Historically, the months between October and March have been the worst weather in the UK, but thanks to the effects of climate change, we now face an uncertain future.
Therefore, it would surely be wise to pursue any measures possible to mitigate the effects of climate change, to help ensure a more stable climate for future generations.
One proven measure to reduce emissions, is to have your appliance swept regularly and ideally, twice a year, regardless of whether it has been used only once in a year or every day.
This not only reduces emissions but improves the efficiency of your appliance, therefore making it more economical as well as reducing the risks of carbon monoxide poisoning and the build up of soot and creosote in your flue.
Your insurance may be invalidated without proof of a sweep should the unthinkable happen, even if due to an electrical fault.

Many thanks for your review. Punctuality is a priority due to our customers having busy lives. However, on occasion, an appointment may be attended earlier or later than arranged. Our policy is to attend within half an hour of the appointed time, beyond this, we always try to contact the customer to let them know our current situation.

Thank you for your 'glowing' review. We always try to leave a customers property in a state we would expect of a tradesman in our own home. Advice is free and we always encourage customers to ask questions regarding their appliance. This not only tests our knowledge but helps the customer understand why they may be experiencing issues with their appliance and how best to resolve or mitigate those issues.

Repeat custom is the greatest compliment and part of the reason the majority of our customers do return, is our pricing structure, particularly our Area Day discount. Every customer we serve is gracious, accommodating and welcoming, often offering a cuppa in the winter season, or a cold drink when it is warmer. As much as we understand our customers have busy lives, at the height of the season (between August and December), trying to accommodate appointments around accepted appointments takes high priority. Our aim is to perform the work and leave the customers property as clean as we find it on arrival. Thank you again for such a glowing review, your sentiments touch our humility.

I'm an established customer of Fraser's now. He contacted me to propose a time to carry out the annual sweep, but was flexible. He did a good job as always. He also pays attention to the safety of your chimney/ wood burner/ stove set up and can provide advice. He will sing Chim Chim Cheree from the Mary Poppins film on request.

Customer safety and wellbeing is paramount, so advising customers on best practice and the benefits of a regular sweep take precedence. Our customers are very accommodating when an appointment is offered, understanding that we try our best to offer Area Days so that our Area Day discounted rate can be applied. When offering appointments, we feel it important to offer a specific time (as opposed to a timed window, e.g. 1 to 5pm) so customers can better plan their day around their appointment, as well as offering structure to our working day.

Found the whole booking process smooth with a quick response. Fraser came on time and completed the work quickly, and was very careful to keep the whole area clean. Fraser then kindly took the time to explain some ways to improve chimney health and also didn’t try to upsell me for an additional sweep unnecessarily. Will happily book again and looking forward to the reminder text in a year’s time which is a very helpful service.

Many thanks for leaving such a GLOWing review. Thank you also for highlighting the need for regular sweeps. Indeed, the industry recommendation is to have your appliance swept at least twice a year, with insurance companies requesting at least an annual sweep. We are currently promoting a sweep twice a year, particularly for log burners, mainly because their liner is that much narrower than the flue of an open fire. Our first priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customers and to that end, having an annual sweep has always been our minimum recommendation. We look forward to being of service to you again.
