We have used Chris a number of times now having seen the many positive reviews on this website and have never been disappointed. Chris is very reliable, trustworthy (he decorated several rooms while we went away on holiday), very clean, tidy and is an excellent decorator. He takes a lot of pride and trouble over his work which results in a high quality finish. As an example of his attention to detail we had our staircase refurbished in oak but couldn’t find prefinished internal doors that we liked and that matched the staircase finish. Chris took away a sample of the oak veneer and was able to find a varnish that produced a very good match. We then purchased unfinished doors which Chris decorated. We were delighted with the result. If you are looking for a decorator you should definitely consider Chris Roach.

Chris arranged the redecoration of our downstairs and upstairs hallway and stairwell (preparing walls and woodwork, lining paper, painting). Both he and Sorin, who carried out the work, were a pleasure to deal with, great communication throughout the process, lots of good suggestions to improve the finish and very reliable. Everything was completed on time and on budget. They were punctual, tidy, unobtrusive and respectful. The quality of the work definitely exceeded my expectations and I would be very confident to recommend them.

I called Chris, my trusty decorator, to rectify water damage in my hallway. This involved cutting back part of a lath and plaster ceiling and replacing it with plasterboard and plastering over to make the joins seamless. Additionally part of a plasterboard wall, coving and a few drops of water damaged wallpaper needed replacing. All this repair work has been done perfectly and totally seamlessly and no one would know there had ever been any damage. Before work started Chris protected the existing non damaged wallpaper with wall protector attached to coving and the carpet with dust sheets and a carpet protector. Chris is so careful and pays attention to detail you can relax knowing nothing else will be damaged or marked in the process. He is very organised and exceptionally clean and tidy. He is a thoroughly nice guy and an amazing decorator - the best. I really cannot recommend him highly enough. Sue Moody Pinner

He, and his colleagues, have completely transformed a tired and aging kitchen into something that is light and modern, whilst still fitting in to our 1930’s house. I found Chris Roach after reading the very favourable recommendations left on this website and having benefited hugely from those reviews, am now only too pleased to leave my own review following excellent service received. I contacted Chris after another tradesman had let us down; in essence, Chris had to salvage a bit of a mess for us and to short order. Chris’ communications were excellent, he turned up on time and when he said he would, proved himself to be an outstanding decorator, hard-working, conscientious and, above all, his services were to the highest order. We are delighted to have found such an excellent tradesman, top class.

Chris dealt with one wall of my house that had suffered from penetrating damp when rain leaked through window frames where the seal had broken. He replastered and painted the interior of the wall, and then fixed the cracks and repainted the exterior of the wall, ensuring that the window frames were weatherproof. I am so pleased with the result. Everything was done to a very high standard, and the disruption was minimal. Chris and his workers left everything clean and tidy. Without exception they were all so pleasant and I really recommend this company.

Chris did a delicate job on repairing and repainting our ceiling. Chris was very diligent in his preparation and work. A very pleasant person who communicates well and is obviously very proud of his work. He also is punctual and delivers on his words. Would I recommend him? Yes, yes and yes again! The guy is a star!

One wall in my living room needed replastering after penetrating damp from a broken window frame. Chris gave me good advice and a sensible quote, and that, combined with reviews, helped me make my decision. I am very glad. The plastering was done quickly, to a very high standard, and without any mess. Then the wall was repainted, again without unnecessary disturbance and the room was left tidy afterwards. I am very happy with the result and I am going to ask Chris to repaint the external wall for added peace of mind. I am confident he will do a good job. He is very helpful and pleasant to deal with, and I recommend him.

I have used Chris to decorate my house for approximately 6 years. I am fussy and particular about the standard and quality of work undertaken in my house and Chris always does an outstanding job - I have also recommended him to several of my friends who are equally impressed. He is extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble for him. He is a lovely and trustworthy guy and I have no hesitation leaving him alone in my house whilst I am out. He is a lucky find and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

We have used Chris before and found his work excellent so asked him back to organise the redecoration of 5 rooms and our wooden staircase. The job was done to a very high specification and we are very pleased with the excellent results. The decorator was helpful in making suggestions and pointing out any issues along the way. Any extras were always discussed and agreed beforehand and there were no hidden costs. The house was always left tidy. The perfect job!

We asked Chris back to decorate our TV room after the excellent job he did to our Hall, Stairs and Landing. Once again his work was excellent and cannot express how pleased we are with the superb finish. He is an excellent workman, always on time, attention to detail is second to none. Cannot recommend him highly enough.

Chris has worked with us now over a number of years. What stands out is how he takes care of your property whilst working with you ensuring floors etc are protected. He is meticulous from start to finish. His preparation is exceptional, this particular job required extensive preparation washing down and stripping back of multiple kitchen components before the multiple treatments were applied to the maple. The finish on the renovated kitchen units is exquisite and well worth the time. The balance of the kitchen and large attached dayroom was also given the same careful decorate. Chris knows his trade and is well informed on current products and those best applied on your particular project. He provides written estimates detailing exactly the scope of the works and invoices you accordingly. He is very considerate of the running of your family home and adapts his work routines accordingly. Chris is our decorator of choice and we would highly recommend him.

We have used Chris for our decorating needs for over 20 years now. He has always done a fantastic job for us. This time, Chris repainted the ceiling after a leak in the bathroom above had badly stained it, painted the kitchen walls which are now as good as the day the kitchen was fitted, painted the bathroom ceiling and finally added a feature wall to the bedroom. The feature wall looks fantastic and he made hanging a tricky beaded wallpaper look easy! The house is always left clean and tidy and he even knows to make sure our indoor cat doesn't get out ! We would highly recommend Chris, he's fantastic.

Chris has spent the past 10 months with us and we couldn’t be more pleased with how our home is looking. He has repainted all the rooms in the existing house, filling cracks and making repairs along the way to make each room as good as new and then decorated the new extension. Chris was recommended to me by a friend who couldn’t speak more highly of him. I can see why. Chris has done a couple of small painting jobs for me, before totally redecorating my bedroom and back room. Obviously, having my bedroom ‘out of action’ was going to be disruptive, but Chris was willing to do whatever was necessary to minimise this, to the point of putting up my sofa bed in the back room. He is meticulous in the detail and the neatest of decorators I have come across. Always tidying up before leaving each evening. The standard of his work could’t be bettered. Paintwork and Wall papering fantastic. It so reassuring to know that I have found a brillant, honest decorator like Chris who you wouldn’t hesitate to leave alone in the flat whilst you pop out. He goes above and beyond what you would expect him to do. (He even put up blackout screens on my bedroom window as I’m waiting for curtains to be made). What a find Chris is.

We employed Chris to redecorate our hall, stairs and landing which were in rather a poor state. From stripping off the old paint encrusted anaglypta wallpaper right through to the re-painting of the walls and woodwork Chris did a great job. We are very pleased with the resulting transformation.

We were lucky enough to secure Chris' time to decorate our little Son's bedroom in September. The bedroom really needed it and had a lot of water damage and defects and so we were really looking forward to Chris decorating for us and making the room look new again. We were not disappointed! Chris did an amazing job! We were, and still, are absolutely delighted with the finish of our Son's bedroom. Chris is brilliant at what he does and his attention to detail is second to none. He is a true craftsman. We never want to use the services of another decorator again - we only want Chris to decorate the rest of our house! Chris is polite , friendly , professional and a pleasure to have in your home and he makes the whole decorating process stress free. Thank you Chris !

The fifth job Chris has now done for us, all to the same superb standard. We appreciate Chris's professionalism and were very reassured by his attention to Covid restrictions while working in our house. Having stripped the old embossed wallpaper and arranged for an excellent plasterer to re-skim the ceiling, Chris has created beautifully smooth painted walls and ceiling. The painting of the woodwork is also second to none. Chris took great care to protect the oak floor and a sofa that could not be removed from the room, leaving the room immaculately clean at the end of the job. Chris is an excellent decorator who we would highly recommend.

Chris wallpapered a fireplace and feature wall for us. Excellent workmanship, professional attitude throughout, especially important working with COVID restrictions. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

This is the second job Chris has undertaken for me. This time it was my lounge, in time for Christmas. Fantastic transformation! Chris is totally reliable, always happy to discuss ideas. He puts such care and attention into a job, my walls were not in the best condition, they look amazing now. Will be using Chris again in the New year. Highly recommend him.

Chris decorated my lounge and bedroom, both painting and papering, he did a fantastic job, the finish is really good. Even now I look at the painting which Chris did with a roller and wonder how he is able to achieve a flat finish with none of the usual stipple and roller effect. In relation to time keeping and tidiness, there were no issues with either, Chris arrived as agreed and left everything clean and tidy at the end of the day. I thoroughly recommend Chris and would definitely use him in the future.

The recent painting of my kitchen and lounge was conducted in a very thorough and professional manner by Chris's painters. The work was conducted to a very high standard on schedule and at the pre-agreed price. Chris was very helpful and easy to communicate with and I have no doubt in recommending his company to anyone considering future house painting.

His third job for us, Chris has done a fantastic job on our dining room. The paint finish is superb with beautiful crisp straight edges, and his attention to detail is top notch once again - even 'dressing' the screws in the doorplate and sockets! We look forward to his return next month to work his magic on our kitchen...

Trustworthy....reliable and works to a very high standard. A perfectionist. I am very happy with the work done by Chris and would recommend and use again. My house has never looked so good.
