Allen and Young Removals

Compared with some of the jobs in other reviews this was a relatively small job but I seem to have received just as good service, if not better. What was especially great about it was that Kelvin was willing to come at short notice just before Christmas. I had recently sold a cottage and moved everything except the large pieces of furniture into my present already-furnished home so that every room was full of dozens of boxes of books, lampshades, heavy mirrors, pictures, bedding, rugs, cushions, little tables etc etc making the rooms impossible to live in. Kelvin plus one other efficiently moved everything to the loft and remained friendly throughout. They were flexible about adding and subtracting items as well as removing a disintegrating sofa from the loft that I had not previously asked them to do. There was a small extra charge for disposal of the sofa and a couple of other awkwardly shaped items as I hadn't originally asked for this, which was understandable. Otherwise the invoice was as agreed and I'd definitely recommend and use Allen & Young again myself.

Move from Uxbridge to Cardiff. Over 2 days October 2024. Total cost of packing, packing materials, and the move carried out by 5 members of the team over 2 days. £3276.59. I cannot praise Kelvin and his team enough for helping us through the extreme stress that moving house always seems to put you under. We certainly feel that we were very lucky in being able to employ the services of Kelvin, Andy, Joe and the 2 lads for our long move to South Wales. We had a few works of art to move, fragile ornaments and several items consisting of glass shelving so we required a removal company that would be careful, respectful and knowledgeable of packaging and safe transit of our goods and most certainly Allen & Young were excellent and completely faultless in carrying out this task. As agreed, Andy, Joe and the 2 lads turned up on time the day before the move with all the materials needed and proceeded to carefully pack all the items that we required to take with us, mark the contents on the boxes, and put them on the van. All the lads were friendly and cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble for them even though a 10 hr day must've been tough they worked tirelessly until every item was on the van. The following morning two vans headed for Cardiff and 5 cheery faces greeted us in our new home. Each item was placed in it's required room, not an easy task when moving from one 3 story house to another. A 1st class job from a 1st class company. I truly doubt there is better out there.

Kelvin and his team could not have been more helpful. Thoroughly professional, nothing was too much trouble. Advice was first rate, great care was shown with all my belongings and everything at the new address put exactly where I wanted. The team was hard working and I am so glad to have chosen them for my move. Everything done on time and as promised, and I thought the quote and subsequent invoice were very reasonable. I have no hesitation in recommending this team and company - absolutely excellent!

Kelvin and Andy arrived punctually to take boxes from our house in Bristol to a flat in London. They were courteous, cheerful and methodical and treated our house with great care. Our daughter was very happy with their unloading in London. We are very grateful to them for making a small but necessary move so easy.

We recently moved from London up to Herefordshire. We had a large, four storey house which was full of furniture and objects acquired over a thirty year period We moved to a much smaller property and knew that it would be quite a task storing all the boxes and furniture. Kelvin had accurately estimated what type of boxes and how many we would need. He planned to move us in two vehicles over a four day period. The move began on a Monday with Kelvin, Andy and a friendly team of very professional guys who arrived on time. Moving house is extremely stressful but we were in excellent hands. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was polite, respectful and kind as they carefully packed their two large vans. The unpacking of the vans at the new property the next day was as expertly done. The attention as to where and how to stack everything from the old home into the new one was accomplished with constant checking that things were going into the places where it would be easy to see the labels and find again. We really can’t praise this company highly enough and wholeheartedly recommend them if you want a trouble free move by an experienced, kind and very professional crew

Kelvin and his team worked so hard for 4 days to get our vast amount of ‘stuff’ packed and delivered from our big house to our small already full house. They were friendly and helpful and followed our instructions. We weren’t well enough to supervise and they completed the job in good humour and with great care. We’ve moved a lot and Allen & Young are the best company we’ve used. Highly recommended

Kelvin and his team were very efficient, but didn't rush and took great care with our belongings. They even packed a few extra fragile items I hadn't specified ahead of time. Highly recommend - I would use them again if I ever move again.

We have used Allen & Young twice to move and on the second move, we used their packing service as well. The movers are friendly, helpful and professional. Their packing service also helped significantly to reduce the stress of the move the second time! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a removal company.

I've just recommended this company to a friend who is moving and I was reminded that I hadn't left a review. Not much to say other than they were good. They stored all my furniture and the price was very reasonable. I am very happy to recommend them to friends and family.

They are on time, quick, friendly and fair. They arrived exactly on the agreed time. Very carefull about handling the boxes and furniture.
