Finethorp is a family-run domestic refurbishment contractor based in South West London.
We undertake high specification work for private clients in and around Central and SW London.
The works we undertake range from new boilers and bathrooms up to full renovation and extension of houses. We have loyal and committed clients many of whom we work for year after year.

On time, on schedule and on budget; what a real joy to have Oli and his team doing the work for us. They coped without any fuss when faced with shambolic building work completed in the sixties. Over the past 6 months Finethorp have completely removed and replaced our roof, re-modelled the top floor of our house, installed a new heating system, a Loxone smart home system and overseen the installation of Solar panels and air-conditioning through-out the the house. We have used Oliver and his team on various projects for over 5 years now. Whilst Finethorp was not the lowest quote we received for this job the thoroughness of the quote, pointing out omissions in the plans and liaising with the architects the attention to details is one of the main reasons we use Finethorp. This is phase one of a larger project but we are extremely pleased with the outcome so far. The new roof looks amazing, an exact replica of the old one in a conservation area, beautiful lead work on the new dormers, but now upgraded with high tech insulation and soundproofing. The integration of Loxone smart technology is already reducing our power consumption improved the heating of the house through better control. The team worked well with our neighbours ensuring minimal disruption to them and communicating with them in our absence to ensure good relationships were maintained throughout the works. The project was kept on time by Oli and within the original price for the works originally agreed - the discovery of some hidden issues during demolition were discussed and resolved at a newly agreed price before moving on to the next stages. We will definitely be using Finethorp again

We have had numerous jobs completed by Finethorp ranging from heating system maintenance to structural repairs and refurbishment. The most recent project is renovation of our period living room and bedroom including installing a Dinesen solid oak floor in Herringbone pattern, replacing a period plasterwork ceiling and installing wooden panelling. We have also had the room re-wired and new fireplaces installed in both rooms with the preparation carrried our by Finethorp. Finethorp provide accurate quotes, completes work on schedule and throughout a project the site is maintained in a clean and tidy condition. Attention to detail and knowledge of period properties is a reason we now use Finethorp for all our projects, when something we want to do may not be the best way to approach a particular task Oli and the team propose well thought out solutions and if they spot a potential problem we weren’t aware of they make us aware and get it fixed. We couldn’t be more pleased with Oli and his team.

I had the central heating system changed from electricity to gas. From the outset Finethorpe were professional, thoughtful and were willing to work with me to ensure what I wanted was paramount. The clarity they provided was outstanding, their quotation was broken down to include every aspect of the works. Their communication was even better - Polly spoke with me regularly and gave me access to their works portal which showed exactly what was happening with photos uploaded to the site so that I could see progress. This was important to me as I was not in London at the time. I felt I was in safe hands.

I have had several jobs done by Finethorp, most recently the conversion of a small flat including electrical work, plumbing, heating, putting in new partitions and a kitchen. Oli and his company have become indispensable to us, offering sound advice and excellent workmanship. Not the cheapest quote but the systems he and his team install work without fail. I have found that a job done right means far less maintenance requests from tenants. I also appreciate their back up and trust him as a key holder.

Oliver and his team at Finethorp help us scope out and then fit a Honeywell Evohome heating and hot water automation system. This entailed replacing valves on all radiators, replacing underfloor thermostats and controller units, and rewiring the boiler and hot water controls. Oliver was one of the best tradespeople I’ve ever had the pleasure to engage. He is extremely knowledgeable about heating systems, went the extra mile to make sure everything was working (eg installed a dedicated WiFi router to ensure the system worked flawlessly, rewired the entire system “just in case”), is very responsive (both before and after the installation, to ensure we had the system work seamlessly) and was polite and efficient. The entire install took a single day. I would recommend him and his team to anyone.
