Terry visited our property on 23rd June to inspect a flat roof over an extension. It had been installed in 1981 and had long exceeded its 20 year guarantee. He was very thorough in his investigation, patching up a small area which was vulnerable. His explanation of what was wrong and what he could do was clear and comprehensive, including the possible replacement of deck boards. He also warned us of possible hazards. This was followed up by a written quotation for the work, which was undertaken on 24th July. He and his colleague worked hard all day to get the roof finished, including the replacement of the deck boards. They were thoroughly professional, polite and courteous throughout. We are very pleased with the completed roof, which has already withstood extremely heavy downpours, is draining well and looks aesthetically good, and now has a 20 year guarantee. Terry was great from start to finish. I asked Terry to come over and look at a shared flat roof which was leaking on both mine and my neighbours side. Terry was amazing from start to finish, was originally going for a fibreglass roof but after looking into single ply decided that this would fit more with our build. Due to the location of the extension, we had lots of different falls to consider and Terry was at the end of the phone willing to talk to other builders on site and ensured a perfect fall that even building control was happy with. Work was done quickly and we were happy to wait a few weeks to be fitted in as after speaking to other companies we knew it was Terry we wanted to use.

The 13-year old flat roofs on our 2 large dormers with traditional roofing felt were showing signs of deterioration (missing granite chipping and swelling) and so required renovation. Of the 4 quotes I obtained from different roofers, I chose Terry Kent of Fibre-Tech Flat Roofing from Canvey Island to take on the project, based on the company’s expertise in installing the more durable single ply Soprema roofing membrane , and a reasonably priced job estimate that Terry had finalised with a detailed second site survey. Terry and his team mate Colin worked diligently and efficiently for 3 and a half consecutive days in all weather conditions to install the new roofing membrane that was laid down on a rebuilt warm deck. On completion, a 20-year warranty certificate was also promptly issued. Throughout the quotation and installation processes, Terry was prompt with the work schedule and communicative with the relevant information in a succinct, client-friendly manner, being consistently courteous and patient in explaining any technical details. He was clear and decisive on emergent issues (reconstruction of the warm deck, refurbishing the rain gutter and alterations to the ridge tiles); a minor leaks in the rain gutter that developed after the installation were also swiftly remedied. I am very happy the project overall and will certainly be considering the service from Fibre-Tech Flat Roofing again for future jobs on our flat roofs.

Fibre Tech Roofing removed an asbestos roof on a garden shed and replaced it with a new roof. The person who replaced our roof was called Terry. He was punctual, he worked hard and he did exactly what he said he would do when he quoted us for the work. I would highly recommend using this company.

Terry replaced the flat roofs on my elderly mothers house. My mother has some health issues (a little deaf and Parkinsons) and she can get anxious about anything new or out of her routine. Terry was great, very communicative, took his time ensuring she was comfortable and understood what was going to happen, when and why and answering all her questions. He made what could have been a source or anxiety and stress for her something enjoyable - especially having some people around to fuss over. The work was tidy, efficient and quick and of high quality to boot.

Terry & Colin replaced the leaky felt roof on my extension with his single-ply PVC system. The old roof was removed, reboarded and recovered in little more than 2 days, including new guttering. I used Terry from Fibre Tech Roofing to replace my polycarbonate conservatory roof with a solid, insulated roof. When he came round initially, he seemed very knowledgeable, and explained clearly to me everything that he would need to do. This is why I chose him to do the work over other companies. Unfortunately, the week he was scheduled to start, the forecast was for a lot of rain! In fact on the second day, Terry and James (who works with him) had removed the roof first thing, and were busy fixing the frame for the new roof when it started to ‘hammer it’ down with rain! Fortunately they had the very thick, waterproof roofing material, they would be using later, to hand, and really quickly managed to get this as a temporary cover, over my conservatory! Great ingenuity! After that, things went to plan, and Terry and James worked so hard, even staying till 7p.m. on the last day, to get the new, plastered ceiling all painted for me before they left. They also constructed a verandah, attached very cleverly to the side of the conservatory, which is just what I wanted. I would have no hesitation in recommending Fibre Tech Roofing. They did a brilliant job.

Terry provided a very prompt quote, even contacting me whilst he was on holiday to arrange a site visit to inspect the problem. His initial approach and solution specification inspired confidence so it was not difficult to accept his reasonable quote. The job has been done very neatly and efficiently despite it being one of the coldest days of the winter. Terry also attended to another problem on the roof at no extra cost.

Garage started to leak putting items stored in it at risk. Terry was very quick to visit and to try a temporary repair until something more permanent could be scheduled. When the temporary repair started to fail due to the volume of rain, Terry was very understanding and managed to rearrange other jobs so that my garage could be permanently re-roofed much quicker than planned. The work was completed in two days. It was done cleanly and efficiently with a skip arranged so the old materials can be disposed of responsibly.

Fibre tech ( Terry and Andy ) Hired to replace flat roof and cladding across a two room dormer. Terry was very professional and gave lots of choices to suit lots of budgets. With samples to look at and choose. They brought work forward for me as my old dormer was leaking quite bad, and did extra repairs ( I had been “ripped off “ by a previous roofing company , who dealt with the roof tiles).
