About

Established in 2003, Avant Garde has treated hundreds of properties across the South East, including domestic, commercial and historical buildings. Treatments for woodworm, dry rot and rising damp have been carried out successfully, with no signs of re-infestation.

We hold full membership with Sovereign Chemicals, the gold standard in building products, and are governed by their strict requirements as to the quality of workmanship and materials used on all our contracts. Work completed by us will be guaranteed in accordance with our specialist reports, supplied to each client after our initial visit.

COVID-19 POLICY: We are continuing to provide our expert service throughout the restrictions. Avant Garde quickly identified the cause of damp in our front room and took immediate steps to rectify the problem both inside and outside the house. Their hard working team were highly skilled and friendly, were able to clearly explain the process, and took great care to keep the house as clean and impact free as possible. I would recommend this company to anyone with damp issues.

Ben's team did a big job of damp remediation at my residence. They also fixed some plaster that was in poor shape. He has a team of nice and professional guys. The work came out great and they got it done in good time.

We employed Avant Gard to treat a damp problem we had on 2 walls. In addition we asked for some repair jobs to some historical problems we had with damaged walls. The team know their stuff and completed quite a lot of work in 3 days. The problem has, as far as we can see been resolved. The process involved an initial survey which is carried out prior to any work and then we were given options on the best treatment. Overall, a solid job and I would recommend

Damp Proofing and treatment for woodworm
Ben and his team provided a realistic and competitive quotation against others received to undertake damp proof treatment to lower level rooms in a property built in 1893. He took the time to explain carefully the work being suggested, the materials to be used and how these would be effective in treating the damp issues that existed. The work was completed to the schedule that was stated. The team were very diligent in their preparation of the area, covering floors and furniture to ensure no damage was done as they worked. There was good communication and explanation as the work progressed. Very happy with the work done. Thanks Ben and your colleagues! Much appreciated.

A damp survey was conducted thoroughly in the course of which we gained good advice. This was followed by a by a comprehensive report containing all the advice and more. We needed some work done so that our damp course could work; we also needed some internal work which involved stripping back one internal wall and re-plastering it. The work was carried out efficiently and to a good standard. We feel that our damp problem has been comprehensively and professionally dealt with. Communication was excellent, queries were immediately responded to.
