Matt was recommended to us by friends who had previously used his services and I was thoroughly impressed. Matt was professional, punctual and communicated superbly with us throughout. The work was completed to a very high standard and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again for future work.

This is the second time we've had Matt out, and we couldn't be happier! We wouldn't go with anyone else; he is the best!! He replaced a broken socket, raised 2 sockets that were inaccessible behind some drawers, fixed a dodgy light switch, and replaced a light fitting. Matt is punctual, pleasant, respectful, courteous, trustworthy, explains everything and checks you are happy with the proposed work before doing it. He works non-stop and is exceptionally clean and tidy. His communication is spot-on as well. We wish all tradespeople were like Matt!!

I had not used Matt previously, he was recommended by a relative. I could not have found a better electrician. Matt's communications have been excellent throughout this process. From first contacting Matt he was very professional ,arranging to come and visit me to assess the work to be carried out. Matt was very informative about what needed to be done and I straight away felt confident that I had chosen the right man for the job. The work was carried out over 2 days and Matt kept me informed at every step, advising me of any potential snags. I did need to make 1 change to the original schedule of work to be done, Matt was able to accommodate my request without a problem. The quality of work carried out is exceptional, Matt took pride in the finished cosmetics of the job. I have some electrical knowledge and Matt was able to share some of the checks and tests information with me. I would not hesitate to recommend Matt to somebody else. Had an amazing experience with booking and communications with Matt. He came to fit new plug sockets and light switches, which look and work amazingly. He also sorted my fuse box to ensure it was safe and working properly. I am really happy with the work completed and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

We have had Cole’s a couple of times now and yesterday he put in an extra kitchen socket ( we had an issue after using an extension lead for our fridge freezer-it was bad enough when it blew but could have been worse- therefore decided to have a socket so we don’t have to use extension) The work was completed in an extremely professional but in a personable way, left the area clean and tidy! Totally respected my property. Over the moon with work completed. He checked everything was working properly and received certificate of work completed next morning! Cannot recommend more highly! We booked Matt in to change some electrics during a living room revamp. He arrived when he said he would and worked hard all day for 3.5 days. He cleaned up after himself, made good any holes made to run cables through the wall, and ran through options with us when needed. He is friendly, approachable, and trustworthy. We would definitely have him do more work in our home when we need it next. Very happy with the work that was done and the quote reflected his efficiency, expertise the attention to detail. Based on previous reviews and Which? trusted status I approached Matt for a quote for a Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), safety test and inspection of the existing electrical installation prior to a kitchen refurbishment. The quote was provided promptly and I replied with a polite and genuine query. He quickly turned down the job stating that my query suggested I didn't think it is worth that price/rate. One star for mind reading :)

We needed our electrics board replaced and updated and Matt did an excellent job with this. He tracked down any faults on our circuit and fixed them too, no problem. Very low hassle, low stress man to employ, was always calm focused and hard working. He even got the job done a day earlier than expected and knocked some money off the originally quoted amount because of this speed! Brilliant electrician, will use him again for all our electrical needs.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Matt for an EICR inspection and subsequent repairs. From start to finish, he was extremely professional, reliable and punctual. We've used Matt's services a few times already, and have always been really happy with the work done. The latest job he did for us was done over a period of 4 days: installation of a new fuse board, installation of down lights and a new connection for an induction hob. He thoroughly explains the work to be done, both in person and on the budgets he sends through. Any certificates that are needed are always sent through after completion of work. He is always courteous and on time, and doesn't leave any tidying up to do after doing his jobs. 100% recommend his services as he's a very conscientious electrician.

I initially hired Matt for an inspection, which revealed that lights, sockets and the consumer unit needed replacing. I engaged Matt to carry out those works and also install a new electric oven and hob. Matt's quote was clear and explained the work to be done and he quickly answered the couple of queries that I had. He continued to communicate well and confirmed the dates for the work near the time. The actual work was carried out to schedule and the resulting installation was neat and tidy. The work areas were all cleaned up and the house left in a good state. Throughout Matt was pleasant to deal with and informative about the work being done, producing a painless overall experience.

Matt recently undertook a partial re-wire of our property. The work involved an investigation of the existing wiring circuits, and installation of new wiring. From the first meeting Matt was pleasant, helpful and professional, and is the only trader we have so far met that showed ID on arrival, and one of the few to put on over shoes when entering the house to prevent tracking dirt. Communication was one of the best we have had with a trader. From the initial enquiry we made, arranging a visit to asses the job, receiving a quote and getting a date booked, all messages and questions we had were answered promptly. Additionally Matt was very accommodating when we had to move the start date of the work due to delays with other work we having done. He also was flexible with some of the changes/additions we requested from our initial plan. With regards to the actual work. Matt was always punctual, and did a full days work (sometimes more). Something that other traders we have used don't always do. He kept us advised on what his plan was for the day, and would clean-up at the end of each day. Where required he suggested alternatives/improvements to some of the tings we had asked for. All work was done to a high standard, was completed to the estimated schedule, and was to the agreed budget/quote + the additional work we asked for. We cannot recommend Coles Electrics highly enough.

Matt carried out a comprehensive inspection and the subsequent remedial work and installed a new fuse box. All done to a high standard on time and to budget. Matt attended the property to complete an array of minor remedial works following an earlier EICR, which Matt also completed. Matt was at the property for almost three days completing the works, which included investigations into earthing problems in the kitchen and downstairs generally; the moving and installation of spotlights; installation of new ceiling lights; changing socket covers; and adding external conduit bonding between all major supply points at the property. All of the work was carried out to the highest quality and efficiently; Matt also spoke to my partner and I at each point to provide updates on what he was doing and why he was doing that particular piece of work, which provided us with great peace of mind. Matt was very polite, left the house in an immaculate condition, and was also very understanding with our nervous pet. My partner and I also found Matt to be very reasonably priced, especially for the variety of work carried out and the time spent at the property. I would highly recommend Matt for any electrical work.

Matt was able to help us with a variety of jobs, including fixing a ceiling light fixture, installing a remote controlled set of outdoor garden lights and sorting power etc for them, and putting in a new upstairs double socket for a server. Communication was clear, pricing was fair, and work was completed to an extremely high standard. Very friendly, and was happy to give us advice on other issues we were facing as well, just a genuinely nice guy who is very good at his job, and we are very glad to have found him and will definitely be using again for any electric rated jobs. Matt had previously undertaken several pieces of work for us, all done on time to the highest standard. On this occasion, we asked him to replace an existing distribution board in the garage / annex which also provided power to outbuildings and remove a defective external light above the front door before installing a replacement. Both jobs were completed as agreed, on time and the dates/times agreed. Matt arrived promptly on both days and undertook the work to his usual very high standard. Extremely pleased with finished work. Matt is an excellent electrician, respects the property where he is working, always clears up after he has completed and is a really nice chap. Would have no hesitation whatsoever in asking him to undertake any further electrical work we need and similarly would recommend him immediately to anyone looking for a reliable, quality tradesperson who specialises in all aspects of electrical works.

Matt undertook several pieces of work for us over a three-week period. This consisted of an initial safety assessment of the house electrics, followed by installation of new supply cabling and sockets to external buildings, addressing the numerous issues identified during the safety check and installing a new main fuseboard in the house. All work was detailed in clear quotations and fully explained by Matt in person prior to initiation. Matt kept us fully informed of what he doing throughout, always arrived when he said he would, cleared up afterwards and carried out the work with the minimum of fuss and disruption. Matt's work is of an extremely high standard and highlighted to us the difference between a quality electrician and some of the other electricians who have worked for us in the past. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Matt. In addition to being an excellent electrician, he is a really nice person who was a pleasure to have working for us. I have recently had an outdoor socket, decking recessed lighting and an outdoor light fitted by Matt. The work carried out was excellent and carried out to an exceptional standard. Matthew Cole (Coles Electrics) carried out a partial rewire of kitchen and outbuilding, replaced my old consumer board with an updated Consumer Board (18th edition) ,supplied a small bathroom heater/kitchen light and tested all of my electrics in the house for my peace of mind, along with some small electrical jobs around the house. The work was carried out to the agreed schedule and on budget. I have no hesitation in recommending Matthew Cole, he carried out the work with professionalism, to a very high standard and his work ethic was one hundred percent. He was courteous, explained everything that he was doing in a way that was easy to understand, totally punctual and left the house tidy at the end of each day, before he left each day he always double checked everything to make sure all was well. He promptly sent me all the necessary paperwork, certificates etc. setting out all details of the work.
