At short notice, Kelvin provided us with his guys who were considerate, helpful and hard working to move furniture in advance of room redecoration and take away unwanted items. A major headache wiped away in a morning! Highly recommended.

Kelvin and his team did an outstanding job. I booked them to both pack up my property and then on the following day, to move my belongings to the new property. On both days, the team arrived promptly. Worked hard all day. Were courteous, uncomplaining and efficient. In short they were a joy to work with. The cost for such good service was highly competitive. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Very professional service for our move in September 2025. We were extremely pleased with the work done; the team has been very careful when handling the furniture and the boxes. Found Kelvin and his team by chance on Next door. Chose them among five others. Moved a house into two different flats on two different dates. Loved them. The team is great, nice, careful, friendly, respectful, fun. They care, they are creative with constraints, helpful and dedicated. We are absolutely delighted that we consulted Which Trusted Traders and found Allen & Young to move some of my mum's furniture from London up to the northwest. From our first telephone conversation, Kelvin was efficient, courteous, helpful and professional. No difficult web forms to complete. He was able to assess our needs simply from talking them through. There was no unnecessary communication or harassment, just an agreement with follow up email confirmation. This was such a relief after the stress we had experienced from other possible providers. On the day, Kelvin and Andy turned up punctually and showed consummate knowledge and care in the way they handled all the furniture. They gave us an expected time of arrival in the northwest and confirmed a more exact time when they were drawing close. My daughter, who received them at our house, reported that the men were lovely. They carefully sorted and placed things where asked, making the chairs look as though they had always belonged and ensuring items stowed in the hall and garage were treated just as carefully to maintain easy access for us when we returned home. Throughout the process, they were gentle, polite, supportive and understanding. We would recommend them very highly indeed.

Kelvin and the team of movers were exemplary. They were particularly good at dealing with the tensions and indecisions which are part of moving house - calm, relaxed, helpful. It was particularly good that they could dispose of unwanted items of furniture which we really didn't want to have to take with us. Add to that the speed and skill with which beds and furniture were dismantled, taken into a block of flats, manoeuvred into a lift and along narrow corridors. A five-star performance.

Had a great experience with this removal team. They were friendly, professional, and handled everything with care. Our moving day included some uncertainty around completion time, but they responded calmly and flexibly, adjusting their plans without fuss. It made a stressful day much easier. Really helpful and provided a solid, reliable service throughout — would happily recommend.

Kelvin and his team provide a truly impressive service. I had a complicated timetable of packing up different parts of my house and then having different lots of boxes returned at different times. Kelvin managed all this to suit my requirements and took all the stress out of a difficult time. His team were a delight to have working in the house at a time when things could have been really trying. They packed up 20 years of family life in a surprisingly short timespan, labelled all the boxes, and then later several months down the track when the building work was completed, they returned it all in different instalments to the right rooms and at the times I asked. I cannot speak highly enough of them. I strongly recommend them to anyone. Very helpful, polite, hard working, efficient, and excellent value for money. If I ever need to move again, they will be my first choice!

This was an extremely well organised and planned move (eg packing over two days before the move). It was carried out by an equally cheerful and can-do team! I'd definitely use them again. Boxes were labelled, furniture and key items were placed where I chose in the new flat and a couple of box-free areas for normal living were created. They managed to overcome seemingly impossible barriers such a getting a collection of fairly heavy plant pots onto a raised terrace surrounded by heavy existing planters. It's a pity they don't unpack but maybe that isn't feasible unless you know in advance exactly where you want everything to go. It seemed a large amount to pay but given the amount of work involved, and its quality, I think that was fair.

In everything Allen & Young were exemplary: in helpful labelling, almost wholly recyclable packaging, careful and attentive transportation of a variety of fragile items. Across two high rise blocks they transported all our worldly goods and they were a calming presence in our move.

Kelvin and his staff packed all of our contents with great skill, care and efficiency. On the following day, they came and moved 83 boxes plus several garment boxes and all the furniture, beds, paintings etc. Everything was done with care and nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend Kelvin and his company.

Very professional and great team of careful movers. I used the packing service and they packed one day and moved the following day. Dismantled and rebuilt the large furniture. Very recommended.

Compared with some of the jobs in other reviews this was a relatively small job but I seem to have received just as good service, if not better. What was especially great about it was that Kelvin was willing to come at short notice just before Christmas. I had recently sold a cottage and moved everything except the large pieces of furniture into my present already-furnished home so that every room was full of dozens of boxes of books, lampshades, heavy mirrors, pictures, bedding, rugs, cushions, little tables etc etc making the rooms impossible to live in. Kelvin plus one other efficiently moved everything to the loft and remained friendly throughout. They were flexible about adding and subtracting items as well as removing a disintegrating sofa from the loft that I had not previously asked them to do. There was a small extra charge for disposal of the sofa and a couple of other awkwardly shaped items as I hadn't originally asked for this, which was understandable. Otherwise the invoice was as agreed and I'd definitely recommend and use Allen & Young again myself.

Move from Uxbridge to Cardiff. Over 2 days October 2024. Total cost of packing, packing materials, and the move carried out by 5 members of the team over 2 days. £3276.59. I cannot praise Kelvin and his team enough for helping us through the extreme stress that moving house always seems to put you under. We certainly feel that we were very lucky in being able to employ the services of Kelvin, Andy, Joe and the 2 lads for our long move to South Wales. We had a few works of art to move, fragile ornaments and several items consisting of glass shelving so we required a removal company that would be careful, respectful and knowledgeable of packaging and safe transit of our goods and most certainly Allen & Young were excellent and completely faultless in carrying out this task. As agreed, Andy, Joe and the 2 lads turned up on time the day before the move with all the materials needed and proceeded to carefully pack all the items that we required to take with us, mark the contents on the boxes, and put them on the van. All the lads were friendly and cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble for them even though a 10 hr day must've been tough they worked tirelessly until every item was on the van. The following morning two vans headed for Cardiff and 5 cheery faces greeted us in our new home. Each item was placed in it's required room, not an easy task when moving from one 3 story house to another. A 1st class job from a 1st class company. I truly doubt there is better out there.

Kelvin and his team could not have been more helpful. Thoroughly professional, nothing was too much trouble. Advice was first rate, great care was shown with all my belongings and everything at the new address put exactly where I wanted. The team was hard working and I am so glad to have chosen them for my move. Everything done on time and as promised, and I thought the quote and subsequent invoice were very reasonable. I have no hesitation in recommending this team and company - absolutely excellent!

Kelvin and Andy arrived punctually to take boxes from our house in Bristol to a flat in London. They were courteous, cheerful and methodical and treated our house with great care. Our daughter was very happy with their unloading in London. We are very grateful to them for making a small but necessary move so easy.

We recently moved from London up to Herefordshire. We had a large, four storey house which was full of furniture and objects acquired over a thirty year period We moved to a much smaller property and knew that it would be quite a task storing all the boxes and furniture. Kelvin had accurately estimated what type of boxes and how many we would need. He planned to move us in two vehicles over a four day period. The move began on a Monday with Kelvin, Andy and a friendly team of very professional guys who arrived on time. Moving house is extremely stressful but we were in excellent hands. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was polite, respectful and kind as they carefully packed their two large vans. The unpacking of the vans at the new property the next day was as expertly done. The attention as to where and how to stack everything from the old home into the new one was accomplished with constant checking that things were going into the places where it would be easy to see the labels and find again. We really can’t praise this company highly enough and wholeheartedly recommend them if you want a trouble free move by an experienced, kind and very professional crew

Kelvin and his team worked so hard for 4 days to get our vast amount of ‘stuff’ packed and delivered from our big house to our small already full house. They were friendly and helpful and followed our instructions. We weren’t well enough to supervise and they completed the job in good humour and with great care. We’ve moved a lot and Allen & Young are the best company we’ve used. Highly recommended

Kelvin and his team were very efficient, but didn't rush and took great care with our belongings. They even packed a few extra fragile items I hadn't specified ahead of time. Highly recommend - I would use them again if I ever move again.

We have used Allen & Young twice to move and on the second move, we used their packing service as well. The movers are friendly, helpful and professional. Their packing service also helped significantly to reduce the stress of the move the second time! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a removal company.

I've just recommended this company to a friend who is moving and I was reminded that I hadn't left a review. Not much to say other than they were good. They stored all my furniture and the price was very reasonable. I am very happy to recommend them to friends and family.

They are on time, quick, friendly and fair. They arrived exactly on the agreed time. Very carefull about handling the boxes and furniture.

When I contacted Kelvin at the last minute about moving us out of a third-floor walk-up in Covent Garden I was amazed to find that he and his team were extremely cheerful, careful, hard-working and attentive to anything whatsoever that might make me unhappy about the business of getting too much stuff down the stairs and out the door. They clapped and cheered at the end of the day. Six months later, when they brought all that stuff to our new home in South Wales, it was the same again. Nothing was too much trouble. They solved problems that had nothing to do with the move. Complicated pieces which they'd carefully dissassembled in London (a sofa bed, a lovely glass table with drop-down wings) were just as carefully reassembled again in Wales. I cannot speak too highly of their customer service and especially of the way they made it almost pleasant to be moving house.

I can not recommend Kelvin and his team highly enough. They were absolutely fantastic in helping us on our big move from London to the Kent coast. They were very patient and kind in packing up our lovely old house. The personal attention we received was so re-assuring in what we all know is a very stressful time when moving. They were just excellent.
