Preparations for the plumbing and gas fitting when swapping an old solid fuel AGA for a new gas version. Firstly communications with the office staff were easy and efficient and friendly. The two men carrying out the work were skilled, worked well together and finished the tasks on time and on budget. They were also tidy and left things exactly as the AGA remover and fitters of the new AGA required. I'd be happy to use Bumfords again should a need arise.

We had quite a lot of work done, an old range removed and replaced with an external oil boiler, new radiators and some new piping installed. The initial survey was informative and helpful, with all the options explained, with a final recommendation to have an external combi boiler. Work stated and finished on schedule. The team were pleasant and very efficient and cleaned up afterwards. We are very pleased with the results and would be happy to use them again, and recommend them.

Contacted bumfords regarding a faulty shower. Came out,could not diagnose the problem and did not fix it. Engineer then left after 15 minutes without leaving a quote for a new shower or a quote to fix it. They did kindly send me a bill a few weeks later for £54 call out charge having done nothing. A charge they conveniently forgot to mention when i contacted them. ABSOLUTE DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. Will not be using them again.

Bumfords carried out a full system overhaul for us involving replacing and relocating an oil fired boiler to an external location and replacing the old pressurised hot water tank. As part of the installation they re-worked all the old piping to ensure everything was done to the best possible standard. To add to the complications the work was scheduled during what turned out to be the coldest and snowiest time for a few years - this didn't phase them at all and no corners were cut despite this. A truly great team who take pride in their work.

The Combi Boiler fitters were excellent, affable, efficient, timeous and hoovered up after the job had been executed. We had a couple of snags after the job was completed but Bumfords resolved these little issues very quickly. We have no hesitation in recommending Bumfords to other potential customers. Just had a new boiler and 'Nest' fitted by Bumfords, the service I received from start to finish was really excellent and fast. Matt and his assistant were both friendly polite and efficient, the boiler was installed and fully commissioned in a day and a half and when completed was left very clean and tidy. The price we were quoted was very fair and competitive, and in my opinion you would struggle to find a more professional and competent company! John 26/01/2018

Bumfords have just finished a large project that involved the installation of a multi-fuelled fire that linked up with the oil central heating system. This was a bespoke design that really showed the extensive skills of the whole team. The project from start to finish was professional, friendly, encouraging, very tidy and done with out any fuss at all. They took extra care and time to get the system exactly how we wanted, explained everything and would come back within the same day if I was concerned or wanted to talk about anything. The are an holistic team that did a fantastic job that you would not be able to find anywhere else.

I did find Bumfords very good on the telephone about my problem and get someone to ring me back about it which they did. Then they came out to fix it 36 hours later. A very nice and very helpful engineer who could not do enough to be helpful the part had to be ordered that is why it took 36 hours.

Bumfords have just finished a total overhaul of our heating system and did a fantastic job. The team and the service has been exceptional, right from the planning stages through to the finish. Each of the guys have been brilliant, particularly Phil and Keith but also Graham who stayed late a couple of nights to get stuff done. We would also like to thank Alex Gregory for overseeing the job from start to finish and really listening to what we wanted and needed. The whole team were thorough, methodical and very accommodating considering they had me, the children and the crazy dog to contend with through most of it! They were also been extremely tidy, making sure everything was tidied away at that end of each day and leaving the house in a really good state when they finished. A big thank you to all of them. I would highly recommend them.

This is the second time I have used Bumfords and would highly recommend them-and have done to friends. Alex, the co-ordinator, came when requested and talked through all the options for a replacement boiler without being "pushy". Matt, the plumber, arrived on time and was very methodical, clean and tidy with each stage of the fitting of the new boiler. The paperwork (quote and invoice) was clear & concise.
