Over charging and wasting time on the job

I saw the company online because I needed a plumber urgently and felt that they were reputable. However, my experience has been poor. The plumber that came just wasted time changing the waste hole and they ended up charging us for an hour and a half. The annoying thing is that the second job that was suppose to have been done was left undone. As a disabled person, I felt that they were taking advantage of my vulnerability and the fact that I couldn't stay with the plumber during the whole time. I just trusted that they will do the right thing. I am totally disappointed and I even called the office to explain and the lady that I spoke to had no empathy at all and said the plumber is right. I will not recommend them to any person.

Boiler check, filter clean & radiators checked

I had a combo boiler service done on my Glo worm boiler. I also agreed to have the filter cleaned if it needed it and to check my radiators were working properly. When I booked I hadn’t realised that checking the radiators would cost me £39.50 with VAT. It is when I got the Invoice that it was listed separately to the bill. It was £32.92 then VAT had to go on top at £39.50. The plumber that checked the boiler went around the bungalow very quickly to check the radiators certainly NOT worth the amount I have paid. I also told the plumber some confidential information which has now appeared in black & white on the bill for all to see. I rang up the company on getting the bill to be faced with an aggressive mannered man. I was not happy with the bill but I have paid it in FULL. So be clear before you book how much you are going to be charged for their service. I feel I have overpaid for this service and will not be using them again.

Barbara booked a boiler service and asked if we could repair some faulty radiators during the same visit. We explained that a standard boiler service doesn’t cover repairing radiators, but we could extend the appointment to allow extra time to do it in the same visit. We explained that there would be an additional charge of £39.50 incl. VAT and Barbara confirmed that she was happy with this and asked us to confirm the booking. We've provided the call recording to Barbara to confirm this conversation. We also sent a booking confirmation by email which itemised the charges in writing before we attended. After servicing the boiler we repaired two faulty radiators that weren’t heating up, without needing to replace any parts, and checked over the whole system for the customer to ensure it all worked correctly. We are satisfied that we provided the service we quoted for. As a team we work very hard to provide the excellent service that has earned us such a good rating and so many five star reviews. We always welcome customer feedback so that we can continually improve our service.

Job was what I expected, although I was quoted £105 I was charged £120 both prices I found very steep. These prices also included a discount for over 65's therefore would have been even more otherwise.

YPB responded quickly to replace valve head/valve. Office person said they do a lot of those jobs. Diagnosed as probably valve head (Drayton MA1) and gave price of £259 to replace. £120 labour and £139 for part = very expensive considering retail cost of part about 50% of this. Good quick response; good quality work for (simple) task.

From the time of the first phone to when job finished was three hours, which was very good. The job was to clean one tap in bathroom and a new tap in kitchen. The price contained a reduction for OAP

The company and plumber both contacted me to confirm the appointment. The fault was thoroughly investigated. The remedial work was explained easily and comprehensively.
