The existing membrane on the flat roof of my extension was coming away from the wall, and I also had a ridge tile blown off in a storm. A1 Bespoke replaced the ridge tile immediately. I had to wait some time for the flat roof repair, but it was explained on booking that roof repairs were being delayed by the very wet weather. The edge of my flat roof was resealed with rubber. The job looks very neat. The workmen were very friendly and efficient, and explained everything I wanted to know. They cleared up very thoroughly. I would recommend this company unreservedly.

The service has been second to none. The quotation was provided on time in a clear and unambiguous way. They had to find tiles that are no longer manufactured from a reclamation yard which they managed very quickly. They even provided some extra tiles should any future broken tiles would need replacing. The work completed was excellent, the team were friendly and left the area completely free of any rubbish. Had been trying to get this work done since July 2023 but was let down by others either turning up to view the job, then being uncontactable, or not showing up as promised to view the job. Detailed quote from A1 Bespoke, all my questions answered before accepting quote. Bad weather delayed start but the company kept in touch and the work was soon completed when weather eased. Those who carried out the work provided information and explanations of what they had done and on any other findings, like state of television aerial attachments. Clean, tidy workmanship and good old-fashioned customer care.

Found A1 via Trusted Traders and having had trouble in even getting quotes Mike gave a very prompt and transparent estimate. Due to demand on A1's work at the time there was a bit of delay before starting but I was kept up to date on timelines. Work was undertaken very quickly and professionaly with information about the roof ridge and gutter work given during progression. The intial quote was adhered to and whilst it was only completed yesterday I am very happy with the outcomes.

Found A1 Bespoke from Which? Trusted Traders, initially to seal up an area where birds were digging out the mortar to gain entry. This was done quickly. It was apparent that all the mortar on the roof was loose and extensive scaffolding would be required. With tiles thinned through 50 years of frost damage we decided to have the complete roof retiled with modern breathable membrane. When work started and tiles were being removed it was apparent that timbers holding the facia and gutters were rotten and needed replacing. Michael Hall was there to advise what needed to be done but in no way did we feel pressurised. The work was extended to include new timbers, facias and gutters. The work done was first class and included building regs inspections by the local authority. We have had comments from neighbours how good it looks, and on our recommendation our son-in-law also had roof valley work done on their home. The materials were all high quality and the site operatives would not fit anything that was marked or chipped in any way, even though they were quite serviceable. Really impressed. On Michael's recommendation I had round deep line gutters fitted and these have been excellent in all the recent heavy rain. The oval shape seem to keep clear and channel water better than the previous square ones. The companies excellent reputation is deserved.

Had Mike re-board my loft and fit a new hatch an ladder. Mike came round to do the estimate and I immediately felt comfortable. He checked what I wanted and non of it was a problem, non of the hissing though teeth from some people. Soon as I gave the ok on the estimate was informed that as soon as there was a break in the nice weather where they couldn't do any roofing they would be round and exactly what happened. Happy to leave them with a set of keys whilst I was at work and each evening everywhere was left clean and tidy. We had an issue with one light and they have left me with a plug in one off their own back for the time being until the sparky is free

We used this company to secure loose ridge tiles and re-pointing across the whole house roof. They were prompt, worked efficiently, well mannered and dealt with any queries effectively. Their schedule and budget/quote were kept to.

We were looking for roofing company to carry out a small job and Mike responded very quickly despite being very busy. When he came out to give us a quote he also spotted another couple of issues, which could have caused problems later and added those to our quote. I had a roof vent tile that needed replacing and A1 bespoke did this before Xmas, efficiently and promptly. They are very polite and honest and efficient and easy to communicate with and I'm very happy with the work.

We've had a very positive experience on our roofing job. James and Will who did the installation were professional, polite, respectful and I can't fault their workmanship. Materials used were of a high quality and everything fitted was as requested. Communication was great, plus I was told of what was being done at every stage. I wanted to add some lighting and it was made very easy for me to get the cabling in before the insulation, membrane and tiles were fitted. The finished result was actually better than I expected it to be so we are very happy. We've already asked A1 Bespoke to do another job for us.

We had a full pitched roof replacement and also two flat dormer roofs and a bay window roof, all reroofed with EPDM rubber. One dormer was also insulated and clad. The work was all done to the agreed budget. It took slightly longer than scheduled but this was due to the weather. When Mike came to discuss the job, he was very knowledgeable, gave us the options and a very detailed quote, the materials used were of a high quality. Throughout the job, they were easy to contact if there were any queries, worked well, did an excellent job and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Any issues were quickly resolved to our satisfaction.

I cannot rate this company or the guys working there highly enough. They came when scheduled, on time every time, worked really hard, did a brilliant job and afterwards when my lovely new roof was on could not have been more helpful with a few snags. Mike is really quick to respond, your never left waiting or wondering what’s happening. The guys were all great, neat and tidy (questionable taste in music) and despite them banging around putting a new roof on (which obviously is a noisy job) you barely noticed them! I would recommend them to anyone in need of a roofing job.

We discovered a leak in the sloping roof over our garage, near a Velux window. I thought it was a fault with the window, but then saw that a slate had slipped out above it. I rang 2 roofers recommended by Which? and both promised to come and look at it. They arrived within a couple of days of the call, and gave me a date and a reasonable price to fix this simple problem. The work was done on the agreed date, and the leak stopped. I asked the man who came about the state of the felt under the slate, and he said it was fine, and that the roof was in pretty good condition, which was very helpful. I would certainly use A1 Bespoke again.

I have been wholly unsuccessful in getting a roofer to come to the house and it has been immensely frustrating and time wasting as I have chased up several who have said they would come and haven’t showed up. Mike was on recommendation from a good friend and so I thought I had nothing to lose. Wow! Actual customer service! Mike phoned me to discuss the job, came to look at it, emailed me photos and a quote, called to say when the roofers would arrive and then updated me if dates had to change. At the end of the process, I was taken around the house and shown all the jobs done. I was also advised as to future possible considerations that were not urgent right now. Mike came out to quote for the chimney stack which was letting rain in through to the loft this was repaired by another roofer previously but not to a decent standard. Mike and his team came to my property last week and 3 years ago. First job was to make the loft accessible from a box room with a proper hatch and ladder, instead of the original landing hatch, and boarded it for me. Since then I have had the chimney stack removed and this both left a hole and damaged the flooring. The team came back and repaired, replaced and secured it totally! I’ve 2 kittens so don’t want them getting trapped in the roof eaves area, so securing it was essential. All work done in a few hours, brilliant guys, with zero mess. Courteous, professional, considerate. I cannot praise them highly enough and have no qualms in recommending them!

Mike responded to my request for a quote to repair my roof which was leaking at both sides of the dormer. He assessed the problem and provided a written quote for the work. The guys who came to do the repair did an excellent job, re-clad the dormer sides and fitted high quality lead flashing to the dormer sides and chimney. They were very neat and tidy workers and always kept me informed of what they were doing.

A1 have re-roofed the top of the house, the single storey kitchen extension and the front porch. The owner, Mike, explained the options and the materials he would recommend – very slightly more than the standard but very much better quality / value – and gave a very detailed quotation for what was needed. A1 Bespoke completed a slate re-roof of a lean to kitchen extension. Mike explained very clearly what could be done to remedy the problems with the roof. The work was completed as planned and within the agreed price. The team completed the work despite seriously cold and wet weather. While trying to clear a blocked outside drain we discovered a horror story. Our cast iron downpipe, which had been hidden behind vegetation was not only blocked but split through part of the way up and in danger of falling any time. Fortunately Mike at A1Bespoke came to our rescue after three other companies were either too busy or didn't call back. After sending photos of the problem Mike called back with a very reasonable quote and confirmed that someone would be with us later the same morning. James turned up promptly as promised complete with all the required parts and kit to do the job.He worked very efficiently and was friendly and gave helpful advice about our other issues as the wall now needed repointing. The finished job was very professional and all was left clean and tidy. Would highly recommend.

Contacted Michael on the phone having researched good feedback through which traders. Michael arranged a visit the same day to asses the work required to replace a flat roof on a detached double garage. He explained the best solution would be to install a Firestone rubber roof solution, the current covering was the old felt type and the decking was chipboard which had damp patches. Michael provided a detailed quotation, explaining the works, to replace the decking, new rubber covering, new facia's and guttering. His team are hardworking honest and efficient, they kept me updated and tuned up when they said. Price was competitive, and cleaned up and provided a skip for all the roofing rubbish.

I had my flat roof on the loft extension replaced with new OBS boards and Firestone rubber (previously felt). I had a visit from Mike who sent me a quote and a few weeks later the work had been completed. The job is really good and the difference it has made to the inside noise and the outside look is excellent. The two guys that did the job were really helpful and did me a few extra favours whilst on the roof. They removed all the rubbish and left everything tidy, finished the job in the planned two days. In Summer 2017, Mike's Team cut my garage down to a shed and built a green roof on it. The green roof has been very successful. Unfortunately this summer it became evident that the exterior grade plywood used to finish the outsides was not right for the job, it was delaminating in several places. I asked Mike to help with this. He responded immediately, discussed replacement cladding materials, and sent someone to do the job the next week. The replacement was done quickly and efficiently and looks good. The original work was done well, the fault with materials was corrected immediately it was brought to Mike's attention and there was no charge. One could not ask for better service.

The porch roof had several cracked tiles and water was dripping into the interior. Mike gave me 2 quotes for the repair fully explaining the issues and describing the work needed. As the property is rented and I could not get there to see for myself, Mike sent photos of the problems to me. I was extremely happy with the price quoted for the work I opted for. Mike did the work when he said he would and, with the Christmas period, did not rush to invoice me which was nice of him. Staff courteous, cheerful and re-assuring , numbering 2-4. Work proceeded well, despite weather, the Team were efficient, skilful, adaptable, and apparently, rain-proof. And all they require is an occasional brew! The job was completed in good time, allowing for a few wet days, with the stripped roof areas efficiently protected when necessary. Cleaning up was done daily and on conclusion, by the lads. Excellent work, first class finish and within the quote (no extras as all features explained and priced at the outset).

I called him in the morning and he came the same afternoon and as it was a relatively small job completed it on the spot. Found A1 Bespoke when searching trusted traders for a suitable builder to board out my loft, install a ladder and a light. Initially I was suspicious of the number of 5 star ratings. However after speaking with Mike regarding the job, he arrived at the agreed time and date. Fully explained the proposed works and an option to relocate the loft hatch to improve access. A price indication was given and promptly followed up with an accurate written quotation. A time and date for the commencement of the work was agreed.When work commenced we were fully informed on the progress of each stage of the work. To conclude the finish and quality of the boarded out loft including the installation of a folding wooden loft ladder is superb. The five star ratings are true and well justified. I would highly recommend Mike and the guys at A1 Bespoke Ltd. You may have to wait as we are now asking Mike to advise and quote for replacing my garage and kitchen roofs.

Just needed a quick repair after high winds had dislodged the felt covering. After discussing my options, Mike re-seated, then stapled the felt back in place and sealed where necessary there & then. Suppose it's not a big job in the scheme of things, but it really helped me out especially as rain was on the way! Both Mike (and his workmate Steve) were professional, kind and courteous. I would have no hesitation about using this company again, whatever the size of job.

I had an outdoor boiler shed re-roofed and the boiler pipes boxed in. The roof was of rubber construction with upvc edges. The boxing was also made of upvc. Mike was recommended by my son. He came on time to give me a quote and told me the best way that the job could be done. The quote was very reasonable and I did not get any others. He came on the day we agreed and the whole job was carried out very professionally and to a very high standard. We asked A1 Roofing to look at re-roofing our pitched extension roof that had been leaking intermittently for a number of years. After an inspection they offered two options. Attempt to fix where they believed the leak to be or reroof the entire area that included two elbows and working around a velux. We opted for a reroof and they didn't disappoint. I emailed 3 Roofers for quotes for converting my garage into a shed with a green roof with hard standing for the car in front. A1 responded: amended the work quoted-for as I changed my ideas before work started; gave the cheaper quote; came when agreed; communicated about delay due to bad weather; did the work neatly and exactly as wanted - asking me if uncertain about any detail; cleared up completely and came back to sort out an unforeseen drainage problem. I was very happy with the new shed and hard standing. I left a review soon after the work was done but it did not go up, so I am re-doing it several months later, still very happy with the work.

Mike has done work for me previously on a troublesome valley gutter and other flashing and roof repairs. He always responds promptly and is happy to discuss options. He was my first port of call last week with another troublesome leak and got out to fix it within a few days. No doubt A1 are not the cheapest but they have been competent, accommodating, trustworthy and reliable which is very welcome.

I had Mike come down to look at my elderly Dads roof to see what could be done as the bathroom ceiling was leaking lots. He went up the ladders and took some pictures of the potential problems which he readily showed my Dad and myself. I was shocked at his honesty and as I have been in the building trade myself, I did not expect this.He patched up the problems fast and efficiently and in less than an hour, he had done his best, which cost a hefty twenty quid - yes that's right twenty quid.
