Shane was very easy to talk to, and to explain what we wanted. He came up with some good ideas which we incorporated. Very satisfied with the work undertaken which was very professional and finished in time and to our budget. Our drive which badly needed renovation has been totally transformed.

Ashley Paving did a great job on our patio at the back and at the front. They were very professional and did everything we asked for. They worked fast and to the agreed budget, they went out of their way to finish everything as we wanted, even moving our garden furniture to the new patio. We would highly recommend them.

I wanted a small area (8ft by 5ft long) of lawn removed and a new patio area installed using sandstone pavers to match existing sandstone pathways. I had already seen Ashley Paving’s work as they installed my neighbour’s new drive and did a great job. The quote was reasonable and I was warned it might be short notice as the job was relatively small And the weather was iffy - which was fine by me. They turned up on time, were extremely polite and courteous and completed the job in two days. All rubbish was removed and I was consulted at every stage. They checked I was happy before leaving. I paid exactly what was quoted and was very pleased with the finished job. It was exactly what I had wanted. Shane was a pleasure to deal with.

Ashley replaced our entire drive 6 months ago with permeable block paving and built a concrete post boundary fence They stuck to budget and finished the work in good time. Shane was very helpful and happy to discuss what they were doing at each stage. The drive has been down 6 months now and there are no issues and we are still delighted with it.

Shane and his team have just laid an off street parking area and paved the side return and back patio. Faultless job, nice guys working for him, super tidy and amenable and Shane himself was always a pleasure to deal with - cheery and helpful and nothing too much trouble. Shane and his team of professionals achieved a wonderful transformation for us. Quality workmanship, attention to detail and all completed to an incredible standard. It was a swift and systematic operation; clean and tidy throughout. The task was completed on time and Sean was always available for questions and clarifying any details. We had to have some alterations during the build, and these were accomplished and delivered with helpful advice and solutions along the way. All modifications required still honoured the overall design and look we wanted to achieve. Shane and his two-man team completed the excavation and concrete foundation for our summerhouse on time and with no fuss. Access to the site was difficult and the garden is steeply sloping. This seemed too challenging for some other contractors approached, but Shane's team made light work of it. He is clearly very experienced and resourceful and is also a pleasure to deal with. Shane and gang did a brilliant job repairing and rebuilding a 50 year old asphalt drive which was breaking up, showing its age etc. Impressive and thorough groundwork and prep. including new round top edging to the borders. Tarmac finish has been well laid. Good communicator, not pushy. Work completed on schedule and within budget. Highly recommended.

Shane of Ashley Paving Limited has delivered us a high quality drive replacing our tired old drive with superior service and to schedule. Delightful, polite, clean and tidy, Ashley Paving is a complete professional outfit. Although initially I wanted to resurface with tarmacadam, Shane surveyed carefully and advised the property deserves block paving, which would uplift the appearance of the front significantly. Our drive is on sloping ground with streams running underground. I was concerned about water from the streams running towards the building causing damages. Shane made a number of valid suggestions making a better solution than what I had originally planned. Shane provided a number of sample blocks and suggested layout options. Shane addressed each of my concerns appropriately before the start of the work. He fully engaged with me at every step as the work progressed. Shane was accommodating to my changes as we encountered issues during the work. What attracted me to Ashley Paving is that Shane runs this as a family business, his sons work with him along with a long-time associate who is an expert in laying blocks. They are competent, polite and caring despite working in a chaotic situation. The quality and workmanship provided by Ashley Paving is of a very high standard. I contacted Shane at Ashley Paving for a quote for a new resin drive due to the plentiful positive reviews on their Trusted Trader page. Shane came out to my property to assess my work requirements and promised to send me a quote which he had neither the courtesy nor decency to do unfortunately. To surmise, it was a complete waste of my time. It makes a mockery of the review system when traders like this who have the highest ratings turn out to be absolutely discourteous and nonchalant.

New driveway completed in a week and then returned to seal the block paving. Kept us informed all the time and left the front tidy each day. Very professional. Would recommend to anyone

I have no hesitation in recommending Shane and his team. They replaced my worn out tarmac driveway with a block paved drive and installed a drainage system to divert an underground stream. It was not a straightforward rectangular flat driveway - irregular shape & on a slope leading to double garage. The attention to detail was first class as was his recommendation on the choice of materials. My neighbour is now having his driveway done by Shane too.

Four years ago (2016) Ashley Paving created a beautiful patio for us. The work was completed entirely to our satisfaction. Needing a second patio (June 2020), which will be both a base for a new greenhouse and a seating area, Ashley Paving were the obvious choice. Ashley Paving replaced our existing pathway and patio area. They also created two large platform steps leading up to our front door. The work was completed within the promised timescale and as per quotation. Shane and his team were friendly and very flexible when minor changes were requested.
