I apologise for the delay in this review. I had my windows fitted by Alaskan in December and I am super happy with the job. Really friendly guys, they made a great effort to keep the place tidy and at a really competitive price. Unlike any of the other quotes I had, they came back to me with a quote based on the makers figures from the dimensions given. This gave me complete confidence that I was getting a fair price and it really was for the work that was done. I will be using them for the rest of my windows on the house. A special thanks to Brendan and Martin who fixed the windows for me.

I had UPVC window replacement in my loft, which was fine and of good quality. However, I also had an aluminium sliding door, installed in my kitchen which leaves me speechless. It has no handle on the outside. So you are trapped in the garden. This was not explained to me. Otherwise, I would have chosen a different design. So very mixed feelings about Alaskan windows to be honest. They have not offered to to do anything to rectify the sliding door problem which is Major in my opinion It looks ridiculous.

Thank you for your review. I appreciate your feedback and am glad that you are happy with the loft window. In regards to the aluminium sliding door I am obviously concerned to read your comments. Having looked into this further, the aluminium door was selected to give the narrowest possible sight-lines and largest opening span. The engineering of this design dictates that the outer door is required to slide completely over the inner door which would not be possible with an external handle. Unfortunately in instances where aesthetics are the primary concern for customers there is unfortunately a trade-off with the other specification features that are available. This was the third time we've used Alaskan Windows now - and we've had another great experience. Douglas turned the quote around really quickly, and Connor & Brendan did a great job on the day. Exactly what we wanted, no fuss, good price, great installation, clean, quick, friendly and really easy to approach and deal with.
