Alban Locksmiths Ltd are based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. We have a shop which stocks a wide range of locks and hardware and also has an extensive key cutting service, including various vehicle keys. Our locksmith services cover Herts, beds and bucks and all local surrounding areas. All our staff are DBS checked and our account customers range from County Councils, police, schools and collages to many small and large businesses in the local and surrounding areas. We also attend to personal households daily for call outs for door and lock repairs, open ups, window repairs, vehicle security and any security to properties. I’ve had these guys out before (when I locked myself out!) and they were great then - this time my patio door lock broke just before the heatwave! They came out within a few hours, managed to fix the existing lock and also sorted me out with some extra keys for my windows. Really nice, trustworthy company - would recommend to all my friends and family.

I asked Alban Locksmiths to sort out three different locks in a flat which had recently been vacated by tenants. The locksmith arrived promptly at 8.30am, as scheduled, and worked solidly until 1.30pm. The first two jobs - fitting replacement bolts to a garage door and additional locks to a patio door - were completed quickly. However, replacing the lock on the front door proved to be quite a challenge as the door and its frame were both worn and fitting the new lock in the same place as the old lock involved a lot of adjustment until everything worked properly. The work took longer than anticipated, but I was billed for the amount I was quoted. I would be happy to use Alban Locksmiths again and to recommend them to others.

My business has used the services of Alban Locksmiths for many years. They have always been extremely helpful and friendly and nothing appears to be too much trouble for them. Recently needed adjustment on front door lock. As a business centre that requires 24 hour entry for a number of clients, a front door not locking/opening would be a complete nightmare! I rang the shop and explained the issue and was told somebody would be round at 2 pm i.e. 1 hour from the phone call. 2 pm the person turned up and refixed the lock to enable it to function correctly. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic service from start to finish, I had a same day call out, the chap on the phone was knowledgeable and told me the possible outcomes and cost so I knew what it would be. The guy who came out Dave I think was polite helpful and worked really quickly they managed to repair my lock without the cost of a new one. Would highly recommend Alban Locks to anyone.
