They asked me to call when my dad came out of hospital the very next day they fitted the stairlift as it was essential for his well being. I would definitely recommend this company.

We needed a chair lift at fairly short notice. 1st Choice stairlifts did what they could to speed things up - even managing to bring forward our installation date - it was just 9 days from our first telephone call to them, to installation and training! All of our contacts were professional and friendly, easy to talk to from start to finish, which made it a very easy process

We had a stair lift fitted yesterday for us in our old cottage with a complex, really narrow and curved stair case. Although it had taken 6 months for Bill to feel ready to have the stair lift fitted after the initial quote 1st choice stuck by the original price. During the installation the engineers Jamie and Pete discovered that we had a rotten floor joist just where they needed to fix the rail on the landing. Rather than give in they fixed it on the day and even nailed some other loose floor boards down for us too. They were incredibly inventive utilising some wooden fence posts we had to fix the floor joists. They just got on with the job and we’re very cheerful and professional. No additional cost for the extra hours the work took. The stair lift is wonderful and already Bill has started to feel much better with not having the daily nightmare/ trauma of getting up and down the stairs. We have a elderly mother who had a unfortunate accident,it was decided that for us to give her her independence back that we needed a stairlift,after some research we found 1st choice,we wanted a local company that would help if any problems later and we are so pleased to say1st choice have gone way above our expectations,it was a very complex stairlift but not a problem for them,they were on the ball,from start to finish they have been very helpful,and now our minds are at ease,many thanks to all the staff,very highly recommended regards Andy,Louise and of course mother.

From my first contact ( recommended by Occupational Therapist ) to installation, the whole team has been courteous, friendly, respectful & professional. I organised everything for my mum. Living in London I had to time everything to work around my visits. From initial meet with Colin at mums home, right through to Adam fitting was only 4 weeks. Colin & Adam were pleasant to meet. Installation was slick, & everything was left spotless with a thorough coaching with mum on using the chair.

Having just read through 1st Choice's 20th Anniversary magazine, I just felt that I had to do a quick review. Since our first visit to the showroom in 2017 and meeting Lindsey we have been very impressed with such a professional company. A through the floor Wessex Lift was installed in January 2018 and we have been looked after throughout the years with services and any issues arising. Last Monday we had a power cut and my husband was stuck in the lift and very distressed. I could not remember how to bring the lift down! I called the office and within less than 5 minutes, Pete called me and talked me through what to do. It was so simple, just pressing one button but I was in a panic at the time! First class and an amazing company, who always go above and beyond. We definitely made the right decision to go with 1st Choice.

1st Choice Stairlifts installed a stairlift to climb some very awkward stairs just over a week ago. They were very quick and proficient in carrying out the installation and explained the system thoroughly so that when they left I was pretty certain how to use it. The installers could not have been more helpful and considerate and were more than happy to explain what they were doing. They were very quick in the installation. There is only one problem I have with the stairlift. After use it needs to be sent back to its park for the battery to charge, and that is done by using a remote control. The button needs to be continuously depressed for 2 minutes to move the staircase and my hands, like my legs (same problem 'osteo-arthritis'), are not as capable as was once the case. Keeping a button depressed is very painful. It would be so much better if the button could be depressed for, say, 3 seconds, and then remain depressed unless pressed again or otherwise interrupted. With that one small niggle the staircase and its installation was brilliant. Thank you Harry Marsh and all at 1st Choice Stairlifts. Satisfied User.
