The quote, over the phone, to install a dishwasher (which I already had) and take away the old one seemed a little high but I like to support local business. The final invoice, sent after the bill was, paid included 'delivery of appliance' and ' removal and recycling of packaging'. Neither of these were asked for or needed. When I queried this I was told it was a standard installation quote. No other explanation or resolution was offered. Although I did accept the quote over the phone I consider this to be sharp practice, misleading the customer into paying a higher price.

Prompt appointment: engineer came earlier than planned (by arrangement). Quickly diagnosed the problem: rectified in fifteen minutes and phoned later to check that the leak had not recurred after a heavy washing load. Excellent service, would recommend.

I called Domestec when my dishwasher broke and they promptly sent and engineer but unfortunately it was not viable to repair it. They then sourced, delivered and fitted a replacement for me. Firstly, everyone I dealt with at the company was very friendly, helpful and efficient which is always great. The office team were fantastic and sourced a like for like machine and looked into another specific model for me - all very quickly. Communication was great - regular and very clear. I also thought the pricing was extremely fair - the call out fee is cut if they're unable to repair the machine, or if you opt to buy a new machine through them that fee rolls over and covers the installation as well. Really sensible and reasonable. The two engineers who came to fit the new machine were polite, on time, and really efficient and tidy. The whole experience was excellent - I'm not someone who normally writes reviews, but I was so pleased with their whole approach that I really wanted to share my thoughts. I would absolutely use this company again and will certainly be recommending them.

Exceptional service with an extremely professional engineer who kept me informed of the progress of my washing machine repair. Extremely good value for money too.

A local contractor had already checked our faulty hotpoint fridge freezer and said there was an issue with the control panel but would need to be plugged into a laptop to diagnose which they couldn't do so my girlfriend contacted Domestec who stated they could fix hotpoint machines but when engineer arrived he took 20 minutes and then said it was the control panel (we had already stated this) and that they could not fix this as it would have to be done by hotpoint direct. So effectively we were charged £70 to be told what we already knew and were no further forward. When I contacted Domestec they said they would look into it and call me back but never received a call. I used them as they were a Which trusted trader but would look elsewhere in future (BTW Hotpoint came out very quickly supplied a new panel, installed it and provided 6 months warranty for £120).

Simon turned up early! Domestec was the third company we had booked as the first one cancelled due to sickness and the second one couldn't come for a week. We chose them because they are local and they promised a quick response. Delighted to meet and chat to Simon, very knowledgeable and so helpful! He explained what he was doing every step of the way and even advised on our oven display not working. I feel reassured that there is someone we can turn to when an appliance stops working - I'm almost looking forward to something else breaking so he can come back!

Technician arrived on time, quickly assessed the problem. He replaced the element, tested the oven and had finished the work in 15 minutes. The price was as promised, very good value. The technician was polite and I felt comfortable with him in my house.

Very helpful service on the phone when booking the job. Engineer turned up on time. Very polite and helpful. Fixed fault in 15 minutes. All good 10 out of 10. Machine now working well.
