My gas combi-boiler suddenly began leaking water. I was not satisfied with the previous plumber who had serviced the boiler so contacted Ian after spotting him on Which Trusted Trader. He answered my call immediately, and agreed to attend two days later. He would have come sooner but I could not arrange to be in. He quickly identified the problem, explained it to me, and it was fixed within about half-an-hour. I thought the price charged was very fair, and I found Ian to be friendly and he explained everything in understandable language. I would definitely recommend him and would use him again myself.

Ian has helped me in total 3 times. The first 2 times were for leaks (internal), which caused a lot of damage. I had not used Ian before but he gave me excellent advice on the phone and was highly responsive in remediating the leak which he attended to in the evening of the same day. The 3rd occassion was for remediation (which became a re installation) of a Worcester gas boiler. Once again we were in a pickle ... this was a few weeks before Christmas without hot water and heating and the UK weather was extremely cold. Once again Ian was highly responsive and the boiler was installed with 2 days effort. In all cases I can say Ian has gone the exta mile and it is a pleasure to write this review and be able to give him the highest recommendation.

Ian came by to look at the job and provided a reasonably priced quote. He was friendly and explained everything thoroughly. We were having problems with some radiator leaks and radiator thermostats not working which in a big, older building is a more complex job. When Ian came to do the job he was professional, friendly, did a good job of fixing the problem. He also gave other advice related to a connected boiler issue which was very helpful in helping us to resolve that problem too. He also called the next day to check if everything was ok.

Ian serviced our boiler, updated a key component, installed a Hive thermostat control, replaced kitchen tap and checked a toilet cistern all in one morning! The work was all planned to make effective use of time and Ian is a pleasure to have in the house, being polite and communicating effectively on the programme of work.

I had arranged with Ian 3 jobs that needed doing. Servicing the boiler, revealing the shower tray and fitting a stop tap to isolate and external tap to prevent it freezing up during cold spells. He’s just such a brilliant plumber. Arrived on time, does exactly what is needed and explains fully just what he is going to do to make sure everyone is sing from the same hymn sheet. The quality of his workmanship is excellent. When fitting the stop tap and drainage point, he ensured it was accessible below a small section of floor board which could just lift up so I would not have to go under the floor to isolate the tap. Great attention to detail. Ian has done lots of jobs in our house, he really is a problem solver. Fully recommend Devine plumbers with no hesitation. He’s a great guy and an excellent plumber. Ian attended the property, promptly at the agreed time to resolve an issue with two leaking radiators. He drained the system, fitted upgraded valves and refilled the heating system. His work was very thorough and he tidied up after completing the work. He also explained the work. I would highly recommend Ian Devine to anyone who requires the services of a plumber.

Ian sorted out our broken radiator valves, replacing and ensuring they could work with our new TADO smart system to regulate each radiator remotely. He went the extra mile and made sure it was all set up for us. Highly recommended.

Ian at least 7 years ago helped repair my shower. Since then he has put in a central heating system as I had electric storage heaters. Serviced the boiler each year, and last week after ordering a part for my gas fire got the part fitted and working. The shower touch wood is working fine. Happy with all his work and gets back to me when I ring him.

For the last two years we have used this company for all our plumbing needs, including fitting a new boiler system and a complete bathroom renovation amongst other small jobs. They provide an unbeatable friendly service, and are always happy to help. Ian helped us completely transform our small bathroom based on a small rough sketch I had made. He worked with us to maximise the space and the results are beautiful, still looking brand new eighteen months on. Since moving to Manchester we've used Ian a few times and will always contact him when we need a plumber. He's sorted an absolute mess of pipes accumulated over 70 years, sorted radiators, fixed stoptaps, fitted toilets...all the good stuff. Great guy. Likes his coffee white with no sugar.

Ian first came to our property in September last year. Since that point he has removed our old heating system, removed old and disused piping, installed a new boiler and new heating system as well as installing new radiators in most rooms of the house. He has also plumbed in a new water connection for our washing machine as well as removing old waste pipe and installing a new plastic one. His work has been extensive and done to a high standard, if any problems arose with our house he quickly and calmly resolved them. He has always been honest with me and my partner and done whatever we have asked of him and done so to a high quality finish. We would recommend him to all our friends in a heartbeat, he has given us so many tips on how to take care of our boiler and our new system he has installed. His quotes are fair and you are paying for a master of his craft. If you want the job done properly he is your tradesman. He also likes coffee with a bit of milk in. Thanks for everything Ian.

Ian gave me some advice to minimize the damage in case the vertical radiator came off the wall until he could get there. Unfortunately because of the work done by another plumber it made his job more difficult but he stuck to his quote and stayed late to complete the job. He came back at a later date after repairs to the interior wall hade been completed and replaced the vertical radiator. A very pleasant, accommodating and tidy worker.

Ian Devine was recommended by a friend when I discovered a minor leak underneath the kitchen sink; something he fixed most satisfactorily. Some three years down the line, and just before this Bank Holiday, I had a major pipe burst behind the boiler on the ground floor quite late in the evening - water everywhere about an inch deep. I rang and he came round! I hadn’t really thought he would even answer the phone seeing it was ‘out of hours’ and was contemplating ringing the emergency services. He was unbelievably calm and professional in spite of the chaos he was presented with: stopping the water cascading, immobilising the gas and double checking all was safe. He was up front about when he would be available to undertake the necessary repairs due to work promised elsewhere, and then completed it within the promised time frame working round my child care commitments. He has replaced the wrecked boiler, removed the ancient water tank in the loft (an exceedingly old system which had been giving me nightmares for some time) and fitted a new boiler in an altogether more suitable area in the house. He also replaced radiators which were well past their sell by date. Very impressed with Devine Plumbing & Heating Services not only for the professional competence, fair price and guaranteed work but for the care and attention given to carrying it out. And eternally grateful for the initial ‘rescue’ response.

Ian ran a gas line for me which can be used for a gas fire. He was quick to respond to me, came round to give a quote the next day and then did the work the following day. He was friendly and helpful, even giving me advice on my boiler too! He was thorough in his work and left everything tidy at the end.

I'm very happy with the work Ian has done for me, he was able to schedule me in for the following day to complete two gas safety checks, despite having to change vehicles even to get to mine on the day and all for a very reasonable price. He arrived promptly and completed the work very thoroughly taking time to ensure I was aware of any issues and potential issues that could crop up. He clearly knows what he is talking about! Also, at the first property the gas safety shutoff tap was very stiff so he organised Transco to sort it out who were able to replace the valve within an hour on the same day free of charge. Ian installed the new boiler at our previous property, and we were glad to ask him to fit a Worcester combi-boiler when we moved into our new house. We renovated the entire property, and as well as installing the boiler (re-sited to a new location from the old boiler), Ian fitted new radiators and pipework to serve the new layout. Ian came to the property at key stages to carry out different phases of the work, and his flexibility in making himself available to get to the site at times that coordinated with other tradesmen involved on the project really helped us in getting into the property before our Christmas deadline. I heard about Ian originally as a family recommendation, and I am happy to recommend based on the work he has done for us.

Ian is a friendly, straight talking chap who did a great job of replacing our 15 year old Ravenheat boiler with a new Worcester Bosch 30i. His quote was cheaper than 2 other which recommended local companies and was quickest to respond. Ian did a great job of making sure the position of the condensate drainage pipe was planned carefully and explained all the possible options for us well. The job was completed tidily and took about 1.5 days. He even spent a while debugging the Nest thermostat with me and would not leave until it was working correctly! Great service at a great price, would not hesitate to recommend these guys for boiler replacements.

In Dec 2018 I discovered a problem with my central heating. As my usual plumber was unavailable, I looked at the Which Trusted Traders list to identify a plumber in my area, and contacted Ian from Devine Plumbing and Heating Services. I was very impressed with the work that Ian did for me:- 1) he responded quickly to my initial call 2) he was able to quickly diagnose and rectify the problem 3) he undertook the work in a professional and friendly manner I would be very happy to use Ian again for any future work on my central heating system.

Ian has helped me out with many plumbing emergencies over the years. He has also fitted a new bathroom for me and a new boiler when I moved house. He is always very reliable and friendly and he is flexible on times if you work long hours like I do. I would highly recommend him and his team!

Fantastic work! Previous home owner was a DIY man who fitted very small waste pipes from the kitchen sink. After several blockages, I called Ian and his team. They responded quickly, explained the problem, fitted new (bigger) pipes and cleaned up everything so the kitchen was spotless when my lovely wife returned. Well done and thanks

Ian and his team were great to work with. Ian provided a design service, and expertly installed and finished our bathroom. The quality of workmanship was really excellent, and I found him to be helpful, considerate and reliable. We now have a wonderful new bathroom, all working perfectly, and this adds a nice contemporary look to our home. We are delighted, and would chose Ian again for any plumbing job we needed.

We contacted Ian to arrange a replacement boiler. He provided us with excellent advice and guided us through the various options available. We had no problem arranging an installation date and were perfectly happy to leave Ian with a key to our house and for him to manage the installation while we were away on a short holiday. The installation went well, despite some access issues (which Ian sorted out really well for us) and was completed within the timescales quoted. The after-care has been great - Ian explained the controls and the maintenance schedule and registered the warrantee online for us as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ian for plumbing jobs large or small (this wasn't the first job he's done for us - and he has been consistently good).

We've just had a bathroom completely refitted by Ian Devine. We wanted to move the toilet, sink and radiator as well as install a shower enclosure. Along with changes to the hot and cold internal pipe work, this meant the ancient cast iron soil pipe would need removing, replacing and rerouting. Not an easy task. We contacted Ian Devine and from start to finish, he was great - thoroughly professional, knowledgeable and skilled. At the early planning stages he gave us advice and support. During the refit he explained every step as he went along, Afterwards, he visited to check everything was OK, The plasterers and tiler he called in were also top notch. We are delighted with the bathroom he's created for us.

Was given Ian's contact details via another plumber. He was fast, friendly and reliable. He fixed a leak from our bathroom to kitchen, then followed up plumbing the bath taps back in. He also gave me some tips on patching up the tiling. Was a great help and would recommend him to anyone that needs work doing. A very professional service.

Just before Christmas I wanted a new radiator fitting. As a result of looking in Which?Local I contacted Devine Plumbing. Ian came to my house and gave me an estimate and advice on what type of radiator to get. With Christmas fast approaching I got the radiator and contacted Ian. He arranged a date for the work to be done, importantly for me, before Christmas. On the date arranged his engineer, Phil, arrived on time. He was a very clean efficient worker, cheerful and pleasant. He did an excellent job. I would not have any hesitation in using Devine Plumbing again and would recommend them confidently.

I had issues with boiler pressure which meant it constantly lost water from heating system through overflow pipe. Called Ian based on reviews on this site, he came same day and identified issue with expansion tank. Initially he tried to resolve re-pressuring however this did not work so had to fit external expansion tank. Work was scheduled 2 days later and was completed promptly and with minimal fuss / mess. Would definitely recommend Devine plumbing!

Devine Plumbing replaced my old boiler. It was a pretty complicated job because I live in an apartment so it involved working at height and also needed to be completed to the highest standards to ensure it met all of the regulations and considerations of a communal building. The team offered me very sound advice and a number of options to consider for installation. They were professional, friendly and considered in their approach, consulting with me throughout. The installation was conducted professionally, efficiently and accurately. I now have a wonderful toasty-warm apartment and a secure and safe installation that meets all the necessary standards. I highly recommend this firm - they were even very lovely to my Staffie dog who was keen to get involved and check everything was on track!

I have used Devine Plumbing previously and been impressed with the quality and efficiency of work completed. When an insurance repair relating to escape of water unveiled a poorly fitted value on a water pipe, I instructed Devine again. The work was completed quickly and efficiently and I am delighted. Devine Plumbing refurbished our Scout Hut toilets with new urinals, sinks and a new cistern. As well as tiling. Started and finished the work on schedule. All the work was completed to a high standard. Ian consulted me before starting work to ensure what my exact requirements were and kept me informed on progress throughout. Ian was a pleasure to work with, highly recommended.

It's all about quality of service and attention to detail. This new boiler installation and movement to a different location went extremely smoothly with no problems. It's good to see a professional using a spirit level to install pipes that would be visible after install. Also he little extras like the magnetic filter and 8 year warranty and regular yearly servicing make Ian someone I would recommend without question. The most communicative tradesman I have ever come across! Always letting you know what is going on and when. Had real issues with ordering a bath too big, however they used their ingenuity (and a saw) to make it fit. Really helpful and honest worker with the highest of standards. Cannot recommend highly enough.
