Charles provided a detailed quote with each option we discussed priced up. He sent his engineer Jack and his apprentice to complete the work. They spent 2 days removing and installing a new boiler, removed old tanks and a shower pump. They explained what they were doing when and took the time to explain how the boiler worked at the end. Highly recommend.

Charles and Jack were fantastic. Charles was so helpful on the phone and messages explaining different options in clear simple terms. Charles provided quotes for 3 options which was left with us to decide in our own time unlike some online boiler replacement companies that would keep chasing. When we had decided what we needed Charles was quick to arrange for Jack to attend who was just brilliant. Explained simply what work was going to take place kept us informed as the work was being completed and the quality of install is top notch. The pipe work is so neat and tidy. Everything was explained and demoed once complete and Jack helped make sure all the smart app functions were all working correctly and we understood how to use them before leaving.

We’ve used Charles Bickham plumbing and heating twice since we bought our first home earlier this year. First job was to replace a very old boiler, Charlie came to quote us up, I felt we had all the info we needed to make an informed decision and was super happy they’d travel across to Brighton for the work. Jack came to complete the work, I felt very comfortable working from home while he sorted us out! Super friendly guys, nothing is too much trouble (Jack even fixed the lock on our back gate!) If you’re looking for a professional service, thorough knowledge on the job and a friendly face then I’d definitely recommend Charlie and the team.

Our 13 year old Vissemann boiler started "playing up" right in the middle a very cold spell. Vissemann recommended Charles Bickham. Charles attended very quickly, tried to fix a problem there and then, but the "system" was beyond repair. His sound advice was to change the boiler and update our system. Despite being extremely busy, and because we are OAP's, Charles was able to do a survey, provide an estimate and start the work after only 7 days. His Viessmann trained, central heating engineer is Jack. You will not find a more pleasant and obliging service engineer. Jack fitted the new boiler into our kitchen cupboard. We decided to renew our timer control, room thermostat and regulating valve the same time. The radiators and connecting pipework were given a "power flush" using special chemicals, and this also ensured no debris was left in the system. Our old electrical wiring system presented Jack with a frustrating problem when it came to firing up the boiler. Undeterred, Jack got the boiler working, until such time as their electrical technician was able to attend soon afterwards, detected the wiring issue, and made the necessary changes to get the whole system working perfectly. Thanks to Charles, Jack and Leni the electrician, we now have a renewed, flushed and cleaned, fully functional, and updated central heating system, with new timer control, room thermostat and regulating valve providing us with a warm home and hot water. Highly recommended "5 Star" service!

We asked Charles Bickham Plumbing & Heating to attend to service our twelve year old boiler. Charles himself came and quickly established that the boiler had reached the point where it was not economically viable to repair, and, moreover was in danger of leaking carbon monoxide. He gave us a quote to supply and fit a new Viessmann boiler within a few days. After confirming a date for the following week his installer, Jack arrived (bang on time). Jack spent most of the day on the installation, which involved fitting a new three metre flue extension through the loft. Jack was very efficient, polite and informative and after carrying out a full system power wash to the existing radiators and pipework and ensuring that the boiler and all the radiators were functioning as they should, he left the property completely free of any kind of detritus. I would highly recommend this company.

Wanted to change my whole heating system which was 25 years old. Had several companies in, very simple objective, explain my options, give me a quote and approx time to start. Well, I will not bore you with the details, but only 1 company took the time to explain all options, in basic terms, as have no idea how this all works, and gave me prices as requested. Charles was very professional, and hence we instructed his Company to install a new boiler, a new water heater, all of which were totally different to the original set-up. Charles gave the job to one of his employees named Jack who arrived at the agreed time and worked tirelessly for 3.5 days fitting the new system in. He was a very pleasant and professional fitter, very very tidy and never left any mess. Yes, we had some issues along the way... none were the fault of the team, but the can-do attitude to resolve was very comforting. I now have a fully functioning all up to date heating system in the home, one that Charlie can remotely access the boiler if any issues arise! Who knew such things existed? I would highly recommend this Company to anyone out there looking for this service. The Company is local (a big plus for me) very professional and led by Charles who seems passionate about giving his clients transparency in advice, pricing and expectations.

I needed a new boiler as the one in the house I bought was over 10 years old. I researched several boilers and decided to go with a Viessman. Using the Viessman approved plumbers I found Charles whom I contacted to request some information. Charles responded promptly and visited my home to conduct a site survey which was very thorough and informative. Charles discussed all my options and provided two detailed quotes. Once agreed we agreed the date for the in the installation which was carried out by Jack, one of his plumbers. Jack was so efficient and professional and got the job fully completed in 2 days. Once completed Jack talked me through how to use the app and all its functions which was so helpful. I can't thank Charles and his team enough for their hard work and professionalism. I would highly recommend Charles and his team.

Had existing central heating replaced with a new boiler and radiators. Charlie talked through various options and the advantages and disadvantages of various systems that could be installed in my house. I decided to go for the Viessmann 100-w with weather compensation as advised by Charlie. Charlie was very happy to research and supply upgrades that I requested to deliver a long lasting, energy efficient and reliable set up. 100% completely satisfied with the end result. The installation was carried out with very competent personnel that were happy to explain anything I asked about. I always felt the team had an in-depth and superb knowledge of the system and its implementation and operation. Once the system had been in a while, I was contacted by Charlie to make sure I was happy with the installation and to answer any questions on the operation of the system I had. All my questions were answered and well explained to me. Highly recommended installer and system.
