A R Plumbing and Heating

Andrew and Matt did a great job replacing a cold water combination valve on our pressurized cylinder. I originally contacted Andrew because we were suffering very poor water flow and pressure throughout the house, which I believed was something to do with the cold water combination valve. Andrew came round to the house, took a few measurements and very quickly responded with a quote to replace the valve. We scheduled a date for him to come and do the work, but like most things in life right now, COVID had another plan, but Andrew communicated the reason he wouldn't be able to attend and we re-scheduled. Andrew and Matt then reliably showed up for the rescheduled visit and worked very hard to get the job done and our water back on quickly. The original plumbers had installed the valve in a very inaccessible and awkward location, which made the job much more difficult, but he was able to complete it nonetheless. The only slight negative feedback would be that I should have requested dust sheets were placed in the hallway, as with the two of them going back and forth to their van all day, the hallway was absolutely filthy by the time they had finished, however we do have a fully tiled hallway so it was no great shakes to mop up afterwards. For the actual plumbing work itself, which is of course much more important, I would say that Andrew's work is very good - nice plumb, level pipe runs and of course no leaks, and I'm very happy with the installation. Great work.

Boiler tripping out system. Called and he came soon as available. The diagnosed pump had gone quickly and got the system back online, returned with new pump hour later, fit and all back working same morning. Clear on what cost would be. Couldn’t have asked for more, will use again

Andrew Richardson and his team did a good job refitting our shower room. Andrew and his team were reliable, arriving on time as previously arranged. Work was done tidily with attention to detail. The work was done to a high standard, to budget, at a reasonable cost.

I needed 3 taps replacing in our shop and Andrew was really quick getting back to me with a very good price. He came to do the job for me and one of the taps I'd bought was the wrong size so Andrew got me another one straight away and fitted it. Andrew was my second attempt to get my boiler repaired. He took the time to establish what the issue was instead of just trying to get me to buy new which I really appreciated. He kept me informed throughout giving me realist time frames. He also took the time to explain what we needed to do and why. Andrew was very polite in all my interactions with him and the quality of his work is extremely high. I highly recommend Andrew, he is not only skilled but also a decent man and someone you can trust to look after your plumbing and boiler issues.

Andrew responded quickly to my initial request and arrived promptly to assess the job. I was expecting him to arrange another date to complete the work but he was able to carry out the work there and then replacing both the bathroom basin taps and the toilet flush mechanism. We are very happy with Andrew’s work and he left the bathroom clean and tidy.

A small job but necessary to avoid a bigger one. Very quickly and efficiently dealt with a missing waste pipe on our unvented boiler.

A shut off tap was no longer working properly and additionally had a leak at its compression joint. It was situated within a cupboard that provided difficult access. Andrew replaced the shut off tap but it later developed another leak at the compression joint. The old pipework was in poor condition and Andrew returned to replace some of that. I now have a working, leak free shut off tap.

Andrew is a very good plumber and has always been very punctual and reasonable. No complaints here and will definitely be using him again!!

Andrew and his team did our new bathroom and changed all the radiators in the house we are having refurbished. They were all very skilled and easy to deal with. They cleaned up and left the place tidied. We are very pleased with our new bathroom and radiators. They also did the plumbing work involved in our new kitchen. They came whenever it was time for them to do their share of the work in the new kitchen. What I liked best in Andrew was that he was very helpful and accommodating. As the refurb progressed, some problems in the house were discovered and Andrew was quick to say yes whenever I asked him to do extra job or fix something that was within his expertise. Of course, we need to pay more than the quote because of the additional work we asked him but the final price was reasonable. Snags that were unavoidable were quickly sorted out. I highly recommend.

Andrew is a punctual and good quality tradesmen and this is a rare thing to find these days. He has done a number of jobs for us from replacing a whole boiler to other more minor plumbing jobs and and every time he's been here when he said he would be or communicated if there's any change. We appreciate his work very much and and would like to keep him working for us. I would thoroughly recommended to anybody else

I contacted AR as they were reasonably close to my address and the recent reviews were good. I'm happy that I did as the response I received was very efficient. Although the jobs were fairly small the service was excellent. I would definitely use AR again.

I contacted Andrew to fix a leaking kitchen tap and to also do a boiler service. He was both helpful and responsive to find the parts needed for the kitchen tap and provided the quote for the job upfront. Andrew and his team arrived on time and promptly got to work and got the kitchen tap fixed and the boiler service done, and the area was clean after the work was finished. He also invoiced the same amount as the quote provided upfront. Overall I was happy with Andrew and his team’s work and would recommend them.

Andrew fitted a new shower for us. He was punctual, did a good job and kept to his estimate. He's done a number of jobs for us now, and I would recommend him.

This is the second time we have used Andrew. Andrew researched electric boilers for us, which helped us decide to connect to the gas network. Andrew then installed everything after the meter had been fitted. Andrew and his colleagues ran the gas pipes through our home, fitted a gas boiler and all the waste pipes needed and connected our central heating. He gave us a clear quote before work started. During the work we added a couple of things so it was slightly more than the original quote but all of the costs were itemised and agreed. The work took slightly longer than Andrew originally anticipated but this did not add to the cost and we were warm in time for Christmas. We like the care that Andrew takes in his work and the way that he respects that he’s working in someone’s home. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Andrew to family or friends.

What was a seemingly simple job turned into more of a challenge than expected. Handled with diligence and care, issues explained and appropriate action is taken. Kept us informed. A reliable tradesman would use again without hesitation.

We had a few problems with our water pressure that needed a thorough investigation. This was done with meticulous attention to detail until the problem was resolved to our satisfaction. All in all, they were friendly and always arrived at the agreed time, willing to give advice, helpful and professional and followed up after the work was done. We were suffering from low pressure in the hot water and part of the cold water systems. With Andrew's expertise and detective work we managed to solve the problem. Now we do not need to wait 1 hour to fill the bath! An excellent job.
