Established in 1968, Bumfords Heating Ltd is a family-run business providing expert plumbing, heating and air conditioning services across Barnsley, Sheffield and the surrounding areas. For more than 55 years, we've built our reputation on quality workmanship, honest advice and exceptional customer service.
Our experienced engineers install, service and repair a wide range of systems, including gas, LPG and oil boilers, air conditioning, wet underfloor heating, bathrooms, designer radiators, hot water systems and domestic water filtration. I had my nest installed by Phil from Bumfords, after a couple of electrians failed to get it working, Phil was friendly and polite explaining everything to me. He got the nest up and running and in no time set it all up. I would highly recommend Bumfords heating engineers they were punctual and very efficient.

Having embarked on a substantial renovation project at my home I was confident that I could supplort the key trades in the project. The project included a large front extension (4mx12m) and side extension (5mx4m) and Bumfords supported this project by installing underfloor heating to ground floor, heating to first and second floor and all plumbing to 2 additional bathrooms. The heating plans were organised and sent to me to review in advance and I spoke to a rep from Bumfords to gain more understanding of how they would install the UFH and plumbing. Their staff are professional and polite. The installers fro Bumfords were excellent, often having to work around other trades. They not only did their own work well, but gave me advice on some DIY work i was undertaking and also assisted other tradespeople who were workking on the property when they needed some help. The standard of the work is excellent and I would strongly recommend them.

The work involved adding radiators to an existing system. How to integrate old and new demanded great expertise . The work was skillfully carried out and tidying up and carpets relaid perfectly afterwards-- all within the scheduled two days. The charge was very reasonable . As a bonus a problem with my shower was solved - I only paid for parts. This was first class service.

Preparations for the plumbing and gas fitting when swapping an old solid fuel AGA for a new gas version. Firstly communications with the office staff were easy and efficient and friendly. The two men carrying out the work were skilled, worked well together and finished the tasks on time and on budget. They were also tidy and left things exactly as the AGA remover and fitters of the new AGA required. I'd be happy to use Bumfords again should a need arise.

We had quite a lot of work done, an old range removed and replaced with an external oil boiler, new radiators and some new piping installed. The initial survey was informative and helpful, with all the options explained, with a final recommendation to have an external combi boiler. Work stated and finished on schedule. The team were pleasant and very efficient and cleaned up afterwards. We are very pleased with the results and would be happy to use them again, and recommend them.

Contacted bumfords regarding a faulty shower. Came out,could not diagnose the problem and did not fix it. Engineer then left after 15 minutes without leaving a quote for a new shower or a quote to fix it. They did kindly send me a bill a few weeks later for £54 call out charge having done nothing. A charge they conveniently forgot to mention when i contacted them. ABSOLUTE DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. Will not be using them again.

Bumfords carried out a full system overhaul for us involving replacing and relocating an oil fired boiler to an external location and replacing the old pressurised hot water tank. As part of the installation they re-worked all the old piping to ensure everything was done to the best possible standard. To add to the complications the work was scheduled during what turned out to be the coldest and snowiest time for a few years - this didn't phase them at all and no corners were cut despite this. A truly great team who take pride in their work.

Just had a new boiler and 'Nest' fitted by Bumfords, the service I received from start to finish was really excellent and fast. Matt and his assistant were both friendly polite and efficient, the boiler was installed and fully commissioned in a day and a half and when completed was left very clean and tidy. The price we were quoted was very fair and competitive, and in my opinion you would struggle to find a more professional and competent company! John 26/01/2018
