After a long visit to Aussie, on return the boiler tripped out due to flow and a full service and recommission of the boiler solved nothing ........ From the 1st call to Bumfords to arrange the planned date for the flushing to the payment of the power flush of our central heating, nothing was too much trouble especially Matt the guy that spent the best part of the day sorting out issues with the system which had been instigated by some " plumber" from years ago. The boiler is operating as it should, and heating all sorted out and to be honest we will recoup the cost of the flush by saving gas as the boiler is operating only half the time it was before. Although Matt was all over the house he was clean and polite and explained why he was doing certain certain things and showing us the crap that was in the system , even though it had inhibitor in it ? Thanks Bumfords and Matt

Bumford’s came and assessed for the old central heating boiler and water tank to be removed and new combi boiler and radiators to be installed. Alex was excellent in offering a variety of different options we could have, and we agreed for the work to take place. Alex organised everything and kept us informed throughout prior to the works taking place. Matt and Jack were very prompt on the 1st day, and the work they carried out was excellent in both the quality of their work and also the cleanliness of their work in order to minimise disruption to us. Richard then came and completed the electrical work again to a very high standard. We are extremely happy with all the works that Bumfords carried out and the excellent communication we received from the whole Bumfords team. Many thanks.

20 Years Servicing and then a Replacement Boiler

We moved to South Hiendley in 2003 and chose Bumford's to replace a fire-back boiler on the basis of sensible advice plus a competitive quote from a local company. We contracted with them for an annual service and speedy call out when needed. They provided a very good service for twenty years at a very reasonable price. Recently we decided to replace our boiler which had "played up" a number of times over the past year. We again opted for a Worcester Bosch boiler from Bumford's after taking advice from Alex and for a lower quote than others contacted. The work was done to our complete satisfaction over one and a half days by Matt and Jack.

Everyone at Bumfords was efficient and helpful as always. As soon as it was realised the boiler had to be replaced a quote was given and the date established for the fitting of the new boiler. We were kept informed and the new boiler was in place and commissioned within the week. We have used Bumford’s for over ten years and they have always performed well and been outstanding in taking account of the clients needs.

We've just had our old boiler & downstairs toilet replaced by Bumfords & would highly recommend them. From the first call to book an appointment for a quote, to the job being completed we can't praise them enough. All our questions regarding the quote etc were answered promptly & a couple of days prior to the start day we received a text message to say they would be with us at 8.30am. Matt arrived on time & did an excellent job, he was friendly & patiently answered any questions we had, he was very tidy & cleared up before leaving each day, the electrician & plasterer both arrived on schedule too so the whole job was completed in the time they had said it would be, with no delays waiting for different trades to arrive. The new boiler is much quieter then the old one & the radiators seem to get hot a lot quicker than before so overall we're very happy & will definitely use them again for any future work.

We went with Bumfords to install an LPG boiler as part of the installation of a central heating system. We were very happy with the service. All the workman were very pleasant, patient and they seem to have done a good job. Everything seems to be working well 2 weeks in. The price too was slightly cheaper than the other quote we had (from a sole trader). They also did everything they said they would, when they said they would, and kept us informed throughout the process.

First of all I should point out I am a hard to please customer. Robin spec'd up and produced the quote for me, I posted out exact what I expected from the install and was agreed. Phil came to see me prior to the install to ensure everything was prepped and ready for the installation. Each and every aspect of my requests were considered and delivered. Phil and the crew were punctual, polite and showed my home with the respect they would their own home. It had just been decorated and was left in a perfect condition after the work. I have no hesitation in recommending Bumfords to anyone requiring air conditioning and I will be using them as and when I need a new boiler. Just had a new boiler (Worcester) supplied and installed by Bumfords. The price quoted was , I thought, good Matt's team turned up on time (8am) on the scheduled date (29/06), later on in the morning another team turned up to help Matt. They all did an excellent job. The electrician came the next morning to do a wiring mod required for the boiler to run properly. He too did an excellent job. I am very pleased with the work done, the new boiler appears to run a lot quieter than the one it replaced (which was 28 years old). Bumfords is an excellent local (to Barnsley) company. I definitely recommend them to anyone considering using them.

We were very happy with the work Bumfords had done at our previous house in South Yorkshire and wanted them to do the replacement boiler & heating system in our "new" (18th century) house near Matlock. It was a fairly big job (over a week) and not straightforward but Robin took the time to assess the requirement and came up with a very good proposal. The engineers, Phil and Joe, then did a fantastic job to get everything in and up and running with the minimum of disruption. All in all, Bumfords were excellent and we highly recommend them.

Bumford's engineer, Craig, arrived at agreed time and completed whole job in a timely manner. A key factor on this was to do the job without draining down the system (open vent system with h/w cylinder). Did this very efficiently, with no mess at all. Would highly recommend.

My new boiler was fitted yesterday. I have used Bumford Heating to service my boilers for over 20 years. As I needed the boiler replacing I didn’t shop around, I just contacted Bumford. Alex visited my house and discussed which boiler would be suitable. Yesterday morning Phil arrived at 8 am to commence the work. He was very polite and efficient. The work was completed in one day as I was told it could take up to two days. The outside work looks wonderful as I was concerned that it wouldn’t be as neat as it was formally. I should not have worried. I didn’t even have to sweep the drive etc. Both inside and outside were left clean and tidy. I have no hesitation to recommend this company.

New combination boiler required new copper pipe upgrade. This was a bigger job than just installing a boiler. They did a very careful job of installing the new pipe work on the outside of the house taking on board my requests as to how it should look and not stand out too much. They kept to schedule and cleaned up after themselves. They were though beforehand in the discussion around which boiler would best suit us. They were professional and would not shy away from explaining that regulations specified that a larger diameter gas pipe was needed. Other companies did not tell us about this.

I needed to replace my existing oil boiler and Bumfords were local with a good reputation. Robin Bumford came and completed a site survey alone with a very competitive quote. Prior to this Robin returned with the engineer Phil Romans and discussed the installation. On the day of the installation, phil removed and disposed of my old oil boiler and fitted a brand new Worcester Bosch. Only when he fired it up did he find fault with the boiler - this was not his fault but immediately contacted Worcester Bosch and an engineer came and replaced the part free of charge immediately. I would have no hesitation I'm recommending Bumfords heating and both Robin and Phil did and excellent installation at a very competitive price - compared to other local companies.
