David came a few weeks before the work and provided us with a quote. He didn’t a try to oversell and promise the word, and he delivered exactly what he promised. Came early in the morning as agreed, got all the tools and materials causing the least intrusion. He finished the job on time, to a high standard and I would definitely recommend his services to others.

Had a folding loft ladder and new hatch fitted this week. It was an excellent job and everywhere was left clean and tidy.

I was very surprised at how quick the job was completed. The installer was also not hesitant to tell me when he thought something was not necessary when I asked for his opinion, so I did not feel like I was being upsold on anything. After finishing, I spoke to the installer about work I was considering having done in the future, and he was friendly and gave me a lot of information. I walked around the attic after he had finished, and it felt very safe, and looked to have been done to a high standard. I would absolutely use this company again if I do choose to have more work done on my attic in future.

David was a joy to deal with from start to finish, he came and quoted for the works and then went to extra effort to ensure he completed the insulation part of the job before Christmas so we were nice and warm! The work included installing additional loft insulation, raised boarding over the insulation, loft shelving and installing a loft ladder. The initial quote was done quickly, and installation dates agreed about a month later. The quoted price was clearly set out and reasonably priced. David is a sole trader, so did the work himself and on the agreed dates. He was considerate and kept the house tidy. David provided a good clean job. No fuss and arrived on time. Notified when work would start and did exactly as required. We had loft insulation fitted and it was a very competitive price so we were extremely pleased.

We had a problem with a loft hatch which blew open several times during high winds and could have caused a nasty accident if anyone had been in the vicinity. It was also quite a bad fit as we had a series of house moths and cluster flies come down from the loft via the gaps at the edges of the hatch! David gave excellent advice in that we didn't need a new hatch but instead he fitted extra stoppers and a rubber insulation strip to the edges and a new, much safer catch. At the same time he removed some old boarding and put down Earthwool insulation in a section of the loft which was not insulated. It wasn't a huge job but David managed to fit us in fairly quickly. Excellent communication at all times and a very friendly, knowledgeable man.

David was highly professional and most careful with our new staircase and landing carpet. The new loft ladder functions perfectly, the loft hatch looks splendid, and he even dealt with a queen wasp which appeared to have intentions of setting up home in our loft! We are thoroughly satisfied customers, recommend without hesitation.

I was really happy with the work carried out by David. Communication with him at the beginning during the quotation stage was clear and prompt. I felt I was given suitable options and recommended the product that best suited my requirements. On the day of the installation, David arrived at the time we had agreed and the work was carried out swiftly but expertly. David said that he would arrive by 8am and that is when he arrived - and 3 hours after I finished work he did ! - he literally didn't stop until the work was finished which, we are particularly grateful because for personal reasons we needed the work completed as quickly as possible. We were given the choice of two different ladders at different prices - he offered to bring both so we could decide on the day - no pressure on choice. The price we were quoted was the price we paid - very happy with the quality of the work - friendly service - with useful advice and no pressure up-selling. Would I do it again and would I use David - the answer is yes to both questions.

David installed a loft ladder and part-boarded my loft in early September. He had previously been over to give an estimate and establish what was required so when he arrived on the day he had everything that he needed. He put dustsheets down everywhere and wore a PPE mask when walking through the house. The loft boarding looks great as does the new loft hatch and ladder. Before he left he demonstrated the ladder, allowed me to practice locking and unlocking the hatch and then after picking up the dustsheets he vacuumed. David was professional and thorough, the work was on budget and completed faster than expected and I would definitely recommend him.

On booking the work I was given good advice and explanation. The trader turned up when promised and texted me to say when he was on his way. He did the work promptly and carefully explained the operation of the loft hatch. Dust sheets were laid during the work and surfaces were cleaned up afterwards. The actual cost came in under the estimate. A very positive experience.

I contacted Access4Lofts Cambridge for a quote to either replace or repair the loft ladder. David advised that a new ladder was unnecessary and a new hatch + latch would suffice. This has now been done and I am pleased with the result, i.e. I can put the ladder away securely. All communication with David was efficient, clear and helpful. The work was done exactly as described with no hidden costs. I have no hesitation in recommending Access4Lofts Cambridge.

I enquired about getting a new loft hatch for my father. David contacted me straight away. My father's house was outside David's area so was unable to do the work. He did offer to provide a cost that my father could use to ensure that is wasn't being over charged by a local company. He didn't need to do this and no doubt would have cost him time to do but for my father it will be invaluable. It is refreshing to see a trader go out of his way to ensure some does not get ripped off. Thank you David.
