We would like to introduce you to Dee Cee Upholstery and Interior’s World of Comfort.
Established in 1978, we are one of the South’s leading experts in Upholstery and Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs.
Partner in Dee Cee Upholstery, Derek Caplen, became the youngest master Upholsterer in the UK at the tender age of 21, and by the age of 43 he had become the youngest Fellow of the Association of Master Upholsterers for his outstanding contribution in training young people, and dedication to the A.M.U. and Soft Furnishers.
As suppliers of award winning, quality Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs, we are acknowledged experts, recommended by occupational therapists, physiotherapists and healthcare professionals, and are approved specialist suppliers to local councils and the NHS.
We have also won local and national awards for exceptional customer service.

First to last the service was excellent. Derek’s advice was invaluable in choice of contrasting materials and alternating use of the chosen materials across the sofas. Professional and courteous throughout Karen kept us informed throughout. COVID conscientious. We are super pleased with the reupholstered sofas and chairs. Not only do they look great but so comfortable and supportive to sit on. Will definitely use them again and no hesitation in recommending them.

Inherited a drab old chair, which despites its looks fitted well in our family room. Derek collected the chair, stripped it down completely, got the wood cleaned and polished, and reupholstered it, then delivered it back to me. It now looks amazing. Communication was excellent throughout. So happy I went for "recycle" rather than new and highly recommend Dee Cee Upholstery

Our much loved and used furniture has been given a new lease of life, better than going to landfill especially as they fitted in our home perfectly but we had just worn them out with family life . Originally covered in a hard wearing linen union ,we chose a faux leather by Christina Morrone to give us longevity. Both Derek and Karen in the showroom were always helpful , patient and friendly whilst we chose the material for the job and had plenty of sample books for us to take home and choose from . The arrangements we made for collection and then the delivery of our reupholstered furniture back to us were carried out with good communication along the way ,and as per quoted price .We needed new back cushion interiors and the seat cushions were made reversible at no extra charge . Definitely money well spent and great to support a local business.

Thank you for a very nice review whilst your sofas and pouffe were over 30 years old, and because they were of such such high quality they had great potential .Our customer went to great lengths to make sure they had chosen the right faux leather in terms of texture and colour and overall look . We delivered on time and on budget even though we had to supply completely new back cushion interior's free of charge . It was a pleasure to work with our customers and will i am sure that they will be comfortable for many years to come

I required eight conservatory seat cushions recovered and having purchased goods from the same shop many years ago. I decided to give them a go. It was really good to find out that the shop is still run on a family basis and that two of the chaps in the shop were apprentice to Ron Eldridge. The service was perfect. The virus control is well supported and looked perfectly safe to get in the shop. The quality of the material and the workmanship was of A1 service. The cushions were completed on time. I highly recommend DeeCee.

We were the first upholstery shop in Southampton to retail rise and recline mobility healthcare chairs over 35 years ago, and at that time they were imported from America . We are delighted that our customer is happy with her chair . In our Portswood showroom we have on display Celebrity motion furniture made in the U.K. we are pleased that the service and delivery was excellent

Derek did an amazing job recovering my occasional hallway chair in beautiful Royal Blue Velvet. It looked absolutely amazing and was done to a very high standard. I visited their shop in Portswood and Derek and his wife Karen were so helpful. Derek collected the chair and the work was completed in the time that he stated. I would recommend Derek and his team to anyone as you are guaranteed a First Class Job and nothing is to much trouble and the price I paid was very reasonable. Thank you for everything Derek and Karen.

Our customers chair was a brand new bargain buy on eBay but in the wrong colour. We recovered it in the same style which was a fluted back design and the review reflects all that is good doing business with us

Very pleased with finished result. Took in piano stool past its prime but it had sentimental value. They have polished and reupholstered the stool and I cannot believe it is the same item I am looking at. So lovely and helpful.

I have been using Dee Cee Upholstery for 43 years in fact I was their first customer. Nothing is too much trouble for them. So when I had the idea of sewing fabric samples together to update a chair. They said no problem! We discussed where each fabric was to go. I couldn’t be more delighted with the result. Derek has made a boring dull chair into a real statement piece of furniture I’m proud to have in my lounge.

Jackie , over the 43 years has had most of her upholstered furniture re-upholstered here at Dee Cee . This particular wing chair was recovered in hand made patch work and quilted and we discussed where each panel would go , i might add the finished chair looked stunning

We have worked for We have worked for Jonathan Terry Funeral Directors for nearly 20 years and congratulate them on their recent expansion . We were asked to recover their existing sofas and chairs in a hard wearing chenille to take pride of place in their new bereavement suite ,they add to the light and airy ambience of their new extension . As an authorized and trained applicators of anti stain protection we sprayed the furniture to help keep it in pristine condition .
