Mark contacted us within a couple of hours of us making the request with OVO online. He was with us 8.30am (lucky cancellation) - the job needed some parts and her returned later in the day and got out heating and water up and running again. He was efficient, explained everything he was doing, tidy, polite and overall an excellent service - would HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Booked at 1115pm on 24/11/21. Arrived within the allocated time schedule and advised by phone 40mins before arrival. Efficient diagnosis of the problem and options and cost fully discussed. Pump replaced quickly. Informative and friendly service. Booked via Local Heroes so hourly labour rate expensive but it was an emergency call out and repair in a house with young children so relieved to have a positive resolution

I have been using Boiler rescue for a couple of years now. His work is excellent. His invoicing are clear and precise. He never puts any pressure on,never oversells. Mark responded promptly to our call and a time and date was arranged for a visit to inspect an upstairs radiator. Mark examined the leak and clearly explained the cause and the proposed solution. He carried out the repair efficiently and successfully. Throughout the visit Mark maintained a friendly and accessible manner and answered our questions about when to bleed the radiators. Mark demonstrated his consideration for own premises by wearing overshoes and clearing away any debris. He checked the repair for any possible leaks and ensured that our heating and hot water controls were set correctly. Mark maintained a friendly and professional approach in his dealings with us. We appreciate his consistent reliability and expertise.

This is the second time in two years I have used Mark from Boiler Rescue and both times he has fixed the problem quickly and reasonably. My boiler is over 20 years old but he has found the spares and resolved the problem each time. The first one was a faulty fan and the second was a valve. He is helpful, explains what he is doing and why and also has the technology to invoice and take payment on the spot. Thoroughly recommended.

I have previously used Boiler Rescue in the summer when we had a problem with our boiler. Mark came to our home to repair the boiler then and was very professional and did the job. Fast forward 6 months and we are in the process of wanting to rent our property and require a gas safety certificate. Our insurance company sent someone to do this but unfortunately they were not very good which I won't go into. Needless to say I wanted to get a second opinion of someone I trust and contacted Mark to see if he could help. He responded immediately and we were booked in two days later. He arrived when he said he would and took the time to go through the process and talk through what he was doing with me. Once again found him very professional, very good at what he does and great communication. Also received the gas safety certificate within an hour of him leaving which is just great service. Will contact him again if needed as he is trusted and can be relied upon. Thank you to Mark and Boiler Rescue once again.

Found that the boiler stopped working on Sunday mid morning; not a good to have problems with the boiler but luckily we reached to Mark and he agreed to come and look at the issue. He was able to identify the cause swiftly and fixed it. He also explained what might have caused the issue and things to consider in future.

My husband and I just moved into our house. We wanted to turn the heating on but radiators were ice cold even though boiler was turned on and temp. was set on the hive. On Saturday late evening, now at a complete loss, I browsed the British Gas website to see if we could get an engineer to visit. I contacted Mark via localheroes.com (backed by BG), submitted the job details via the online form, was given a quote and waited for a response. Sunday morning got a call from Mark, saying he would be able to visit same day to diagnose but if he didn't have the parts then would arrange to come back - no problem. Arrived in the afternoon, he took a look at the boiler, explained the problem and how he was going to repair. Job was done within an hour. Would highly recommend!

Beware of the call out charge

On the Trusted Traders website there were the words...( we offer a no call out charge..). However, I called out this trader and after 10 minutes of looking at the job he said he could not do it but then charged ÂŁ90 for the call out. When confronted about it he claimed the call-out was coming to the door and looking at the job was analysis and therefore it is a charge even though he said he could not repair the boiler. I feel I was knowingly misled as he could have made this clear before attendance but when I pointed this out he did not offer a refund. I would not recommend him.

I am sorry you have felt mislead in this regard. The charge is for our investigation and diagnosis of the problem. Unfortunately the boilers age and condition meant that we were unable to offer you a repair as the boiler is beyond economical repair. We will endeavour to help customers understand our charges in the future.
