Edge Fencing

We’ve used Edge Fencing on two occasions, most recently to repair a section of fence damaged in a storm. As before, we were very happy with both the service and the work, from start to finish. Andrew responded quickly to our enquiry, coming round to quote within a few days, and then completing the work in a timely and professional manner. What impressed us particularly was how they managed to fit the work in, to meet our own requirements, even when another job down the road was taking longer than expected. So again, a big thank you to Andrew and his team for your excellent work.

Andrew came and checked the damage and explained what was needed, emailed a written quote the same day which was very reasonable. They repaired a storm damaged fence post and fence and replaced a panel damaged by vandals and tidied up. Andrew also adjusted my garden gate which I can open and close with ease now, (and for no charge). I know this was only a small job but from start to finish their professional and friendly attitude is so refreshing nowadays. I will certainly come back to Edge for any and all future works and will recommend them to friends and family as a matter of course.

During the bad weather just before Xmas one of my fences broke and fell into my neighbours garden. I called Andrew and he responded immediately and agreed to look at it the very next day even though he had technically closed for the Xmas break. He arrived and straight away gave a very fair and reasonable quote to repair the damage. While he was here he also made a temporary fix so that my neighbour did not have a problem. He said he would attend and carry out the work on the first day back after Xmas. As promised he arrived promptly at 9am with his team in the rain and carried out the necessary repairs in very quick time and left absolutely no mess whatsoever. Such good service is very rare nowadays and I really cannot speak highly enough of Andrew’s company and he will be the first person I will be calling for any other garden work I need doing.

We contacted Edge Fencing as they are a Which? Trusted Trader. We needed four replacement concrete posts and 14 fence panels. Andrew visited us the next day and sent a detailed written quotation that evening. The price was competitive and we felt comfortable with Andrew - he obviously knew all about fencing, asked good questions, answered our queries clearly and was very professional in his approach, so we placed our order. Andrew and a workmate arrived on schedule, explained exactly what they would be doing and asked us about various points as the work progressed. They went to considerable effort to ensure that our replacement fence was installed correctly. The work was invoiced as per quotation. Highest quality work from Andrew and his team. 17 panel back garden fence replacement with Jackson 25 year warranty. Additional 3 front fence posts replaced. Felt applied to garden shed roof. Partial landscaping of rear garden with levelling of garden and turf laid over 30 meters of lawn. Delivered to price, quality and time in incredibly bad weather conditions. It is really good workmanship, I expect to use this company again.

After previously satisfactory work completed I approached Andrew for further fencing repairs in rear garden. Price quoted on 14th January was reasonable so instructed to proceed. Work carried out despite difficult (heavy frost) conditions very promptly on 17th January with minimal disruption and fuss. Would use Andrew again and can definitely recommend Edge Fencing.

We contacted Andrew as we had a large, old patio area which required total renovation of both the slabs and brick work and needed to be made safe. He arranged to call and inspect within a few days and provided an estimate a few days later. It was made clear to us that due to his workload he wouldn't be able to start the work for several weeks. Jackson's fencing material was used and, together with the extremely hard work of the installers, has produced an excellent result at a reasonable price. The team were polite guests on our property who respected our advancing years and gave us no problems at all. The garden was left tidy. All work was completed on time and to budget.

Andrew and the Edge team carried out a transformational fence and gate installation for our cottage garden. Despite the challenges of the garden and they were extremely efficient, tidy, and delivered to the original quotations and timings

The work needed was assessed and discussed the week prior to starting the job securing a long line of garden fence and making repairs to the fences damage by the recent storm. The assessment felt fair without creating excessive work and costing. The plan was clear and it was comforting to see the prep which was clearly transparent on the nature of work to be carried out. This made it easy to discuss our concerns and the preferred positions of the concrete posts. If at all possible we preferred to have the concrete posts fixed on the back of the fences outside the view of the garden. The job was slightly difficult as the ground behind the fence sloped downwards. Mr. Shannon managed to complete the work as requested and we are delighted. He likes his cups of tea and comes with his own kettle. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Great to deal with, starting with helpful advice at quote stage. It was in an awkward place, but they did an excellent job without any grumbles. Amazingly efficient, and top quality materials used. They were cheerful, polite, and left everywhere clean and tidy.

We had a bit of fencing that was in great danger of falling down. Edge Fencing came along and quoted for the job. We picked Edge Fencing as they were competitively priced and able to come along within our timescale to complete the job. On the day of the job, they turned up at the agreed time and were extremely reassuring. They removed all existing fittings and replaced them with new. They replaced two rotten posts and a very twisted gatepost, reusing our existing fence panels and gate. At the end of the job they tidied up after themselves and took all of the rubbish away.
