Established in 1978, we are one of the South’s leading experts in Upholstery and Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs.
Partner in Dee Cee Upholstery, Derek Caplen, became the youngest master Upholsterer in the UK at the tender age of 21, and by the age of 43 he had become the youngest Fellow of the Association of Master Upholsterers for his outstanding contribution in training young people, and dedication to the A.M.U. and Soft Furnishers.
As suppliers of award winning, quality Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs, we are acknowledged experts, recommended by occupational therapists, physiotherapists and healthcare professionals, and are approved specialist suppliers to local councils and the NHS.

We had a chair and ottoman reupholstered in a 'designer guild' fabric. The chair was brand new from loaf. The chair is better than new with more plump cushions and a more luxurious feel. Customer service is second to none. You really feel in the hands of masters.

We had 2 sofas 15 years old & they were a little tired in particular the material although we loved the style & size. Throughout the whole process, Derek & his team made it easy from going through fabrics to the end result. The workmanship far exceeded our expectations. We opted for firmer seat cushions & all new scatter backs. Our sofas are now unique & better than new. You need to remember that upholstery isn’t a cheaper option to buying new but what you get is far better in quality of padding, comfort & material & that will stay looking great for longer. Having looked at new sofas the quality isn’t there. We now have two beautifully unique pieces. I was originally recommended this company from a family member who had new arm covers made for her sofa & I have to say it’s the best decision I made going with Dee Cee, I will also be recommending them on.

We required a cushion for our bench in the kitchen. Dee Cee Upholsterers created a quality cushion that will take years of use without showing wear and tear as the manufacture process was very thorough. Quite expensive but a excellent product.

Derek came to assess what was required and quoted to re-plump the leather seat on my chair, which was very compressed, and also replace the webbing, as well as plump the back as well. They collected it, completed the work and returned it in 10 days. I asked for the seat cushion to be firm and am delighted with the result. In addition, they called to say that the work took less time than expected, so reduced the price they originally quoted, which was a pleasant surprise. Very efficient and professional company, who also offer a warranty on their work.

We are really pleased with the work Dee Cee Upholstery have completed. They made 5 new cushions for our suite and it is now like having a completely new suite without the expense of a brand new suite. It is such a sensible option to upgrade and refresh a tired suite with newly made seats and covers. The suite is really modern looking now and fabulously comfortable. Derek and team have been a pleasure to deal with. We have had an old M&S sofa (24 years old) re-upholstered to an amazing standard, it looks better than new. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is second to none. It was a 2 week turnaround and they kindly provided chairs for us to use in the interim period. I am over the moon with the quality of workmanship from Dee Cee Interiors. I was apprehensive about having my suite re-upholstered, but wow I have two absolutely unique stunning sofas, in superb fabrics. Derek and his team spent time explaining about the fabrics and which fabrics would crush over time and which wouldn't. The staff at Dee Cee were always very helpful and friendly, the whole experience was excellent, very personal and friendly, yet professional. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dee Cee Interiors. A first class job!

Would really recommend DeeCee upholstery. A fantastic job was carried out recovering my dining chairs. They had a great selection of materials available to choose from, but helped narrow the selection down for me to make choosing easy and simple. They also offer a stain protection and collected and dropped off my chairs to my house, which was really helpful. Great customer service and a very professional job, will definitely be using again.

My old arm chair needed a revamp and I went to Dee Cee upholstery as they local to me. I was really impressed with the personal service I received from Derek, he went through lots of books of fabrics even letting me borrow a book for a few days to check colour. We agree a price once I had chosen fabric and was given an idea of date for collection of the chair. Karen phoned me a few weeks later to arrange to collect the chair and she told me it would be 2 weeks for job to be carried out. True to her word she phoned me and we arranged delivery. I am so pleased with the service I received from start to finish. Not forgetting Jason who actually did the work. Fabulous! I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Our two chairs had once been very comfortable. They are over 50 years old and had been sat upon by us and bounced upon by the grandchildren. The springs on one chair were badly distorted and the upholstery had been scratched and worn by our now deceased cat. Dee Cee upholstery welcomed us to their premises with the required lockdown restrictions and showed us a great selection of fabrics. They advised us to consider deeper cushions, which we ordered. We were told about the likely time they could start the work and the length of time it would take. We took sample books home to compare colours and shades and were sent an invoice. The work was completed within budget. The chairs were collected from home and then delivered back after completion. They look really smart. Derek and the showroom staff were helpful. We were pleased to have the work undertaken and completed so promptly.

We inherited an Ercol chair which was in need of recovering. We contacted Dee Cee Upholstery as they were very local to us and have an excellent reputation. They collected the chair and completed the work within the agreed timescale. What particularly impressed us was not only the standard of work (which is superb) but the fact that they kept us informed of progress from the initial estimate, a discussion on the selection of materials and possible extras through to completion and delivery. We don’t have anything else to recover but if we did we would use them again without hesitation.

This is the fourth job undertaken by Derek and his team so this review speaks for itself! We have had two very old armchairs, a settee, leather chesterfield and now a sofa bed. All this furniture has been given a new lease of life and unrecognisable. You would think they had come straight from Harrods. Derek and his team are very helpful and friendly. Not forgetting Karen who painstakingly helped me choose the leather for the chesterfield. We only had to wait just over a week and courtesy chairs were offered if needed. Thank you, Derek and your team for your amazing work.

Inherited a drab old chair, which despites its looks fitted well in our family room. Derek collected the chair, stripped it down completely, got the wood cleaned and polished, and reupholstered it, then delivered it back to me. It now looks amazing.
