several years on a range of projects including internal domestic wiring, garden lighting, power supply to the aviary in a public park and stage lighting in a church hall. The firm is very competently managed by Rob McKinlay manages his team of knowledgeable and competent electricians very well. They turn up on time, do the job in accordance with the ever-changing regulations and tidy upon completion. Rob doesn’t over-promise or overcharge. I have no hesitation in recommending Wired and Wonderful and am happy to give written and verbal references.

The Wired and Wonderful team have been absolutely excellent throughout our work. When we were gathering quotes for our solar panel installation, Rob came to discuss our requirements - he was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to explain everything to us in a very understandable way. We had found that was definitely not the case with other providers. Rob produced a detailed and comprehensive report which allowed us to make a clear assessment of whether to go ahead with the work. Once we had agreed the work, the Wired and Wonderful team quickly took care of all the applications and filings needed. They really made it as straightforward and easy for us as customers. The installation was brilliantly coordinated and the team were so polite and tidy throughout. They worked extremely hard to get the installation done quickly and efficiently and Rob sent us pictures and videos throughout so we could see what was happening on the roof. On our installation, there was a slight issue with the battery system - the installation had all been completed correctly but the battery system needed some software updates. Rob and Liam worked so so diligently to get the system up and running and didn't stop until everything was sorted correctly. I was greatly reassured by the team and all their hard work. I would cannot recommend Wired and Wonderful enough - their work has been brilliant and I am so glad we asked them to do the installation. The work was all done on time and on budget.

I have recently had a 10-panel, 10KW battery PV system installed by Wired and Wonderful (UK) Limited - a company very ably led by Robert. Although I had done a fair amount of research on the subject, I found that there were many gaps in my knowledge. Robert was so patient in explaining various options and didn’t hesitate to steer me away from making wrong decisions about system choices. From then on to the stage of supplying drawings for planning permission, clear quotes and later on an offer of precise timetable for installation was very professionally managed by Robert. Before the day of installation, a team of very polite scaffolders arrived and installed the necessary scaffolding in a matter of hours. They were very helpful and indeed acceded to requests for gutter cleaning etc. I can see that Robert has taken care to select his sub-contractors who are not only professionally competent but also polite and helpful. On the day of installation, Robert and his team arrived at 07:30 and got straight to work. Two days later I had a fully functioning system. Not only that but within a few hours all of the regulatory paperwork was cleared and I was able to register with the energy supplier to come off their standard variable tariff to that suitable for Solar Panels. I did not realise how much regulatory stuff that Robert has to deal with and the many agencies involved in the process. All that was done with no failures and with the requisite precision.

Wired and Wonderful have installed solar panels on my roof and battery storage for the system. They also installed a converter from the battery to my hot water system and set up the necessary app in order to review the efficiency of the system. I am delighted with the work done by Wired and Wonderful - they are incredibility knowledgeable about solar systems and I felt they knew what they were doing. The installation was done in three days and they were very efficient in getting the job done with little disruption to our household. The cabling on the side of the house has been neatly finished in tubing and also laid under paving stones where necessary. The team are friendly and very professional. The system is now up and running for 10 days and I am delighted with the power generation even February when I was not expecting much.

Wired and Wonderful were very good from the start through to the end. Rob and Liam visited us at home to discuss our options for having Solar Panels fitted. They were informative and helpful with the information. We were then supplied with quotes. Any further questions we had were answered. the schedule was as planned and the price/budget was as agreed. The tidiness and neatness of the installers was incredibly good. The wiring was very neat. The explanations of the system were good and the aftercare was helpful.

We found this company very friendly and approachable. Offering good advice and explaining clearly what they were going to do, how long it would take and what we would needed to provide. They designed a scheme suitable for our usage at a reasonable cost. They came on the day arranged and completed the work very neatly and efficiently in the allotted time. They were all pleasant and polite people throughout. Post installation they have continued giving us guidance on any queries that have arisen in a quick and helpful manner.

Wired & wonderful installed 7 solar panels and battery storage in March 2023. They worked out the best configuration across 2 aspects on the roof. The workmanship was of a high standard, they were very neat and tidy. Now I'm enjoying really low electricity bills (the battery makes a difference) and even get credits from Octopus for excess electricity we export to them. Would definitley recommend them. We have recently had Wired & Wonderful install solar panels with invertor, multiple batteries and very complex wiring in two separate locations - one in London and one in the West Country. The London job was particularly challenging as they had to hoist the panels and batteries up from ground floor 3 stories and run the wiring across the flat roof and down the back of the house, then through our kitchen and office ceilings to our consumer box. They (Rob, Liam and Jack) did the work extremely well and competently, were very tidy, efficient and polite and informative and everything was clearly labelled on all panels, with full safety instructions left for any future visiting electricians. They installed the App on my phone and showed me how to manage the charging and usage of batteries and monitor our solar generation. They also follow up by monitoring the App and our power usage from their own phones and give us useful advice. In our second location, we had to have extra external Wifi installed and a builder unplugged it and the software all had to be re-programmed - Liam travelled down from his home (2 hour journey) on a Saturday at short notice to fix it as it was a complex IT job in our second location with poor Wifi. We cannot recommend this company and these guys highly enough! Engaging guys and excellent customer service both pre/during and post installation! The works were all done exactly to schedule, in spite of the technical software suppliers delaying sorting faults

Wired & Wonderful installed an EV charger for us, overcoming several practical challenges with typical professionalism and dedication to quality. I wouldn’t use another firm for electrical work - they are first class.

Rob quoted me to replace all the halogen lights with LED lights in my Victorian property. Manu attended to undertake the work, and did so very quickly and cleanly - there was a problem locating the transformer box in the kitchen ceiling and the kitchen lights being of 2 different types. Manu came up with a creative solution to 'hiding' the hole he had to cut in the ceiling which also means there is easy access in the future in case of any issues. Great liaison from Rob and Manu on this unexpected issue and a good creative solution. Thank you very much - will continue to call on Wired and Wonderful first with any future electrical needs

We used this company to install a new cable for garden room power and lighting. They did an excellent job and came in at less than their original quotation.

Excellent service from Rob and the team. They spent a lot of time researching appropriate floor lights to replace a fault set that had been damaged. The job was complex with non standard size lights needed, underground water accumulation, no real access to the cabling and short cables to work with. There were 5 external floor lights, drivers and heat sealing of connections to be undertaken. All the up front research was done before I committed to the job and showed a real passion for doing a job well. I've used them before and would use them again. I've met 3 of the team and they all explain the work really well, are courteous and complete on time. They gave me various price options too.

Went for W&W after seeing the good reviews they had and was not disappointed. They did good work, delivered on time and budget, and always turned up when they said they would, and cleared up after themselves etc. Helpful service and clarifications of what we wanted before the job and then checked that we were satisfied afterwards. Will be using them again for other projects and would happily recommend them as a reliable, local family firm.

Excellent service from start to finish. Everyone was very friendly, efficient and helpful. Initial exchange of emails and photos worked really well to assess the work required and outline cost. They have fitted new deeper back boxes for our light switches (so we can replace with new switches). A messy job particularly as we have old lath and plaster walls and we were advised that we would need the resultant areas replastered/decorated. In the circumstances, they did as tidy a job as I could expect and cleaned up well afterwards. They also replaced a couple of ceiling lights so all in all, it was an excellent day's work. Once our decorating is complete I will certainly come back and arrange for them to install new switches.

I struggled to choose a reliable company. In the end a neighbourhood group recommended wired and wonderful. They were great and even carefully swept the floors before leaving. Now we have light in our house again! Many thanks to Liam for such a great job.

Rob at W&W put together a team for a complete occupied rewire for us on a large Victorian house bodged for years. Brilliant communication before we started. Everything clear and very fair on price - there were changes but they were explained and fair. And then the work. Team led by Jamie were quick and efficient but also worked round problems always did things properly and did everything to minimise inevitable mess. Helped me out moving furniture and few other bits too. A brilliant team I was happy to have in house. A team so good their snagging deals with everything before you need to point anything out. Wired & Wonderful were exceptional from start to finish. I registered an enquiry by email and I received prompt communication in reply, together with advice, and valuable hints & tips on selecting the appropriate light fittings for my home. In terms of sorting out the installation of the lights themselves, Jack (electrician) arrived promptly and quickly set about replacing the light fittings with care - 5 installations in total. He was pleasant, efficient, and tidy. I'm really pleased with the new lights (as are my family) and the cost for the work was in line with my expectations, and reasonable based on my research for the area.

We are so pleased with the garden lighting installation the team at Wired & Wonderful have installed for us. Not only were they super friendly and made the whole process incredibly straight forward for us (including being very flexible when our heater did not arrive on time!), but their knowledge and workmanship are really obvious to see as the final results look incredibly slick and works like a dream. They even flagged some potential internal electrical issues we may have inside our property (which is not something they were contracted to look after) and even helped to guide us who to contact and what to say... and if they take too long to help that they would come back to help sort. Overall brilliant team and would whole heartedly recommend for anyone to use their services.

We were introduced to Wired and Wonderful by the contractor who redid our front garden in preparation parking and charging for an electric car. From the start, W & W were impressive. The work required redesign of lighting and movement sensors as well as an investigation into electricity supply for a car charging unit. Staff have been trained in the newest technology which saved us a fortune. Instead of having to use UK Power Networks, our electricity supplier and contractor to increase our household electricity supply, W & W found a perfect solution - an intelligent charging unit. They showed up early and on time, kept us informed at each stage and solved any issues that cropped up. We highly recommend their services.

We used Wired and Wonderful to rewire a cooker. They were prompt, professional and very good value. Patrick was the electrician and we can highly recommend him. He was polite, hard working and very good at his job. He explained all the options very clearly.

We had Pat come to install new light fittings for us throughout our flat, as well as adapt our current wiring, and he did a fantastic job! The work was completely on schedule, he communicated with us throughout and overall we are really pleased with the professionalism and end result.

I had a few small jobs around my flat, and Liam spent the day here sorting them out. He was great – polite, friendly, really helpful and clear in his advice, careful about COVID rules, and completely neat and tidy. Apart from the new fittings, you wouldn't know he'd been. Also Rob and the team were really helpful and quick sorting out the appointment over email. I will definitely use W&W again, and 100% recommend them.
