We needed to have our 1930s roof replaced after numerous small leaks and repairs. From start to finish of the job, we were impressed by the team. They assessed the roof and gave a clear quotation, with options such as new insulation and loft boarding clearly costed. The team was professional at all times. We were given daily updates, supported by photos of everything that was being done. Work was done to a fantastic standard, within the timeframe and to budget. Highly recommend.

My review has been delayed 4 months as, shortly after work completion + Christmas, I had major shoulder surgery and am only now recovering sufficiently to attend to this important matter! I had my house re-roofed to replace 40 year old artificial slates with natural slate along with lead-work, upgrading of insulation and replacement of guttering and fascias. I contacted other companies but was so impressed by the owner Sean's professional knowledge, friendliness and the time he devoted to explaining everything I knew Daniels Roofing would be best. Also, if it hadn't been for the time and information Sean and the site manager, Vernon, gave my neighbour we would not have overcome his objections to my project. In fact they went beyond the call of duty to be helpful towards him. I considered the price quoted fair as I chose very best quality Spanish slate. Everything was completed within timescale including cleaning up and removing rubbish. Some friends said, "Oh, you'll have scaffolding left up for months" - in fact it was taken down the same day work officially ended! The finished result is beautiful and I greatly appreciate the time, skill and craftsmanship each one of the team contributed. They are all such nice, friendly guys. I certainly highly recommend Daniels Roofing and tell my friends the same.

Have had to use roofers over the year and it can be a bit hit and miss, even with Which? recommended ones. However, Daniels Roofing are a complete exception. We got a prompt survey from Sean, a clearly detailed quotation and a fixed date for the work. The team led by Vernon arrived when expected and carried out the work on time. This was by no means the biggest of jobs they would normally do, removing loose pointing to the gable and repointing missing pointing to all areas, but they were friendly, polite and efficient. They cleaned up afterwards and took all the rubbish away. We would certainly use Daniels Roofing again and would thoroughly recommend them

Sean checked out our roof and wrote a report. Before that Vernon from the same company explained everything to us in detail. Daniels Roofing was recommended to us by our neighbour and they definitely lived up to their recommendation. Helpful, pleasant, informative, trustworthy and reasonable.

Very efficient and hard working team carried out the removal of old felt and all rotten decking and then installed all new materials. I have used Daniels roofing for over 6 years now and Sean, Vernon and the team are excellent. I have had them out in the past to fix a leaky roof, sort out my skylights, fix caps on my chimney and very recently asked them to fit a waterproof pergola roof onto a wooden frame, which is not a standard request. On this occasion i wasn't sure even how it would work, but Sean talked me through all the options first and explained everything in detail. We have been using Daniels roofing for many years. Sean, Vernon and the Team are experts in their field and they will come to your assistance when needed. Over the years we have had new soffits, guttering, lead work and leaks fixed with excellent quality and service; and perhaps more importantly a warranty for their work that is honoured. We recently had solar panels fitted and this changed something on our roof and resulted in a leak. This could of ended up with a blame game between the solar company and Daniels Roofing. Daniels roofing did not even fit the roof, they just fitted some guttering and drip trays but they went above and beyond to help solve the issue for us. Sean worked expertly and patiently with the solar team to problem solve and worked collaboratively to fix the problem. I contacted this company to obtain a quote. It took over a week to get any kind of response and when they did, they pushed my quote appointment out by 2 weeks! I waited the 2 weeks and Sean turned up 30 mins early. He called me and said he wants to see me early. I said I couldn’t accommodate him early and he’d have to wait for our agreed time (like a profesional would gladly do) and Sean retaliated immediately by saying he’d rebook me. Very unprofessional customer service attitude. Glad I dodged a bullet and I’ll be going with a different company!

Review From my initial phone conversation with the owner Sean of Daniels Roofing to the completed job there was nothing but professionalism, friendliness and expert craftsmanship. The valleys in my roof no longer leak and they look lovely. Vernon and the team also rectified a couple of cracks in the zinc lining over one of the bay windows, averting potential problems in the future. Contacted Daniels Roofing to discuss failing slate tiles, leadwork and timbers. They were the only company we spoke to who suggested an extensive package of repairs rather than full replacement so we went this option as it suited us better and allowed us to retain the look and feel of the roof and most of the original slates. Work was carried on time, to budget and with good attention to detail; they even completed a few little things that weren't listed on the schedule of work. Friendly approachable staff and good after care and admin support. Would not hesitate to recommend this company for any roofing work - particularly small domestic jobs.

We contracted Daniels Roofing to completely retile the roof of our house plus all lead work. The main roof consisting of all ridge tiles, four gables and valleys. A hipped garage to the front and a hipped gable end to the back and finally a hipped entrance porch. All lined battened and vented throughout using approximately 20000 tiles. All lead work carried out with the upmost care and attention to detail by Sean Daniels. Sean and his team have provided us with some outstanding work for which we are delighted.

I chose Daniels Roofing for the roof work and loft insulation after much research, because they gave a very detailed quote at a competitive cost. Sean Daniels, the owner, came to my home several times to answer my questions before I accepted his quote. In addition, he answered questions by email and phone. Work was done on the main roof, main chimney, bathroom extractor tile vent, rear lower roof, garage roof, front facia/soffit and gable façade, as well as insulation of the loft. A scaffold tower was erected a few days before the work commenced, at the front of the house, to allow access to the gable soffit and gable façade. This also enabled access to the loft area without entering the house which was a good idea. New tile vents were fitted to the front and back of the main roof to prevent condensation. Sean, Vernon Hines (the foreman), and the team arrived on Tuesday morning, to give a final run-through of the work and to deliver supplies. The work began in earnest on Wednesday May 24th and was finished on Wednesday May 31st. On the final day, Vernon sat with me to discuss the work, and ensure that everything had been done to my satisfaction. All the work has been guaranteed for ten years. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Vernon and his team arrived on time every day, worked very hard, and were very polite. I interacted with Vernon and his team throughout the duration of the work. I could see they were proud of the work they were undertaking.

I needed some repairs on my roof - slipped tiles, mortar around roof window crumbling, aerial removal, boiler exhaust and overflow piping secured. I had two traders take a look and quote. Daniels was more expensive. Reason I chose them was that I received useful advice, without attempts to upsell to more expensive options (e.g., like replacing the roof window). They arrived on time, did the work quickly, and billed me the previously agreed amount. I'm not an expert, but the work looks good. They also sent me warranties for the work done. I'd use them again.

Daniels Roofing may be as good as the reviews here suggest. That's why we hired them to replace 3 roofs on an old Victorian house, starting with the small kitchen roof. Initial contact in late October 2021 was excellent, the job was scheduled for 7 February. After cancelling on me two times and after much chasing after their scheduler, work finally scheduled for 4 July. Yesterday they cancelled and rescheduled again, without consulting me, for 19 September. We chose Daniels Roofing because we had great confidence in Mr. Sean Daniels and the quality of work and materials he promised. We believed they would deliver and we waited patiently. But we no longer have confidence that any date will be honoured and must start the process of securing a roofer again, now 8 months on from when we began. I suspect that this is not Daniels' normal business practice, but we have been treated very poorly.

I had repair work done on my slate roof, a chimney repaired with new lead works and repointing to a gable and chimney, a garage reroofed and TLX silver fixed to my loft area. I am entirely satisfied with the quality of the work. The team were polite, friendly and professional at all times. They are clearly skilled and they take pride and care in the work they do. The jobs were competitively priced and I highly recommend them.

We had a flat roof and all main roof guttering replaced a while back and more recently new soffits fitted by Daniels Roofing. The team, led by Vernon, were friendly, polite, tidy and efficient. We did have a few small issues with the new guttering after completion but Vernon responded quickly every time to rectify the problem. We found their pricing very fair compared to their competitors and the ten year guarantee is good to have. Overall a good experience with a company that provides a quality job at a fair price and which responds to its customers quickly.

All companies, and not just roofing companies, should aspire to the standard offered by Daniels Roofing. Friendly, polite, prompt, efficient and skilled workers. They did a temporary repair to the flat roof of our loft extension, damaged in the recent storms, and completed the work sooner than expected. I thought the estimate was good value and the final bill was even less. I watched these roofers re-roof a house opposite a few years ago and it looks as good as new today. We are delighted with the recent work carried out by Daniels Roofing. The storm had damaged the roof tiling. They were quick to respond to my enquiry and gave a quote promptly. The team replaced the damaged ridge tiles, checked/treated the battens and secured other tiles. They also cleared all the guttering. The roofing work was conducted efficiently and I believe to a high quality. Recommended!

Secured all missing and damaged tiles, and replaced them with matching tiles. Flat roof defects repaired and all debris removed and roof sealed with fibre gum. Arrived on time. work completed by 5 persons in under 2 hours. All areas access cleaned and site left in perfect condition.
