David installed a loft ladder, top up insulation and ventilation in our loft. On his initial visit to quote for the work, there was no hard sell, just honest sound advice as to the best way forward for our requirements. He was professional, tidy and polite. He made every effort to ensure the work was carried out to a high standard. We are extremely pleased with the final result and would certainly recommended him.

I was really happy with the work carried out by David. Communication with him at the beginning during the quotation stage was clear and prompt. I would certainly recommend David from Access4Lofts Cambridge for loft work. I contacted him to get a quote for the installation of a loft ladder and to improve insulation. Arranging the quote was quick, easy and pressure free. David asked about my intentions for the space and provided options only for the work I was interested in, and noted how I could reduce the cost by doing some tasks myself if I preferred. He quickly provided an itemized quote with several options as I requested. The prices were very reasonable, particularly in light of having looked into the costs of doing the work myself. There was no pressure or hard sell tactics at any point, just an open and helpful discussion of options. Once I accepted the quote, arranging the work was quick and easy despite some scheduling challenges on my side. The work was carried out to a high quality exactly as agreed and for the quoted price, despite a few additional minor challenges arising during the work. David was also careful in regards to my property and despite it being a messy job to extract some old materials from the loft space in order to complete the work, he left very little mess behind. Payment was easy with several options available to choose from. Communication was clear, prompt and polite throughout. Should I decide to make any further changes to my loft, I will start by contacting him again, and would unreservedly suggest others contact him for a quote if they are considering loft improvements.

David carried out a fantastic job creating a new hatch, boarding our loft and installing a ladder of our choice. He was very clear from the start, explaining what would be possible whilst listening to what we wanted. David is friendly and professional and he didn't try and add on any extras. We had a problem with a loft hatch which blew open several times during high winds and could have caused a nasty accident if anyone had been in the vicinity. It was also quite a bad fit as we had a series of house moths and cluster flies come down from the loft via the gaps at the edges of the hatch! David gave excellent advice in that we didn't need a new hatch but instead he fitted extra stoppers and a rubber insulation strip to the edges and a new, much safer catch. At the same time he removed some old boarding and put down Earthwool insulation in a section of the loft which was not insulated. It wasn't a huge job but David managed to fit us in fairly quickly. Excellent communication at all times and a very friendly, knowledgeable man.

David clearly explained the process, provided a quote and gave advice on how to maximise space available in the loft. We decided to have wooden shelves installed on either side of the loft in addition to getting the loft boarded and a loft ladder installed. David is highly professional and completed the work in one day to a high standard.

We had a new hatch with a loft ladder, flooring, shelving and insulation topped up. David arrived on the afternoon as stated in order to establish what work was required and to be able to supply a quote. We received the quote in less than 2 hours and agreed for the work to be carried out. We were provided with a two-day installation window, which was agreed. The day before installation we received a text message confirming that the work would be carried out the following day. David removed the old partial loft flooring that had not been installed properly. Once the work was completed, he provided a demonstration of how the new loft hatch and ladder worked and checked that we were both satisfied. David provided floor sheets to protect our carpets, all rubbish was removed from our premises and the work area was tidied and cleaned before he left. He also checked to make sure we were happy with his work. If you want similar work carried out, then Access4lofts should be your first point of call.
