Beautifully manufactured sash windows. The installation team were top quality. Our builder was really impressed by the professionalism of the team who obviously took a real pride in their workmanship. We badly needed a new wooden front door for our old Victorian house but wanted it doing without the need to replace the original door frame. Another of our requirements was that the door was to have different internal and external colours and a different finish to the door fittings. Several firms had told us that this couldn't be done. We paid a visit to the Derwent showroom at Trent Bridge Nottingham who arranged for one of their staff to visit us to do an assessment. They said it was not a problem. From the first discussion through to the door being completed and fitted all the staff at Derwent were knowledgeable, punctual, professional, efficient and friendly. A special mention must go to Kim at the Nottingham showroom and Mark the fitter. We are extremely pleased with the result, the new door looks great. A big thank-you to all at Derwent.

Derwent Windows replaced around 20 windows in our 1904 Edwardian maybe 8 years ago, superb job, superb team. Most were sash windows, conservation area etc The door was 1904 and falling apart. Went for the proper door, they fitted it in a day, their staff are craftsmen.

The whole end to end experience of using Derwent windows was excellent, from initial site visit, to survey, to installation. First time we have used Derwent Windows and they were excellent from start to finish. We had two wooden sash windows installed to match the rest of the windows in our house. The fitters were prompt, polite and did a very professional job. They kept us informed throughout the fitting, regularly checking with us to make sure we were happy with progress and at the end made sure that everything was clean and tidy and to our satisfaction. We would definitely use them again and in fact I have just recommended them to a neighbour who saw our new windows and was very impressed

In my opinion, Derwent Windows ultimately decided to prioritise their own profit over doing the right thing by their customer. Only after damage started to occur was I told that either “damage is normal during an installation” or that the product I had chosen was “easily marked or damaged”. Both these statements were confirmed not to be true by Origin, the manufacturer, when I raised this with them. A refund was offered but the time to find another installer & start the whole process again wasn’t an option for me, due to delaying my renovation. Instead, I gave Derwent Windows the opportunity to make good any issues experienced. The Which? Trusted Trader approved Dispute Resolution process had to be taken to get the problem resolved. As the Chartered Surveyor started to come to his decision, Derwent Windows decided to settle my claim in full. After 21+ months of unpleasantness, I received a refund of over £2,100. The 10 year insurance backed guarantee has also now been received, which during this process, Derwent Windows attempted to withhold (even though as a FENSA member this is stated as being mandatory). The outstanding remedial work that was also agreed upon, has at this time after 4 weeks not taken place, this has had to be escalated to Which?. In conclusion, unless you know your legal rights as a consumer & are prepared to fight for them, I cannot recommend using Derwent Windows, as the experience has been extremely time consuming, stressful & unpleasant.

The workmen arrived when expected and were polite and friendly. They got on with replacing our front door efficiently and asked us to check where door furnishing were required. We are happy with the look and the quality. It feels very solid and secure. And looks really good. The only surprise was that there was no re-confirmation of the due date for fitting by email or phone. I had to make the call as it had been booked quite a way ahead. But was only a little concern.

Living in a Conservation Area we thought long and hard about UPVC windows. After much research we came across Derwent in 2018 and they have replaced most of our windows, both casement and sash, in stages over the past six years. We have been extremely happy with the quality of the windows and the workmanship. Any minor snags have quickly been dealt with. The staff are all very pleasant and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this company.

Derwent Windows have done extensive work on my home, fitting both external and internal windows and glazed doors. From start to finish my experience has been extremely positive. Following my initial inquiry there was a system in place that began with a visit to assess my needs, followed by a surveyor, who came to assess the work and make templates for an unusually sized door, and then the team who came to the fit the products. Each was efficient and time effective. Each person I came into contact with, including those at the office, were very polite, speedy to respond and I was extremely reassured that I was dealing with a business who cared, is professional and has high standards. I've already frequently recommended Derwent as I've had so many compliments on my doors and Windows and will continue to do so.

Ordered replacement Upvc sash window, wooden back door & internal wooden french doors. Very happy with the overall process and end result. Full spec and quote given for all works,and price held despite some delays at our end. Survey, back office and installation teams were all very professional, and our timetables met. We are particularly happy with the wooden architrave finishes especially on the Upvc sash window, which makes it really hard to tell that its "not wood". Wooden doors were a little more expensive vs composite doors of others, but not excessively so, and well worth it. Upvc sash was the best "wood-effect" window we found in the area. Already recommended to friends.

New front door installed This company was efficient but friendly right from the beginning when looking at doors in their showroom. Once I had made my decision their representative came and took all the necessary measurements. I was then contacted when payments necessary and made aware of the length of time it could possibly be before door would be ready and could be installed . On e adapter arose it was all very smoothly done. Very conscientious about sheeting everything down and then cleaning up afterwards, workmanship was great, thoroughly pleased with my new door and rate this company very highly. Nice when folk are good at their job, efficient but friendly too, makes it the best.

A first class product supplied and fitted by a first class company. Having used Derwent Windows previously we decided to approach the company to supply and fit the remaining windows in our property. Expert advice during the survey was given on the most appropriate type of windows. In this instance traditional casement rather than sash windows, two of which we had previously fitted by the company. Work was completed to the agreed schedule and budget despite some inclement weather conditions at times. The fitters were always considerate when in our home protecting fixtures and fittings at all times. Having used the company before we have found the aftercare excellent. We would have no hesitation in recommending Derwent Windows and will be using the company for future work.

Derwent Windows are usually very good, but with this order of just one window its been an awful experience. It was weeks for someone to actually visit and measure up the opening, which has had knock on problems meaning we weren't able to complete the extension weather proofing before Christmas. The chap fitting the window didn't seem to want to be here, and we still haven't got the keys to operate it. We placed an order with someone else for a Bifold door, and from order to fitting was 3 weeks.

Decided to replace 2 doors and 2 windows including our front door..Viewed the products at a local showroom and obviously they were of very good quality.The surveyor was very experienced and was able to answer all our enquiries.Long lead time for manufacture but we were very pleased with the quality once fitted.The fitters were excellent working hard throughout the day despite heavy rain even refitting Venetian blinds afterwards which we thought we would have to do. Although they inadvertently cut through a telephone cable which both we and they thought was redundant when it turned out it wasn’t they successfully repaired the severance. Overall very happy with the product and extremely happy with the fitting.

This company has now undertaken installations at both my current and previous properties, in all, several stunning window and door projects over the past 10 + years. The work just completed (December 2023) required feasibility advice on the installation of brand new floor-to-ceiling timber windows in alcoves to either side of a fireplace. From the initial survey and valued technical advice, to ordering the bespoke timber products, and finally the skilled building work undertaken by the superb in-house team, everything went to plan - and looks fantastic.

Derwent windows initially installed 2 new French doors for us in April and we were so pleased with them that we went ahead and asked them to replace all the windows in our house which were in a sorry state. We were rather anxious as it was such a big, expensive job but we couldn't be happier with the finished result as our new windows are not only beautiful in appearance but they have made the house much more soundproof, warmer and secure. The whole job was completed within the 2 week schedule and the timekeeping of the window team was excellent. They were friendly, respectful and professional throughout and there was minimal disruption during the job. It has been a pleasure to deal with a company who not only have first rate products but also have a good team of window fitters to install them. Our thanks to the Managing Director Rob and all his team on a first class installation.
