The Postill family firm first worked for my family 52 years ago. Since then Derek Postill and his team have worked on five successive houses for us on a huge variety of different projects including roofing and roof conversions, building extensions, fitting bathrooms and kitchens, replastering, tiling, carpentry, electrics, fencing, paving and work on subsidence. We have always been more than satisfied with the results. At the beginning of a project Derek always explains clearly about the work involved and gives us a fair price. During the work he is always available to discuss progress. To. We have never known him to leave a job half-finished to go off and work on another project. He is pleasant and considerate to work with. He and his team are punctual and reliable and always put in a good day’s work. Over the years we have recommended Derek to many people and they have all been very satisfied with his work. I cannot imagine ever wanting to employ anyone other than Derek!

I own a studio flat in Kennington and for years we had a hoarder living there. When he left the place was devastated. Everything was trashed and the place smelt to high heaven. A total renovation was the only answer. I was so lucky to find Derek on the Which Trusted Traders website. In fact, I cannot believe my luck that Derek was free. He came and visited the studio with me. He advised me on everything. He carried out a complete house clearance, he designed a new layout -making the small studio seem larger. He fitted all new equipment for the kitchen and bathroom and totally renovated the whole apartment: new floors, new lighting, radiators, the lot. At one point he found the plaster on the walls of this Victorian studio crumbling but did no work on that until he called me in, showed me, and got my agreement to re-plaster the walls. His work was faultless and of a very high standard. He was great to work with, has a lovely personality - very cooperative and helpful to me. I cannot praise the quality of his work highly enough. His prices were reasonable and I could trust him. I have now been able to hand the studio over to estate agents who have had no trouble letting it.

Absolutely brilliant service from Derek and his team. They re-plastered the hallway and stairway, fitted new lights, and completely replaced the kitchen. No alteration was too much trouble and they discussed all the options thoroughly with me to ensure we got the best solution, and the best price. Nothing in the house is built to a straight line either, but they adapted to that and you can't tell from the finished work. I would recommend them to everyone without hesitation.
