We would like to introduce you to Dee Cee Upholstery and Interior’s World of Comfort.
Established in 1978, we are one of the South’s leading experts in Upholstery and Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs.
Partner in Dee Cee Upholstery, Derek Caplen, became the youngest master Upholsterer in the UK at the tender age of 21, and by the age of 43 he had become the youngest Fellow of the Association of Master Upholsterers for his outstanding contribution in training young people, and dedication to the A.M.U. and Soft Furnishers.
As suppliers of award winning, quality Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs, we are acknowledged experts, recommended by occupational therapists, physiotherapists and healthcare professionals, and are approved specialist suppliers to local councils and the NHS.

The seat cushions on my bed settee were getting tired and needed to be replaced. I washed the loose covers and took them them to Dee Cee Upholstery to be refilled. As I no longer drive, I took the bus which was very easy as the bus stop is practically outside the shop. I was given a very competitive price for the work, and was told that the finished cushions would be delivered free of charge. As the shop was recommended to me, I was happy to pay in advance to save paying on delivery. I was especially grateful that the refilled cushions were delivered, I would never have managed them on the bus and that saved an expensive taxi fare. The work was completed ahead of the agreed date, and the cushions delivered as arranged with no issues. I am really happy with the work done. Now I need to get my armchair done, and will be going back to Dee Cee Upholstery in due course.

The 4 Edwardian dining chairs were stripped back to the frame, re-sprung and re-upholstered in customer own material. We supplied the gimp trimming to finish the job. Thank you for your business.
My old multi York 2 seater was worse for wear and Derek did such a fantastic job that I think it's better than ever.

I was having building work done and Derek kindly collected sofa so it wasn't in the way of the builders. Also the sofa was ready before the work was completed and Derek kindly held on to sofa until the flooring had been done. The finished item is superb. So comfortable. I was so happy that I bought another on gumtree for Derek to reupholster to match this one. Absolutely over the moon with the job

The 4 dining chairs were in need of complete re-upholstery. They were stripped out to the seat frames and re-padded with fire retardant foam. Our customer comment “cannot fault them in any way” was rewarding.

I have two Cintique fireside chairs I inherited from my parents. They were in an exceptionally bad state after 72 years of constant use. Dee Cee have recushioned and reupholstered them and they are now as good as new. I received very friendly, courteous and punctual service.

The chairs were completely stripped out and re-upholstered. We used fire retardant foam. The showood frames were stripped and re-polished. The fabric chosen was a Burgundy Velvet and the backs were buttoned. Our customer joked they should last another 72 years.

We had four sofa cushions reupholstered by Dee Cee Upholstery and are very pleased with the work. The job was done with great care and attention to detail, and the foam quality used is excellent. ON VISITING OUR SHOWROOM IN PORTWOOD WE INVITED OUR CUSTOMERS TO OUR GOLDYLOCKS ROOM WHERE WE HAVE DIFERENT QUALITYS AND DENSITYS ON DISPLAY SO YOU CAN SIT ON AND TRY BEFORE YOU BUY .AFTER TRYING THE VARIOUS CUSHION INTERIORS OUR CUSTOMERS CHOSE THE SANDWICH CUSHION WHICH IS THE MOST POPULAR WHICH IS MADE UP OF A FIRM DENSITY IN THE MIDDLE WITH A 1 INCH TOP AND BOTTOM OF MEDIUM DENSITY FIRE RETARDANT FOAM ANOTHER CUSTOMER LEFT SITTING COMFORTABLY

The original cushions for our sofa were too soft. We visited DeeCee on a personal recommendation and were advised by Derek - the owner - on the best type of cushion filler for the job. We have just picked the cushions up and put them back in place - they are perfect. We are very pleased with the job and result and will recommend this company. On visiting our showroom we invited our customer to our goldilocks room and tried various cushion densities and decided on our sandwich foam, which has a firm foam in the middle and softer foam on the top and bottom. Thank you for your positive review.

Whilst our customer states “it may be not the cheapest” but a professional job done properly. It’s a fact that the cheapest is not always the best option. Remember the old adage “buy cheap buy twice”.
Re cane and upholstered Victorian chair.

The caned back of this Victorian chair had been damaged. It has been completely recaned in the original style. The sprung seat has been reupholstered in a fabric of my choosing. The finished chair is neat, well finished and comfortable to sit in. This is the third item (2 of my own chairs and a large sofa that belongs to a friend) that I have had reupholstered here over several years. The work has always been done to a high standard and all the chairs are still in constant use . The work was completed in the time frame given and the cost was as the original quote. The team were friendly and happy to advise re the choose of fabric.

The Victorian Caned chair is very rare having a fully sprung seat. Our customer chose a soft Chenille fabric with contrasting braid. We helped our customer in choosing the fabric. Another customer left sitting comfortably.
