I had problems with my conservatory doors and other doors in the house. 101 Locksmiths took the time to decide the best way forward and fix the problems in a timely manner. They were keen to ensure that they offered the best value for money solutions.

Professional, friendly service. Paul managed to sort out both my broken locks in one evening. He was equipped with all the tools and parts needed for the jobs which was great. Temporary lock fitted as repair not immediately possible. The door needed a new 3-point locking mechanism but the existing type of mechanism was obsolete. Modifications were made to the door to suit a new mechanism.

I locked myself out of my front door. I called as an emergency and he was prompt and extremely helpful.

At the end of a long day, I took my 98 year old mother back to her assisted living apartment. I put the key in the lock and it got stuck - I couldn't open the door. I had had work done by 101 Locksmiths before and found him very professional. I called at about 8pm on Boxing Day and he said I'll be there in about 30 mins. I was delighted. He arrived promptly and was very thorough in his approach. He used all the techniques he could to try to release the lock and explained what he was doing at each step of the process. He managed to sort out the problem in less then an hour and charged me a very reasonable rate given that it was late at night on Boxing Day. Our kitchen door would not close. It had been stiff for a few months. We could not get in touch with our usual locksmith. So we tried a few others. I wasn't too happy with their response, so I decided to make one more phone call, and spoke to 101 locksmiths. Their response was rather more re-assuring. He said his call-out rate was £80 an hour plus we would have to pay for any materials. Paul turned up on time and got straight to work. He was not quite what I expected, his history and work experience I found very interesting. I was not expecting a fitter with a background in avionic design. He saved our door by fitting a new gear into it, and did his best to repair the fitting. I asked him back to fit 3 sets of window handles and keys. He also fitted a brand new handle to the kitchen door. He is a very pleasant and interesting man and his work was of very high quality. I was very pleased that I made that extra phone call. Highly recommended.
