We have used Chelmsford Plumbing & Heating Ltd on a number of occasions now (changing a tap, servicing a gas boiler and power flushing the central heating system), and in each case we have found them to be first class in every way. Their representatives (both in the office and those carrying out the work) have at all times been most polite, competent and efficient, and we are now asking them to carry out some further non-essential works for us. We would thoroughly recommend this firm.

I needed the existing wiring for a new electric oven and hob installation to be upgraded to meet the latest statutory requirements. The CPH electrician arrived at the agreed time to assess the current wiring arrangements, and based on the power requirements of the new equipment, calculated what was required and took me through it in detail. The price was agreed and the work carried out a few days later. The electrician was totally professional and carried out the work quickly and efficiently and made an excellent job of cleaning up after. The new equipment has been installed by the suppliers electrician who said he was appreciative of the manner of the cabling installation. Overall, this was a first class service that I have come to expect from CPH over many years. This includes two boiler installations, annual servicing and emergency plumbing call out.

I had used CPH previously as they were one of the only companies which supported my Boilermate 2000. So when I discovered on my return to the house after being away the Boilermate had let go in a big way. I contacted CPH and an engineer was there the day after to isolate the Boliermate and review what was needed to replace it. The quote was generated very quickly and explained in great detail. The following week there was attendance on site to remove the old system to then be replaced with the new one. There were two plumbers for two days and an electrician for half a day. The standard of workmanship is to the highest standard with a very neat job carried out. A comment made by the engineer who carried out the work was, "I am only happy with the installation if I would have it in my house". What a great approach to your work. In short, a very impressive service from first contact to completion of work. Well done all at CPH as this is a team effort

We have now used CPH several times now and will continue to use them. We recently had a Worcester Bosch external oil fired boiler installed (August 2021), a family shower unit installed a few years ago. What a pleasure it is to have professional, knowledgeable, tidy, friendly, happy and reliable CPH personnel to come into your home. We decided to have our current gas warm air system replaced with a Johnson and Starley ‘Aquair’ unit, who recommended us to CPH. After meeting with Martyn Clark it was proposed and accepted to have an electric boiler and unvented cylinder installed in the loft to replace our current warm air system. The enquiry and survey stages went smoothly, the office staff were a pleasure to deal with and the quotation was through and accurate. The installation was well planned and navigated, the installation team were very professional and the pipework from ‘Lewis’ is worthy of special mention as being very neat I am very pleased with the system design and performance and would not hesitate to recommend Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating for any of my plumbing and heating needs

We can’t recommend CPH highly enough. An extremely professional outfit in all regards. Having used the company for many years for regular boiler services and general plumbing maintenance we decided it was time to upgrade our boiler. It has just been fitted (along with some other pipework and heating system maintenance) and we are delighted with the workmanship. Nothing was too much trouble for Will who kept us up to speed at every stage of the project and politely answered our (numerous!) questions throughout the day. He provided us with various options along the way such as where to position pipes to ensure we ended up with the most aesthetically pleasing fitting rather than the quickest for him to install. Electrician Rob was also great taking time to run us through the operation of Hive. A big shout out goes to Martyn too who priced up the work and then a couple of days later went above and beyond dashing around to our house when we had an unexpected leak. He drained down the heating system and in doing so helped us avoid significant water damage. The pipe was repaired within a few hours by Rhys who was courteous and professional. I have used Chelmsford Plumbing before for small jobs and been pleased but when it came to a big job like replacing a boiler and tank wasn't sure whether to have my oil supplier or not. Decided to go with my local company and so pleased I did. The whole job, from beginning to end was excellent and i don't say that lightly. Lewis, the installer arrived promptly and straight away was very helpful on any issues i had. He continued to be efficient, polite and very tidy, also knowledgeable in every aspect of the replacement. Rob the electrician was also helpful and polite. I would highly recommend Chelmsford Plumbing for any job, big or small. They are an excellent Company to deal with and I will now have them for every annual service of the boiler. Following Steve’s visit we received a quote a couple of days later. Steve himself was friendly professional and personable. We also had further quotes from different companies but went with CH&P. Four weeks later Will and Harrison arrived bright and early to carry out the works. We needed a new boiler, 2 new radiators fitted, valves and pump plus a new expansion tank . Both Will and Harrison were very friendly, professional and polite. They dismantled the old boiler from the kitchen which was no easy job and then took floorboards up in the lounge and dining room for the new pipe work as our new boiler was being fitted in an understairs cupboard. Mess was kept to a minimum. There was a possibility that our Amtico floor may have to be removed but fortunately Will managed to connect the pipes without this happening. Both radiators were fitted and the works were completed in 2 days. Both lads worked very hard and barely stopped. Highly recommend this company .

Removed old shower and installed new one. On time and on budget. Careful clean job using covid rules. Shower is excellent and works perfectly. Very pleased indeed.

I was so pleased with the work done by this company, the men were all so pleasant and helpful and did such an excellent job so clean and tidy very little mess at all and job completed in 2 days to my complete satisfaction, and they went the extra mile by adding finishing touches where necessary. The initial approach for this job was prompt, the work required was assessed and a price provided within 1 day. They were able to offer an early date which we accepted. We are very satisfied with the Powerflush and heating works carried out by Lewis. He completed the work within the specified 2 days and was very professional, clean and tidy with all aspects of the contract. A credit to the business.

Recently, we have installed an unvented cylinder. It was a very smooth and a painless experience. At the beginning, Martyn advised and quoted. Martyn is very knowledgeable and we felt that he took enough interest to do the job. Rhys carried out the job of the installation. He has done the job very effectively and neatly. He even came after completion of the work to fix a door of an access with a big smile! In addition of these technical works, Amy(Administrator), who amazingly had managed all communication and paper works so effectively. A big Thank You to the team.

Very impressive service - quote was quickly organised and professionally done (which included advising that some work did not need to be done) and the work was undertaking quickly, efficiently and punctually. Work area left very clear and the plumber was very professional. Highly recommended!

All new system fitted, which included: Worcester Bosch Boiler, pressurised hot water tank & expansion vessels; 14 new radiators, towel rail and a complete Evohome system. The Team (Lewis, Harrison & Rob) were brilliant, efficient, highly skilled, friendly and polite. They completed the job on schedule in 5 days and even managed to ensure we had hot water (via immersion heater) every night Everything was cleaned up tidied away each night and the team had real pride in their work. This is the second time I have used CHP, previously they installed a new system in my elderly Father in Laws bungalow. I have no absolutely no hesitation in recommending CHP.

The 2 operatives arrived exactly at 8.00 am and completed the installation at 4.00 pm as programmed. The access to the existing pipework was very restricted, however they found a solution which meant them working safely within a small but confined and uncomfortable space. This they did with a well mannered attitude, being efficient, tidy and professional throughout. An excellent job, all carried out to a high standard and as scheduled in their quotation and I won't hesitate in recommending them for future work.

Great work from the guys at CPH today removing old and installing new boiler. They arrived promptly at 8am and it was all done by 4pm. A thoroughly professional job and they cleaned up behind themselves, too. I have used CPH in the past as well as on this occasion and will do so again. Happy to recommend to others.

These guys and girls were amazing. My mothers boiler broke and we thought it would require replacing. Following a call explaining the situation an engineer arrived the same day to check the boiler and agreed it needed to be replaced. Within 3 days the new boiler was installed and up and running. My mum is 84 and sadly panics about everything but she was very happy with what was done, the installation is neat and tidy and the engineer explained the new system to her very well, believe me that's not easy when you're dealing with a confused 84 year old. I can't thank the team enough, the ladies in the office and the guys I spoke to and dealt with were all excellent and I can't recommend them enough. Thank you very very much

We have used CPH for a number of years for regular gas boiler servicing, always efficient and pleasant to deal with. When the time came to replace the old leaking boiler we had no hesitation in asking CPH to do the work. Martyn came round promptly and discussed with us all our options taking into account our old idiosyncratic house. The 3 day installation was arranged very quickly and the two installers, Rhys and Harrison plus electrician Rob were a delight to have in the house, very professional, with a great customer focused attitude. Every care was taken to ensure no mess, and the job which included removing old water tanks from the loft and fitting the new boiler in a different position was completed very efficiently.

The work was done entirely to my satisfaction. The workman was extremely tidy and efficient using dust sheets and vacuumed all area’s on completion. Very satisfied.

We had a very old conventional boiler taken out of the kitchen and a new combi boiler installed in the garage, not a straightforward job. Lewis and Sam worked incredibly hard, removing the old boiler, together with the hot and cold water tanks and finished the job in three days. The power flush cleaned out all the sludge in the system, and we can't believe the difference, especially the water pressure in the shower. They cleared away all the rubbish and did a brilliant job. Highly recommended.

I was giving a quote for three options for a new boiler (external floor standing, external wall hung and external combi boiler), all quotes included removing the internal boiler and reparations. Plus an additional quote for 5 new rads + valves) All people carrying out the work (Lewis and Sam, plus electrician Rob and commissioning engineer Daryl) worked very hard and long days and everywhere was left clean and tidy when they left. I was consulted whenever a decision needed to be made and everything was carried out to a very high standard. The final invoice was as quoted and the works were also all complete within the stated time. Highly recommend.

Russell turned up today during the expected time slot - he’s researched the error code provided the day before when I booked and arrived with a spare part that helped get boiler working. Much appreciated by the Creak family who now have a working boiler again. 🙂
