G. Hill & Sons are the most professional, efficient and friendly team you could hope to meet. Gordy and his team arrived when they said they would to take detailed measurements of our drive and to understand exactly what we wanted. He also understood and explained what was not required. As our drive had been down for 50 years he said it was fully compacted and we didn't need to waste money digging it all up and starting again. Rather, he recommended rebuilding the few damaged areas and then resurfacing over the top of the whole drive, cutting in to provide the brick edging that we wanted. Quicker, cheaper and less mess! His visit was followed up by a detailed quotation showing exactly what work and materials would be provided. The team of 8 arrived promptly on Monday morning and hardly stopped for more than a few minutes at lunchtime until they completed the job on Wednesday. Every one of the team was friendly, polite and respectful both of our property and also of our neighbours' property. The end result exceeded our expectations in every way and everybody around us has commented not just on the drive but also on the professionalism of the workers. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We have a garage and they ensured that we had a slope to access the garage easily and dealt with an oil pipe with the care it needed. The turning area is a massive plus for us. When the team had finished it looked amazing and this has made such a difference to the way our house looks. No more puddles and endless weeding of the driveway. G Hill carried out the retarring of my driveway. They were quick to respond to the enquiry and gave a good price estimate. They were able to carry out the work soon after the quotation . I read many of the previous reviews on this site, and I feel at a loss to know what to add to all those glowing accounts... The large team worked together in a way which could only be described as choreographed, and although I had expected the large drive resurfacing to take many days, it was completed very quickly. This is what experienced teamwork looks like! Gordon, at all stages of the process, was direct, informative and responsive. I would unreservedly recommend this family company.

G Hill and son recently laid a new resin driveway for me. The prep work took a day and saw a large team arrive first thing and get the job done super quick. The completely cleared all mess away and prepared the drive for the 2nd team who came a few days later to lay the resin. I'd expected the resin to take a full day, but again due to the number of people working it was completed in a matter of hours. Gordon's men repaired and resurfaced our long driveway a year or so ago and carried out routine maintenance quickly and efficiently. I would heartily recommend them.

We needed our tarmac driveway repaired as a section of it, around 2 feet x 2 feet had badly sunk. We contacted Gordon Hill for a quotation, having been recommend by friends at my bowls club who sang their praises as a reputable local family run business. Mr Hill came the same day we had called him to evaluate the work. Mr hill was very friendly and explained exactly what needed to be done in a way that put us at our ease and confident to use them. We received the quote that evening which was very impressive. We found the quote to be competitive and a date was set to carry out the work which was to retarmac a strip of our driveway approximately 3 feet wide and just over 2 car lengths long. Around 6 workmen arrived, and it was so impressive, they all had a role, and it was nonstop organised professional work. They completed the first stage of removing the existing tarmac and base in a morning and returned the next day to lay the top layer of tarmac. Throughout the whole job Mr Hill’s team, the majority being family members, were courteous, friendly, and professional and they left everything clean and tidy. We are so impressed with this company, from the speed of receiving the quotation to have the work carried out and completed to such a high standard. Great family business, we will without question use them again and would definitely recommend them.

Gordon came and looked at the job, listened to my requirements, explained what was needed and what work would be done, provided a quote and time frame. Once everything was agreed, he and his team arrived as arranged, completed the work in two days to a good standard.

Gordon and his team did an amazing job with our drive. It was in a very poor state and so we have had a resin finish done by him and his associate company. They enlarged the drive area, did a lot of prep work and were always very tidy and meticulous with the work. The finish is excellent, and i am very happy to now have a house with great "curb appeal". All the guys who worked on the job were very polite and friendly, and l would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for this type of work to be completed.

Gordon and family widened and resurfaced my tarmac drive.They had a big team who each knew what to do and had an impressive range of heavy equipment to hand. The work was high standard and professional and they worked hard. I was very happy with their attention to detail and willingness to adapt to the odd minor snags that arose. Overall very pleased with the result and would recommend them to anyone.

We we needed our driveway and shared drive resurfacing as the original tarmac had been down for over 35 years and was in a very poor state. We had no hesitation in approaching this company for quotes which were done very professionally and promptly. Once we had agreed to the works, a date was set and the initial works carried out. At the same time, they reset some of the edging bricks and removed a tree root which had raised part of the old drive. Unfortunately the weather intervened, so the laying of the final surface was delayed by a couple of days. This was done very professionally and to a very high standard. Excellent service all round.

G Hill has a very good reputation in this area, and I had several recommendations to use them before making contact, plus they had done my neighbours resin drive and did a fantastic job. Needless to say, they did a great job on my driveway too. No mess, and a super smooth finish. I would definitely used them again.
