Leak under extension caused by builders negligence. 2020. 2024 new shower cubicle. 2025 leak from shower waste they did not fit. New kitchen radiator. Never let you down. If urgent they come the same day. If not next day. Always someone manning the phones

The work was done efficiently and to agreed dates and prices. When there was a delay because Worcester Bosch did not have the items required I was offered alternatives to start without delays. I had researched different manufacturers and decided to stay with my first choice so the delay was technically down to my choice. When the work started Bumfords recognised that my disabled son and wife were stressed by the work going on around them so laid on extra resources to minimise disruption and worked around their needs The work was completely quickly and tidily and cools the rooms down quickly even on the hottest day of the year and is more economical than I expected too. I was very pleased with politeness of the installers and the finished installation. I heartily recommend them.

Bumfords recently relocated our boiler, washing machine, and tumble dryer from our kitchen/utility to our garage. They did an absolutely fantastic job to an incredibly high standard. The job required a good deal of new pipework throughout the house, which they completed with the minimum of disruption. The team was very clean and tidy, and pleasant to have in the house. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with the outcome. They also installed a manifold for underfloor heating…they will be returning later in the year to fit this after we have completed some internal renovations. The communication with Robin and the lead engineer (Phil) was also excellent. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

Had an annual gas safety and boiler check done for a new property which unfortunately failed. The Bumfords team rapidly worked through what the best options would be and provided a competitive quote very quickly. Within the week the new energy efficient boiler was installed and the system cleaned and checked. Great team, very professional and superb customer support.

Recently had a replacement boiler installed by Bumfords and the service from start to finish was exceptional. From surveying the job initially, through the installation and instruction at the end they were first class. Phil and Joe did the work and were friendly, helpful and professional throughout. The work they did was very high quality. They are a credit to the company. The next time I need plumbing and/or heating services I will 100% use this company. They are fantastic. Our Condensate pipe had frozen. We did not realise that was the problem as it had not happened to us before and the Bosch Error code said Gas supply issue seek assistance! An emergency engineer came out to us on the coldest night for 4 years, so early in the morning arriving at 7-20 am. It was difficult for him with the icy roads and pavements. He was so helpful and cheerful for that time in the morning. We were so grateful that we were not freezing for the weekend. Excellent service from Bumfords as always.

Great job from Robin, Matt and Jack. We now enjoy a warm house with lots of hot water on this cold dark winter day. I have many contractors on my books but I now put Bumfords up at the top of that list. Your patience and perseverance to get my system working is an absolute credit to you all. We needed a really old gas central heating boiler to be replaced. We knew that certain sections of lead piping would need to be removed, replaced and re-joined to existing gas appliances and that the job was not straightforward. We had a very positive recommendation from one of our neighbours who had employed Bumfords previously. A surveyor visited within 2 days of contact, viewed our existing heating system and discussed our requirements. We received a quote within 48 hrs, which we accepted. Work could not start for 8 weeks (reassuringly busy?) but the guys arrived on the due date and completed the work in the estimated time. The workmen were excellent in their expertise of plumbing, plastering, electricals and stone masonry! Really efficient solutions were found regarding the re-piping and electrical works which meant that virtually no cosmetic damage to the house occurred. At the end of each day, work areas were left clean and tidy. We were given a run-through with help and recommendations on how to operate the system most efficiently. We are happy to recommend Bumfords to others.

We had a new boiler fitted plus a new electric fire instead of our current gas fire. The engineers turned up on time stated each of the three mornings and worked constantly informing us of what they were doing each day. The worked carried out was done professionally and the place left clean and tidy . We were instructed on how to use the boiler, thermostat and fire and all instruction booklets left with us. Throughout the three days both engineers were very friendly going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable whilst they worked. Prior to the work going ahead the assessment visit explained fully what was required and a quote issued along with appointment date made within two weeks. We would certainly recommend this company.

After a long visit to Aussie, on return the boiler tripped out due to flow and a full service and recommission of the boiler solved nothing ........ From the 1st call to Bumfords to arrange the planned date for the flushing to the payment of the power flush of our central heating, nothing was too much trouble especially Matt the guy that spent the best part of the day sorting out issues with the system which had been instigated by some " plumber" from years ago. The boiler is operating as it should, and heating all sorted out and to be honest we will recoup the cost of the flush by saving gas as the boiler is operating only half the time it was before. Although Matt was all over the house he was clean and polite and explained why he was doing certain certain things and showing us the crap that was in the system , even though it had inhibitor in it ? Bumford’s came and assessed for the old central heating boiler and water tank to be removed and new combi boiler and radiators to be installed. Alex was excellent in offering a variety of different options we could have, and we agreed for the work to take place. Alex organised everything and kept us informed throughout prior to the works taking place. Matt and Jack were very prompt on the 1st day, and the work they carried out was excellent in both the quality of their work and also the cleanliness of their work in order to minimise disruption to us. Richard then came and completed the electrical work again to a very high standard. We moved to South Hiendley in 2003 and chose Bumford's to replace a fire-back boiler on the basis of sensible advice plus a competitive quote from a local company. We contracted with them for an annual service and speedy call out when needed. They provided a very good service for twenty years at a very reasonable price. Recently we decided to replace our boiler which had "played up" a number of times over the past year. We again opted for a Worcester Bosch boiler from Bumford's after taking advice from Alex and for a lower quote than others contacted. The work was done to our complete satisfaction over one and a half days by Matt and Jack.

Everyone at Bumfords was efficient and helpful as always. As soon as it was realised the boiler had to be replaced a quote was given and the date established for the fitting of the new boiler. We were kept informed and the new boiler was in place and commissioned within the week. We have used Bumford’s for over ten years and they have always performed well and been outstanding in taking account of the clients needs.

We've just had our old boiler & downstairs toilet replaced by Bumfords & would highly recommend them. From the first call to book an appointment for a quote, to the job being completed we can't praise them enough. All our questions regarding the quote etc were answered promptly & a couple of days prior to the start day we received a text message to say they would be with us at 8.30am. Matt arrived on time & did an excellent job, he was friendly & patiently answered any questions we had, he was very tidy & cleared up before leaving each day, the electrician & plasterer both arrived on schedule too so the whole job was completed in the time they had said it would be, with no delays waiting for different trades to arrive. The new boiler is much quieter then the old one & the radiators seem to get hot a lot quicker than before so overall we're very happy & will definitely use them again for any future work.

We went with Bumfords to install an LPG boiler as part of the installation of a central heating system. We were very happy with the service. All the workman were very pleasant, patient and they seem to have done a good job. Everything seems to be working well 2 weeks in. The price too was slightly cheaper than the other quote we had (from a sole trader). They also did everything they said they would, when they said they would, and kept us informed throughout the process.

We have been a customer of Bumfords for over 15 years now and have always been pleased with the service given. The work done this time was to the same high standard. The guys were super professional. They were here for four days - very old boiler and up a flight of stairs to boot! They were polite, clean and treated my home as if it were theirs. First of all I should point out I am a hard to please customer. Robin spec'd up and produced the quote for me, I posted out exact what I expected from the install and was agreed. Phil came to see me prior to the install to ensure everything was prepped and ready for the installation. Each and every aspect of my requests were considered and delivered. Phil and the crew were punctual, polite and showed my home with the respect they would their own home. It had just been decorated and was left in a perfect condition after the work. I have no hesitation in recommending Bumfords to anyone requiring air conditioning and I will be using them as and when I need a new boiler. If I could give an 11 I would. unfortunately I can't so it's a 10/10 from me. Thank you to Bumfords, and the crew... Use this company with confidence... THANK YOU

Just had a new boiler (Worcester) supplied and installed by Bumfords. The price quoted was , I thought, good Matt's team turned up on time (8am) on the scheduled date (29/06), later on in the morning another team turned up to help Matt. They all did an excellent job. The electrician came the next morning to do a wiring mod required for the boiler to run properly. He too did an excellent job. I am very pleased with the work done, the new boiler appears to run a lot quieter than the one it replaced (which was 28 years old). Bumfords is an excellent local (to Barnsley) company. I definitely recommend them to anyone considering using them.

A quick and competitive quotation by Alex in the office and a difficult hot water tank removal and replacement was achieved by Matt and Jack with first rate workmanship. Utmost care and attention to not damaging home decor was hugely appreciated by my wife. I would recommend this company without reservation.
