Jamie and Pat replaced my old Alpha combi boiler. Replaced most of the gas supply pipe from where it enters the flat because the diameter of the existing pipe was too small. The old boiler had not been condensing, so they replaced the flue and added plume management kit which takes fumes away from my bedroom window. They installed a pump within boiler cupboard to pump condensate water around the kitchen at skirting board/plinth level, into the kitchen sink waste pipe. Jamie explained this would make an occasional humming noise but so far I haven't heard it at all. Installed a wireless thermostat in my living room. Magna cleanse of all the rads. Budget: It was done exactly to budget as in the quote. I had obtained a second quote for installation of a Vaillant combi, which was £1,000+ more. 2nd quote did not need me to clear half of living room and bedroom out. Well worth clearing out for £1,000 difference! First impressions: Jamie was unfazed by all my questions, clearly knew his stuff and calmly explained what was needed. Later I emailed questions and he responded promptly and straightforwardly. He and Pat were polite, tidy and efficient, and disposed of the old boiler straight away. The immediate difference is warmth in every room, and quietness. Am very pleased with the result, they did a brilliant job. Schedule: The day before, Jamie contacted me to delay the work by a day. This was OK for me on this occasion.

I have no problem recommending Brown's Heating Services based on the work just carried out. I got a quote from Jamie on the Sunday evening and by Thursday the work was done! This was a boiler replacement and Jamie provided quotes based on my requirements rather than pushing any particular make as I had with British Gas. The quote was also several hundred pounds less than BG. Jamie was excellent at keeping me informed about when he could make it and luckily (for me) he had a client drop out so I was able to take the spot that same week. He and his colleague arrived when they said they would and took care to make sure they kept a good distance and wore protective shoes to make sure nothing was brought into the house. The whole job was well executed and professional (including pointing out the dodgy wiring left behind by the previous plumber). Jamie literally left the kitchen cleaner than when he arrived. Top work!

We hired Browns to install a new Worcester Bosch combi boiler to replace two ancient boilers in the house we just moved into. It was quite a complex job given the age and positioning of our old system. Jamie was very professional when he arrived to give a quote and was very clear in explaining what the job would entail, any challenges that might come up that would add to the cost or disruption, and laid out our options clearly. He wasn't pushy to get us to buy the most expensive system. It was quite expensive but not out of line with other quotes we received, including British Gas. We thought in advance we wanted a Worcester Bosch, and knew that he was accredited with them, so that did help, as he could give us a guaranteed product. After telling him we wanted to go ahead with the quote he was very quick in getting onto the job. He worked fast and left the place spotlessly clean afterwards. So far everything has been great with the new boiler too. Would definitely recommend Browns to anyone looking for a new boiler installation.

After dealing with various boiler engineers over the years who invariably end up being difficult to communicate with, impatient, incompetent, unreliable, unqualified, etc., it's great to finally find one, after much searching online, who is qualified (Gas Safety, G3 certified, etc.), good communicator, friendly, helpful, and reliable! Jamie is a credit to the industry, and has all the right qualifications for dealing with my unvented cylinder system. He was able to diagnose it quickly and get the hot water running again by replacing the two thermostats. I also have a new Worcester Bosch combi-boiler in another property that he is also qualified to deal with (Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer in fact), so I will definitely be calling upon him again to service that boiler.

Had a new boiler installed. Very pleased with the work carried out. Jamie did an excellent job. He even did few extra bits outside the quote that required mending as part of installation e.g. fixing an unnecessary hole and wires. Very competitive pricing. Courteous and punctual service. He came all prepared and left the place tidy.

Jaime was super efficient. As soon as I rang him to check out my boiler when it failed he made time the same day to assess the problem and soon after a few days he was available to install a new one. It was a days work hence minimal disruption and also good pricing. I look forward to his future servicing of the boiler which he has on his diary.

My boiler broke and I contacted Jamie Brown to see if he could do an emergency replacement. Jamie was absolutely perfect, on time, quick, super clean (the house was cleaner after he left than how it was when he arrived) and gave me and my wife lots of good advice. He even fixed the wall which was supporting the old boiler for free. Could not recommend him more.
