We are absolutely delighted with the results. The team was professional and friendly, they turned up on time, their workmanship could not be faulted and they cleared up the area nicely upon completion. They encountered unexpected problems removing the old post spurs, which were heavily embedded in concrete, but remained positive and didn't complain about the extra effort and time required. We would unreservedly recommend them and would use them again for future garden projects.

Chris responded very promptly to our initial enquiry and was happy to come and chat through ideas in person, he socially distanced so we felt totally safe. We agreed on a new patio and pergola under the trees at the bottom of our garden under tall conifer trees where no grass grows. This work has now been completed by Dan and his team and we are delighted with the end result. They were polite and courteous and easy to have in the garden. They were fantastic with our dog too! We would happily recommend them.

We couldn’t have been happier with the work done by Chris, Dan, Gary, Peter and Jack. This was a big project, spread over 7 months, to extend a patio, building two new retaining walls, digging out tree stumps and weeds, and paving and turfing large areas. From the start Chris offered excellent advice and took the time to make sure everything was done right, never cutting corners - for example letting the hardcore settle behind the retaining wall for six months before paving. Every member of the team was polite, tidy and friendly, and for the time the work was completed during lockdown they never entered the house (and we had a father-son team who lived together so no concerns). We made changes to the scope of the work often at late notice and Chris and the team were very accommodating, even when it was difficult to secure materials in lockdown. Overall this is a highly professional outfit and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. You might have to wait for them to be available - but that’s always a good sign.

We booked Absolute Gardens to replace a rotted, raised decking area and lay a new patio. Chris was really easy to deal with when we were planning the project and offered some excellent advice in regard to positioning of steps, lighting and materials to use. The team of Peter and Jack were extremely professional and friendly, very tidy and the level of workmanship was excellent. All the team were happy to field questions and address any changes we wanted as we went along. They also kept us informed of timescales throughout the project and finished the job exactly when they said they would. We would highly recommend Chris and his Absolute Gardens team; they work to a very high specification and standard and are really easy to deal with. We would definitely use them again.

We had our patio area at the rear replaced including a new wall, move of steps at Chris' good suggestion and new fencing at the side. The requirements changed as the old concrete was removed and Chris explained how this would be done. Peter and Jack carried out all the work in an excellent and efficient way, letting us know each day what would be done. Despite bad weather during the work they remained cheerful and carried on regardless. When it was necessary to postpone on certain days some of the work because of heavy rain they gave the reasoning and returned as soon as the rain stopped.

We met Chris in February 2019 to discuss our outline plans for our front garden. These consisted of; 1) new driveway 2) new steps and path to the front door and back gate 3) replace the collapsing wall between us and our neighbour 4) replace front wall to the front garden. Chris was very clear about what was required and made a couple of suggestions that were very helpful. He then let us have a written quote within 2 weeks and we paid a small deposit and agreed a start date in September. Chris invited us to visit some of the local sites where he has worked to see the quality of their workmanship. We didn't visit any because of the great reviews on this site and Chris had been recommended to us by another trustworthy local trader. Work started promptly in the second week of September and progressed steadily through to completion last week on 17th October, about 5 weeks. Despite the variable weather the team were on site for every day except one (which was torrential rain). Dan, Gary, Jack and Chris all worked hard every day throughout. The work was completed on time and exactly to the original quote. I would thoroughly recommend Absolute Gardens for their professionalism, craftsmanship, friendliness and ability to contribute to what we were trying to achieve. We didn't have any issues at all because it felt like a partnership with Chris and his team and anything that came up was dealt with as we went along. Absolute Gardens is a top, top trader and so say our neighbours too!

Have used Absolute Gardens on a number of occasions. This was probably the biggest job I have used them for. They have remodelled the entire frontage of my house with a new block-paved driveway, front wall, sidewall and fence. They also did a small rear patio. They were very accommodating and flexible. Work was done on time as planned and to an excellent standard. Really happy with everything and people have commented on how good the driveway looks and that it lifts the whole character of the house. Great job.

We have used Absolute Gardens once before and we were delighted with the workmanship then. This time we wanted to make changes to the lawn and add a pathway. Peter and Jack made a wonderful job. They thought through every part of the changes and offered constructive suggestions when required. We could not have asked for a more dedicated and hardworking team. They were highly efficient at all times and extremely neat and tidy. I would recommend Absolute Gardens every time.

Absolute gardens recently replaced and extended our existing patio, paths and steps with Indian sandstone. This included building an additional retaining wall and rebuilding and widening steps to the front of our house. Dan and Gary were very polite and tidy and did an excellent job. They always double-checked with us at each decision point. The end product meets all our requirements and was completed to schedule and budget. I was initially unsure about the slab colour but with Chris' guidance, I opted for a lighter shade than originally intended (to avoid excessive colour contrast between slabs). I have no hesitation in recommending Absolute Gardens.

We had a driveway and retaining wall completed. The crew were Peter and Jack. What can we say what a great work ethic. They were punctual and tidy. Their method of laying a driveway gives confidence that it will last many decades. We would have no hesitation in recommending this firm for all outdoor work that you need.

After several weather-related delays(!), the team from Absolute Gardens completed my job very quickly. Some decorative garden brickwork and repairs to a water feature surround just as planned. Very nice work, and a very tidy job as well.

The block wall of our 20 year old patio had cracked in several places and was increasingly leaning outwards. The pointing had mostly gone from between the slabs on the patio and the edge of the block front drive had crumbled. There was no easy fix for this. Chris advised that the wall would need to be rebuilt and in the event the retaining wall was inadequate and entire new footings and a block wall reinforced with steel was built by Gary. The original facing blocks were cleaned and reused and the entire patio relaid on a reinforced cement base. The team of Gary and Dan were there every day early and worked solidly until the job was done. Dan constructed an excellent fence and Gary's work on the patio was excellent and it looks great now.

We used Absolute Gardens to build a large patio area and re-vamp some other parts of our garden. Chris was great from the start. He came round to talk about what we wanted to do and give us his ideas. He gave us a quote which turned out to be pretty accurate (so often these things aren't!). The guys who did the work were great - prompt, friendly, easy to talk to, courteous and seemingly very hard-working. Work was spot on and communication was good throughout. We're really pleased with our new patio - it looks great - and would certainly use Chris and his team again.

My sadly overgrown fruit garden which had become too much for me to cope with has been replaced with paved paths, including a space for seating, and a gravel area. it looks beautiful now. Chris made lots of suggestions when he came to survey the ground and wasn't fazed by the quantity of fruit canes, bushes and other materials that required clearing. Pete, along with his assistant Dan, made an excellent job of the project and I am so pleased with it. Pete was able to make a few tweaks to the original plan as we discussed it and as occurred to him while the work was progressing, making it even better looking and safer for me to access. Pete is very thoughtful in his approach and friendly, skilful, tidy and hard working. I can thoroughly recommend Absolute gardens.

Urgent repair was undertaken to fence blown over during the recent windy weather. Service was very prompt and very professionally undertaken. I have used Absolute Gardens before and cannot recommend them highly enough. The teams know exactly what they are doing and have helpful suggestions. Great value for money and the quality of work completed is very high. Would not use any other gardening service.

Chris and his team created a new garden path for us and also built a flower bed while they were on site. We are very pleased with the outcome and have had lots of comments from neighbours about the quality of the work. Chris and his team were very easy to have around, very polite, tidy, punctual and accommodating. I have no hesitation in recommending Absolute Gardens and will use them again if we need more work doing.

Chris, Pete and the team did a great job building some new garden steps and a retaining wall. Very friendly and professional manner from the whole team, nothing too much trouble. We are very pleased with the new steps and wall. Chris and his team also provide garden maintenance for us on a fortnightly basis and along with that and the new steps and wall the garden has not looked better in a long while. Thank you very much - would recommend them for your landscaping and garden maintenance.

There were a series of jobs to be carried out. Chris was local, well reputed and reasonable for the work which was extensive. Time was of the essence as a new lawn was to be laid. Chris's team were prompt, skilled, polite and friendly. One day it rained all day but the building of a wall proceeded under gazebos. The site was left neat and tidy each day. Chris supervised the work and joined in where needed. Nothing was too much trouble. I am entirely satisfied now the job is complete. I will recommend Absolute Gardens should the opportunity arise.

When I got in touch with Chris from Absolute Gardens, I had an idea what I wanted to do with the garden, but wasn't sure what it would look like and after talking to Chris I knew I was going to get the garden I wanted, he had advised me what he thought would look nice and he was absolutely correct. When the team turned up they were so nice and really worked hard to give me the garden I wanted, all the work has been carried out in the timescales given. Chris and the team were complete professionals. The garden before consisted of some decking, some grass which had a slop and overgrown flower beds, now I have a completely paved garden which has been leveled, new stairs into the garden from a paved deck outside the patio doors, new stairs into the garage, two new flower beds, the whole garden looks amazing. I also have new raised flower beds in the front garden. I am so glad I put my trust in Chris and the team and as I am not really a gardener, I will also get the team to look after my garden going forward. Thank you Chris and the team for a beautiful job
