Move on Removals and Storage secured the 2024 Which? Trusted Trader of the Year award, pipping to the post some strong fellow award nominees.

The Which? Awards, now in their 18th year, recognise companies that offer outstanding products, great customer service and value for money, from retailers to banks and car manufacturers.

We talked to Richard Batten and Joanne Kallevik, founders of Move on Removals and Storage Ltd, for their reflections on this fantastic achievement.

Recognising excellent customer service

The annual Which? Awards celebrate the companies that you can rely on.

Shortlisted alongside Associated Stairlifts, LCM Flat Roofing and AJT Showers, Move on Removals and Storage faced stiff competition for the Which? Trusted Trader of the Year 2024 award. The company captured the win after commendations for their excellent customer support, strong values and the care they take of employees.

Co-founder, Joanne Kallevik, said: ‘Our values, our team live them day in, day out. On every move, all sorts of things can go wrong, but we 100% trust in our team to do the right thing… and that’s just amazing.’

Thoughts from the judges

The judging panel was impressed by Move on Removals and Storage and the level of customer care displayed.

‘Move on Removals and Storage have a Mission Statement and strong values for their company, something that we, as a consumer-focused endorsement scheme, were very impressed with.

‘They have an overwhelming number of detailed customer reviews that show how Move on Removals and Storage takes the stress out of moving, the team are professional yet lovely, and that they have gone above and beyond,’ the judge added. ‘There is a real human element to how the business carries out its services, to how they treat their employees.’

The business shared how their Trusted Trader endorsement swiftly improved sales: ‘The week after we received our endorsement we started getting leads through from customers who had seen us on the Which? website. We are one of only two removal companies in Bristol that are Which? Trusted Traders, and the customers we were getting were completely in alignment with our values and looking for a high-quality service - not just the cheapest price they could find.
