Allied Trade Services are heating and plumbing engineers based in Edinburgh. We are members of SNIPEF and are also Gas Safe registered. We are able to carry out both commercial and domestic gas fitting work along with general plumbing. We have specialist boiler breakdown and servicing engineers and our highly skilled team take pride in the high standard of work we produce.
Allied Trade Services welcome all work regardless of size. Our current clients range from domestic householders, property renovation companies to large housing associations.
All of our tradesmen are time served. They also have a wide knowledge and experience of both modern and old types of plumbing systems and boilers.

Just used for the second time, on this occasion a boiler service. Straightforward to book, reasonable price, came when they said, and a thoroughly professional job done (by Grant). Previous occasion was a hot water cylinder replacement, a much bigger job, but also done to excellent standards.

Allied Trade recently completed quite a large drainage project for us, related to our house extension. All members of the team were helpful and professional, from original contact, communications with office, and engineers on site. The work was completed to a high standard, on time, and cost was as quoted. The team liaised with Building Standards at various stages to ensure the work met required standards. The site was left safe and tidy at the end of each working day. We are very pleased with the work and will definitely recommend to others.

I have had problems with my heating system for years and had tried numerous plumbing and heating engineers. Finally, I phone Allied Plumbing and Heating and I am glad I did. At long last I found trade operatives that were willing to go the extra mile and look for the root cause of the issue rather than just keep coming out and doing repairs. They explained everything well and were tidy, friendly and extremely competent. Tamarra in the office was also fantastic at keeping me informed and scheduling work and parts. Can't thank them enough. It is great to have confidence in my heating and hot water system.

From their initial estimate to completion of the work, communication from them was excellent as was their estimation of timescale. On discovering a leaking pipe, Allied were the first emergency plumbers we found on a trusted trader site that picked up. The engineers (Liston and Kieran) were out within less than an hour (well within the 2.5 hour window we were initially advised). They repaired the initial leak efficiently and well, ensuring two further, hidden, leaking pipe sections were repaired as well. They were friendly, efficient, and effective. They wasted no time in making good the required repairs - one of which was in tricky circumstances - and we paid exactly what we were told we'd pay at the outset, and very reasonable at that. Based upon today's experience, I rate them very highly, have no reservations in seeking their services again, and am very happy to recommend them.

Allied Trade replaced my flat boiler - I had an old system boiler that was unreliable and taking up a lot of space. Allied Trade sent someone out to take a look at my old boiler, water tanks, pump etc. and he gave me some great advice to change my setup to a new combi boiler. He also gave me some good advice on what boiler I could get within my budget. The plumbers really knew their stuff and this made the whole process stress free - amazing considering it was quite a big job. New boiler and freed-up storage cupboard. I would highly recommend Allied Trade!

They replaced old LPG Combi boiler with new boiler for water and CH, also replaced a kitchen sink unit and taps. The work was executed on time and on budget. Very professional and skilful (mainly by Kieran) minimum of disturbance, very clean and tidy and good explanations of how everything worked before handing over. Very friendly, responded to request for quote very timely, answered all the queries before starting. Good communications throughout. Cameron, the gaffer came personally to check everything ok. Will employ them for some bathroom work.

Boiler broken down on the weekend and within a few hours on Saturday, Cameron the plumber had arrived to help. Having found the issue and organised new parts to be ready for collection on Monday. On the day, prompt call in the morning, to arrange access and by midday boiler fixed and working smoothly. Very reliable and friendly service. One of the best Small independent plumbing firms in the city.
