Diamond Driveways

I arranged to have some work done for my mum by Diamond Driveways a couple of years ago. Their work was terrific and we were very pleased with the result. The driveway looks as good and fresh two years later as when they finished it. The reason I'm leaving a review today is because I managed to send them a large some of money by mistake from my banking app yesterday evening. I left a text message for the sales guy who dealt with my mum's driveway, and even though it was Saturday night and he was abroad with his family, he contacted his colleague and got back in touch with me to say so. His colleague sent me an email requesting my details and by Sunday (today) he had returned the money to my bank account and emailed to tell me so. It was my foolish mistake but Diamond Driveways went above and beyond to rectify the problem quickly and efficiently and with great communication. If I ever need more work to be done, I would definitely use these guys. Not only is their work exactly what you would hope for, the response to the mistake I just spoke about, demonstrates their care and professionalism on a whole other level. Thank you!

Steven & Sorin did a great job for us. Steven came to see us soon after we contacted Diamond Driveways and explained exactly what they could provide. And he brought round the most delicious honey cake, which the whole family loved. The finished driveway looks great.

After an intensive search to find a quality driveway company, Diamond Driveways was recommended to me by a good friend. I can honestly say if you are looking for quality work, value for money, workers that stay on the job until the job is finished, a sales rep that answers or returns all your calls, before, during and after the job has completed, the this is your company. I found their staff extremely helpful, polite and very respectful. My daughter was so impressed she had her driveway and patio completed to perfection by this company. All I can say is thank you for providing the service you stated when quoting for the job.

We saw Elliott in Apr 18 who promised work would start in 3-6 weeks and that they didn't subcontract. 3 months later, in Jul 18, a date was agreed with minimal notice. After not turning up on the agreed date, nor informing us, subcontractors eventually turned up 3 days later whom I caught trying to hide their own signage. 2 weeks of nightmare ensued with the subcontractors running out of materials. I caught them drinking beer and urinating in our side passage. Whilst the job looked good initially, the driveway started to sink by Dec 18. The subcontractor never turned up to rectify, Elliott went incommunicado and Steve Lewis took this on. In Feb 2019, the driveway was pulled up and re-done by Dariusz where they found beer cans buried. I was not particularly happy with the quality of the work as there appeared to be quite steep gradients. Once again, more urinating down our side passage and me having to empty out our storage boxes of this. By Nov 21, this driveway also started to sink and the pointing had holes in it. The driveway was pulled up again and re-done by Ardit. By Apr 22, the driveway had started to sink again. No responses to emails initially but managed to get an inspection date of 17 Jun (Dariusz forgot to turn up) which happened on 18 Jun. No initial response to emails but work was arranged for 2 Aug 22. Steve on holiday and Dariusz's flight delayed so nobody turned up. No warning given and left hanging around still with a faulty drive. Awful experience.

We are so glad we opted to use Diamond Driveways. The whole project was managed brilliantly from start to finish by Steven, who provided us with various options and recommendations. His vision and attention to detail was first-class. Darius and his build team were hard working and meticulous. Our neighbours commented on how considerate and tidy they were as they worked, and the end result looks absolutely perfect - exceeding our expectations. They did a great job and driveway now looks fabulous . We initially had an issue with the concrete laid but Jake and his team rectified the problem quickly and efficiently. Paul was in constant communication with us at all stages to make sure we were happy. A great team of people who want the best for their customers and will go all out to ensure it. I only use Which Trusted Traders for any works I require and Diamond Driveways didn’t disappoint after reading other reviews on this website. I was quoted a competitive price after receiving many estimates, end of May 2021 for an August start date. However, I was prepared for and expected a delay due to COVID-19 restrictions and global supply chain issues of goods and materials, receiving a delayed start for 18 November that I didn’t mind at all. Special thanks to Jonathon at Diamond Driveways for his continuous communication and being flexible to minor changes in the scheduled works during my garden’s evolution, his customer relations and liaison skills are excellent and my experience was positive, I found Jonathon to be honest, polite, understanding, easy to deal with and customer focused. Hafiz, managing the on-site works and his hardworking team deserves a special mention, removing plants, trees and shrubs, excavating and levelling the ground, installing concrete posts, gravel-boards and wooden fence panels around the garden parameters, a new side gate, stairs to garden from our kitchen, re-turfing, re-designing the drainage and laying down a concrete shed base. All beautifully finished with attention to detail. All waste was cleared. Diamond Services completes a thorough inspection to customer satisfaction before signing off the works. Thumbs up for completing the project before Christmas, on time (ahead of schedule) and on budget. I will definitely use again.

We had our garden done recently and our project manager was the wonderful Steven Lewis. We did originally want all the same sized stones for the paving, but Steven Lewis recommended that we instead go for the mixed size. As having the same size stones don’t show the variety of colour that the mixed do. We opted for raaj green and we cannot be any happier with the outcome. Ardit and his outstanding team were very professional at their job, and we couldn’t fault them in any way. The final result is amazing and we cannot wait to use our garden when the weather gets better.

We recently had our garden walls and patio demolished and rebuilt by Diamond Driveways. Steven Lewis guided us throughout the initial process (even bringing us a delicious honey cake!) and the work was completed by Artem and his team. Diamond Driveways provided us with a new driveway and this has transformed the appearance of the front of our house. We were originally dealt with by Elliot, who is very friendly and who took our order. Elliot advised on options to get the outcome we were seeking and was very professional/understanding when my wife & I changed our minds several times regarding the design! The work itself was completed within agreed timescales and to a very high standard by Ardit and his team. Ardit is also friendly and very knowledgeable regarding the practicalities and best way to overcome the issues that inevitably arise on a project such as this. Ardit and the whole team are very hardworking and they take great pride in what they do; when there was an issue with levels and the line the edging originally followed, the team identified it immediately themselves and fully resolved it without being asked. The block cuts and brick-laying are all very precise and this attention to detail has delivered a driveway that we are extremely pleased with. It would no doubt have been possible to have found a lower price for this work, but when you are undertaking a project that you only want to do once, it always a mistake to confuse price with value! I have no hesitation in recommending this company and their services and to ensure that everyone involved will understand that their efforts are appreciated, I will simply say "faleminderit"!

Diamond Driveways have recently completed a new front drive , paths around our house and a new patio. We were very impressed with service from the initial meeting with Paul to completion of the work. We were advised of the schedule and costs before work started. Diamond Driveways laid an excellent Resin Driveway for us, we saw an excellent job they did locally and contacted them for a quote. A friendly and helpful guy called Steven came round and discussed our options and came up with a good design. The guys that laid it did a good job and we were very pleased with the finish. The cost was a competitive one too. Our only small moan was a communication one when the workmen didn't turn up on a day that they were supposed too and it took a number of phone calls from us to get a response. This is a small issue, the main thing was the quality of the drive which we are very happy with.

Just had a job completed by Diamond Paving Essex. Never used them before but they sounded very friendly and knowledgeable. Work completed by Adam. Kept me fully informed on products to be used and methods employed. Quote accepted and date fixed. Time of arrival pretty spot on especially as the job was in Maidstone Kent and he came from Bedford. Block Paving that was laid in 2000 and last cleaned (only) in 2015 Jet washed, re-sanded and sealed over 2 days. Now I've got a new looking drive. All left neat and tidy, even took the mud and dirt away in bags. At all times Adam was polite and courteous, especially as this was during the Covid 19 crisis. He even brought his own mask and sanitiser. Top job. Best trade call I could have made. Thank you Mark Krendel. Diamond Driveways renewed our rather tired patio. The work was completed to the agreed schedule and budget. From the outset we were impressed by the professionalism of the organization from planning the job, making suggestions as to the materials we were considering (which involved us changing our minds and achieving a better result!). The team on the project worked very hard from start to finish. they left us with a tidy site at the end of each day and completely cleaned up at the end. Communication with Paul and Dariusz worked very well throughout. We are very happy with the result and have had value for money delivered as promised.

Diamond Driveways have just completed the paving in the front of our house. They sourced used bricks to match what we had before, and Chris took great trouble in matching and making sure we were happy. The boys that laid the paving worked incredibly hard and were cheerful and did an amazing job. We would thoroughly recommend Diamond Driveways, and we would use them again.

Right from our first contact with Diamond Driveways we were impressed. Steven Lewis was our first point of contact and we immediately felt at ease. He listened to what we wanted and came up with a number of suggestions to improve our plan. He gave us a comprehensive list of the work and materials required and gave us a very reasonable quote for the job. Due to needing planning permission (a retaining wall was required to raise the floor level), we had to wait a few months to start the project but once it was started, again we have been impressed. Darius and his team have done a wonderful job! Although not always on site Darius was a regular visitor (as was Steven), checking his guys work and suggesting further alterations to enhance the final look. These changes did add to the original price but this was clearly communicated and agreed with us. It did take a few days longer than originally planned but I have to say it was well worth it!

This company is truly amazing, I have never had such a personal service! My new patio was completed in 6 days which I never though would of been possible! When I first made contact Steve came round to my house a few days later and spent an hour with me designing my patio. He gave great advice and knew what he was talking about, he even said my original idea was far too big! I had to wait for the work to start but trust me these guys are worth the wait! Darius and the lads dug up (all kinds of stuff including a suitcase) and gave me a new patio in 6 days, considering the size of the area I didn't think it would be been possible. Darius and the lads were clean and tidy and worked non stop to get the job done. They arrived at 7:45 each morning to start work at 8, which I found very impressive as they had to cross the Dartford Crossing everyday! The patio itself ended up costing more than estimated, however I was always kept informed about this. I can not recommend these guys enough. Brilliant service!

Had a new driveway and front brick wall installed by Diamond driveways and they certainly live up to the name.Elliot was so friendly and helpful when visiting to quote for the work (and an Arsenal supporter which pleased my son no end)From the first day, I have never known men to work so hard.The job was completed in less than three days and I am so happy with the quality and finish.I would definitely recommend this company to everyone.They were real diamonds.

New resin bound driveway which included new steps and kerb stones round the flower beds. An excellent team of men led by Sorin who keeps checking with you to ensure everything ok. Our initial contact was with Stephen who took the time to explain the various choices and options fully. The block driveway was completed to an exceptional standard by the hard-working and very professional team led by John Twinley. They worked efficiently, with a minimum of fuss and mess and cleared up meticulously at the end. They were unfailingly courteous and helpful and I have no hesitation to recommend this company.

Work included provision of aco drainage where required, kerb stones around all flowerbeds and a single row of block paving around the perimeter of the whole area. All work was done to a high specification and standard. Any small changes requested were acted upon without any fuss. All the staff of Diamond Driveways including Elliot, the sales director, and all the workmen were without exception hard working, pleasant and accommodating. A great job done with which we are very pleased.

Within two days our new driveway was complete. The finished work looks amazing and they even make sure that the manhole cover blends in. I can't say enough good things about Diamond. Let's start with Steve, their Director. While other people who gave quotes were fairly disinterested and went through the motions, Steve was attentive and knowledgeable. He is also incredibly personable, goes the extra mile as well as being clearly passionate about his work and what the company does. We were also supplied with lots of references which we were free to go and look at. Ultimately, the proof is in the quality of workmanship which is superb. Our gardener has independently said that it's the highest quality workmanship he has ever seen on a driveway. We have just had a resin bound driveway completed by Diamond and cannot recommend them highly enough. Elliot who came around to give us a quote was extremely friendly, courteous and knowledgable and showed us plenty of colour samples (which another company I had previously approached did not have). John, who project managed the job, and his team were absolutely fantastic. They all worked so hard, the organisation of arrival of materials and equipment was organised like clockwork and they left our cul-de-sac tidy every evening. To no surprise this team left us with a superb new driveway which is finished to the highest standard and we are so pleased with.

Diamond Services didn’t do a good job, they did a GREAT job! This project has been over 5 years in the planning with several failed attempts to agree a contract with other companies. Steve Lewis, Paul Rodin and their team of workers at Diamond Services Ltd. have delivered a fantastic end result despite having to negotiate with the owners of 5 flats...repeatedly! They are patient and enthusiastic and stuck with us to the end. The price was fair and the owners of the flats in the building are all very happy. I found them on Which? Trusted traders and would wholeheartedly recommend them to others.

These guys are outstanding! Jonathan, Gio, Martin, Radek and team are fantastic. By far the most courteous builders I have ever worked with. They are like Ronseal - they do exactly what they said on the tin (and some!!). Very refreshing for a builder to turn up when they promised and get the work done to a very high standard to budget and timescales. The communication all the way through the project was great. We have been wanting to do our drive for a very long time but were not convinced either by any of the people who quoted us or any of the work we saw locally. That was until Diamond Services did a drive for one of our neighbours - they were organised, fast, solid working and a fantastic final drive - so good we decided to copy it. Paul came to our home - discussed all the options to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted - and the best bit - the price was right for us! John and his team turned up punctually everyday, were polite, worked really hard, kept everything as tidy as possible bearing in mind all the old concrete had to be dug up and taken away - and when we threw a spanner into the works and told them they needed to finish a day earlier than we originally discussed they simply said okay, and doubled the team on the last day to get it done in time. No fuss, no argument - just over and above helpful attitude to accommodate our need. Totally thrilled with the finished drive and would most definitely recommend this company.

I couldn't be more pleased with the work that Diamond Services did. Their work ethic, quality, craftsmanship and professionalism exceeded all my expectations. From the beginning of the process, where we given a very good quote, taken through the designs, and walked through the process - to John and his team who worked diligently (powered by coffee) in three days to transform what was a building site, into a stunning bricked driveway - the entire street has been complimenting. Quality of work is great; looks great; they made suggestions for improvement, which we accepted. We paid more and got more, but the finished job is better than what we originally asked for. Job was started almost a week early and we were blown away that they finished in only three days.

We decided to use Diamond Services after reading the reviews and seeing pictures of their work. The front of our house needed a lot of ground work and the road we live on is a busy one, with no parking facilities. Diamond Services sent us a fabulous team of men who coped with our demanding location! They are top of their game and turned up on time every morning, worked through the day and left the workplace tidy every evening. Our pavement was hosed down each night before they left, an impressive touch. The speed with which they worked was incredible and as a result, we have a beautiful resin bound driveway and we are so thrilled with it. The men were helpful, professional and polite throughout. Diamond Services were excellent at every stage when turning our tired and aged front garden into smart off-street parking. Steven Lewis (Design Director) visited us promptly and gave great advice and style tips - even suggesting that the company transplant an established shrub that was too nice to lose. The workforce who came to do the physical graft were experienced, polite at all times and really hard working. The end result is excellent and has transformed the front of our property.

I had a driveway laid and am totally satisfied with the service provided. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this firm. The work was done on the agreed date, to the agreed price, and looks great. Despite a lot of groundwork needing to be done to remove existing frontage, the job was completed in a day and a half. The team, led by Simon, arrived promptly, were very hard working and professional, and left the site immaculate.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING ! 100 sm of drives & paths completed and the finished article is simply breathtaking. This was a huge job as my house is curved & included triple drive & all pathways circling my house, with many angles and borders to consider. I also had 35 metres of raised curb bricks to circle my 5 large shrub beds. Jonathan Apple gave me an excellent price- plus unlike others who underestimated the volume of work, & correctly measured the complicated area, thus I was confident with the price. I also trusted the many reviews I had read confirming this company so booked my work. On the day a minute past 8am the boys & John the foreman arrived - Two solid days to dig out & remove all the old blocks and debris. As a retired Prosecution Solicitor & Crown Advocate, I am a nightmare to work for. I am incredibly picky & a control freak ! John completely reassured me & brought his second gang along for the laying of the paving for the next two days. These lads worked from 8am to gone 6pm & just never stopped ! They were the politest lads I've ever met. One night my garage springs decided to break & these lads would not go home & leave me on my own without making sure the garage closed - even though it wasn't their problem. Such service! On time, efficient, organised, polite, tidy and genuinely hard working, Jonathan and his team served up a perfect front drive and side return of clay pavers in just 2.5 days.
