A J Marsden has completed two jobs for us during 2025, and both have been completed by Sam to a high standard. Andy and Dean are great to deal with, and scheduling the work was straightforward. An excellent small business that I would use again.

Just moved house and the central heating system/boiler was inefficient and required diagnostic and servicing procedures. A J Marsden was recommended to me and they undertook the necessary remedial work. Their engineer. Sam, worked non stop for five hours and identified numerous problems with the system. He rectified all the problems in a professional and efficient manner, explaining the problems at every stage. I now have a highly efficient heating system. I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone who requires a cost effective, professional service.

2nd year dealing with AJ Marsden, it was only to service my boiler, but very pleased with the work, Dean last year and Sam this year, both very pleasant, and I was happy with the work that they did.

Dean from AJ Marsden has been excellent, he replaced our 25 year old boiler and immersion heater system with a combi boiler, relocated it in the kitchen, removed the old system, got us up and running in no time at all, and left the house with little to no mess. Me and my wife are very impressed with the service delivered and quality of work. We love the new combi boiler and it's a life changer. I would highly recommend these guys. Thank you once again.

Sam came to do our annual boiler service. As always, he carried out the work very professionally. We really trust him to carry out any job, and he is always happy to answer any questions. AJ Marsden Ltd did us a new bathroom and WC room. It was pretty much done to the agreed schedule, only going over two days but it was perfectly acceptable and done to the agreed budget. What makes AJ Marsden Ltd stand out is the quality of their work and they care about doing a great job and that the customer is completely satisfied. First impressions were that Andy was helpful, patient, knowledgeable, skilled and wanted to use the wealth of his experience to help us to create a bathroom and WC room of our dreams, which was useful, purposeful and beautiful. Ongoing communication was constant, in the months before, designing, deciding and agreeing; and during the works to ensure all was going as planned. Aftercare we have not had to utilise so far but Andy has assured us if there are any problems or concerns not to hesitate to get in touch, which is very reassuring. We are extremely happy with their customer service, the quality of their work and the value for money we got with the budget we had. We would absolutely recommend this trader and in actual fact have already done so. We wish to thank Andy, Dean, Sam and Matt for all their hard work in making our dream a reality. Fabulous team!

I would highly recommend A J Marsden. We have used them for several years now for boiler servicing, replacement taps and the repair of a faulty immersion heater. They are very professional, provide a great service and are always punctual. Their engineers are very personable and very polite. They are always competitive on price. Invoices and certificates of work are received promptly after completion of works. I also use them to service my boiler at home and always receive the same great service.

Andy and his team were absolutely spot on from start to finish. Every e-mail enquiry I made was answered promptly and all queries dealt with. I had every confidence in Andy as he was straight forward and honest and was clear that they used only quality goods which suited me perfectly. When work started the men worked diligently and with respect to my property. All the work during our total renovation was carried out to a high standard. Delighted on every level. Customer service was excellent from this company. Andrew was so very helpful with the design of our bathroom and helped us stay within budget. He answered our many questions promptly. Andrew even gave us a lift to the tile warehouse in Oldham. The team of fitters were polite and friendly and kept us regularly updated with the progress of the work and went out of their way to help such as putting down extra floor covering at our request. Our only minor issue was the amount of dust left behind at the end of the day during the first week of the job. Overall, we are really impressed by the high quality of the workmanship which has created our lovely new bathroom. We would recommend this company to anyone seeking a new bathroom.

A very professional service from AJ Marsden who were recommended to me by a friend. They installed the Worcester Greenstar 4000 boiler and 4 new radiators in just over a day and were very tidy. Polite and friendly, they arranged to bring my job forward as my old boiler had completely broken in the intervening period from the initial consultation. Thank you.

I was looking for a competent and trustworthy bathroom fitter who would just come and design and fit my en-suite bathroom and wouldn't leave me with endless issues. I subscribe to Which so found this company via their site. Andy contacted me back promptly, after I left a message. He came round to look at the job and was clear up front around the minimum costs for this type of space and the wait time, given his currently committed jobs. I worked over the next few weeks with him in terms of a design. He supplied visuals which were incredibly helpful. Once designed, he priced the job, and of course it came in more than we really wanted, but he worked with us to look at ways to make it affordable. We agreed a price and Andy explained the next steps and payments. However, because of an unforeseen issue, we had to delay the work until a few months later. When the works did commence, Andy's team of contractors, led by Dean, undertook the work. They protected the house, were tidy and worked like a well oiled machine with no wasted time between each element. Even though there was a issue with the fall of the shower pipes and the route to make right, they worked with us and sorted it out and still managed to complete the job on time. There was a couple of small snags which were quickly resolved. We wanted an honest and trustworthy contractor and that's what we got. Great contractor and will use again.

After the previous service engineer that I had used for 20yrs retired I found A J Marsden on the Worcester Bosch approved service engineers website. Dean came to service my 20yr old combi boiler and I found him very knowledgeable re my boiler with a recommendation for next year’s service to extend the life of the boiler. I would use AJ Marsden again going off the good vibes I got when Dean visited.

Used this firm on Which guidance. Absolutely first class!! Had to wait a few months for them, but worth the wait.Andy came to home twice to discuss work. Excellent advice and quality of work done was exceptional.Careful, thorough,and all done to specs, and time.Would use them again, without hesitation.

Very happy! We recently had our central heating repiped and some radiators replaced. The service was outstanding from start to finish—professional, timely, and they left the house tidy. The quality of the work was high, and the team was both knowledgeable and courteous. Highly recommended!

I have used A J Marsden Ltd for a number of years, not only did they fit my combi boiler but service it and my gas fire annually. They are always on time, never cancel your appointment and are happy to do additional work when requested. They are clean, tidy and reasonably priced. I can highly recommend this company.

After using Andrew and his team for some central heating work last year we contacted Andrew for a small job to fix noisy pipes. He called out very quickly to assess and Dean completed the job the next week and it has made a big difference. Very impressed

Dean and Sam carried out the radiator replacement work today and we could not have been happier with their professional and conscientious attitude, whilst carrying out the installation work. Nothing was too much trouble and they did a very good job of tidying up after they carried out their work. I would definitely recommend them for carrying out any central heating work, boiler servicing, and general plumbing/bathroom installations.

My boiler was leaking and A J Marsden were able to send someone out early the next day. The likely work required and quote were completed over the phone with Andy who was fantastic, and the invoice I received reflected the quote exactly. The engineer who came out was excellent, efficient, and very polite and considerate. 6/5 would heartlily reccommend.

I sent for my service engineer to repair my Central Heating Boiler. He said that he had to replace the boiler because it was unsafe. He then went on to say that it would be 8 days before they could look at options, for the way forward. I decided to look at other options and checked Trust a Traders in the area. Andrew Marsden came up as one of the options. I contacted him and arranged for him to visit, on the 3rd of January. He came was very polite and respectful. He examined the system, recognised the extent of the work that needed doing, and explained in detail what he recommended was the way forward. We then had the opportunity to discuss with him our thoughts and agreed that he would go away and provide us with a quote and the timescale for the work to be carried out. He sent his recommendation for the make of the Boiler, and the layout of the pipework etc. Also the price and date for installation. Andrew's presentation gave us confidence to trust him, and so we agreed the deal. Dean his son carried out the installation on the 9th of January and completed the work on the 10th. So from being let down by our own service engineer, (baring in mind that we are in the middle of winter), the work was carried out by Andrew, in quick time, at a fair price and efficiently installed. I have every confidence in the man. Also full marks to Trust a Trader.
