We invited Cavan to quote us on repairing two chimneys after seeing his good work on a house a few streets away. We have a 140 year old Victorian house and wanted someone with expert knowledge to repair them properly and sympathetically. Cavan and Nick completed the work over several days and were professional and punctual throughout, even tidying up as they went and kept us informed on progress. We first met Cavan when he was working on a neighbour's property. He has since done a roofing job for our daughter and now for us. We are delighted with the Chimney work carried out by Cavan. This included repointing, replacing mortar caps around the base of pots, fitting ventilation cowls and air bricks on redundant flues and repairing flashings, etc. It has been completed as scheduled. The communication throughout has been prompt. He has been clear about dates and arrival times. He was very pleasant to have around and respectful of our property and that of our neighbours. The work was efficient and tidy. We will recommend him to others and will use him again when we next need work.

I booked Cavan to replace my chimney stack in May and he began work on the pre-arranged date in October. Cavan and his co-worker are excellent time keepers. They’re friendly, polite and hard working. Cavan explained the ongoing work and kept me updated with its progress. They are very tidy workers and disposed of all the rubbish. The quality of the completed work is excellent. They even replaced two broken roof tiles which they found.

Superb. Cavan knows his stuff, is clear in his communication and carries out thorough, high quality work. We had a slipped slate and a blocked gutter downpipe on a large old house with a complicated roof structure. I have used C&M before several years ago. Cavan is very pleasant to do business with so I didn't think twice about contacting him again. On this occasion he first checked the entire roof with a drone and then quickly had a ladder up, cleared the downpipe and replaced the slate. All done within half an hour. I'm very happy with the service and outcome.
