Mission Statement: Against the Grain Flooring
I'm passionate about renovating and restoring wood floors. Any room can be instantly transformed once freshly sanded and refinished giving long lasting character and style to your home.
From the initial survey I go above and beyond to cater to each project’s specific needs whether that be a light sanding and finish or more substantial repairs. Offering a wide range of finishes from a simple varnish to oils and stains I can advise on the most appropriate finish to suit your needs and taste.
Based in Cheshire, I cover Cheshire East & West, Greater Manchester, Stockport, Stoke On Trent.
I have the experience and skills necessary to tackle all domestic or commercial wood floor renovation jobs in a professional and efficient way delivering exceptional results.

Stuart's work is of the highest standard . He kept to his original estimate, although it took longer than expected. He gave great before and after advice, including how to look after the floors in the future . Stuart left the house clean and tidy at the end of each day, we were amazed at how little dust there was. The floors look amazing, just like new! Would definitely use Stuart again and will recommend his services to all our friends and family.

Stuart from ATG sanded and lacquered our living room floorboards and did an amazing job. He was friendly, reliable and trustworthy and responded quickly to messages. He really listened to what we wanted the floor to look like and it turned out perfectly. We will be asking him to do other rooms in future. Would absolutely recommend.

Stuart refurbished already existing floorboards by sanding and varnishing them. Stuart also did a great job of mending some problem areas of loose and squeaky floorboards. Stuart was punctual and polite We're very pleased with the finished look.. The work was done to a fantastic standard and we'd highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top standard of work at a very reasonable price.

ATG completed sanding several floors in my house. Communication and timing was excellent compared to other traders I've used. Stuart has done work for us on 3 separate occasions (bedroom floor, living room floor & kitchen floor). His work has been amazing on all occasions and he is an absolutely lovely guy - very friendly, helpful and professional. He has gone over and above, working late, fitting his schedule around ours and has completely transformed our wooden floors.
