It's nice to meet skilled tradesmen who do what they promised to do, on time and at the exact price that was quoted. They are just a joy to work with, friendly and totally professional. They even tidied up a messy earth wire from a previous heating job so it "looked right". What a breath of fresh air to have people you can trust to turn up, and do a fantastic job with no hassle! Our mum and dad also had a great experience during their fitting, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is looking for a stylish, functional garage door from a firm they can trust.

From the moment I contacted Gary to the instalment of the door I found him very professional indeed. He turned up on time to give the quote. He kept me Informed of the progress of the factory ordered door. He gave me the fitting day and gave me a call around 1 hour before arrival so I was well prepared to give him access. The fitting of the garage door went smoothly and he left the area clean and tidy. He then gave me a practical step by step on the best way to open/close and lock the door. Both my wife and I struggled with our old garage door as we found it hard to open and close. Our family arranged for Gary & John from GDS to come and have a look. Both lads were exceptional; we chose which door would be best suited to our needs and which would look great on the house. The lads measured everything with such precision and were totally professional. The installation was a breeze; they worked like Trojans and never left one fragment of mess. We now have a fantastic finished automatic sectional door and at a great price. It’s so high-quality that my daughter and son-in-law have arranged for GDS to replace their garage door as well. Arrived today after waiting weeks for manufacturer to deliver the door. Worth the wait, the quality of the motor and door are top class. The installation was first class by Gary and his assistant, could not be more pleased.

As I have a disability and find it hard to walk in and out my front door I decided to have a remote controlled garage door fitted. I checked out local company's to fit one and have to say how happy and grateful I am I choose G.D.S. From first phone call inquiry to completion of work Gary was an exceptional courteous and hard working professional. He came promptly to access and measure up, helped me choose the best door for me (not just the most expensive) and gave me a very competitive price. When we ordered he gave us a time frame for delivery and fitting which he kept to. On the day of fitting Gary and his assistant John turned up promptly at the time agreed and proceeded to work efficiently and methodically and tidied up as they went along the even disposed of the old garage door for me I cannot recommend G.D.S And Gary highly enough I have left this review for a month to see how things went with the door and I am extremely happy with the product thank you so much Gary.

Needed to replace old up and over garage door after 30+ years service. Cousin recommended GDS as he had used them. Gary visited us, measured up, advised us to have folding electric door. Wanted a new sectional electrically operated garage door. After reading Which reviews sent an e-mail to Garage Door Services, Cumbria. Within 5 minutes received a telephone call from Gary. We arranged a visit to discuss an installation and cost. He arrived on time on the day. After a very helpful input from him we chose a door and system and he gave us a costing which was very reasonable. Arranged for the System to be ordered and fitted on it’s delivery to him. He subsequently contacted us and arranged an installation date. Arrived on time with his colleague and immediately set about removing the old door and replacing it with the new one. The matter was completed in less than a day. All rubbish and the old door with woodwork was taken away. The site being left clean and tidy. He explained how the system operated, how to maintain the system and should we have any issues to contact him immediately. Both Gary and his colleague were very helpful and pleasant. The new door installation was excellent with well fitted UPVC covering the unsightly brickwork and soffitt openings. In spite of the fact that I know steel components costs have risen, the price first quoted was that invoiced. Can highly recommend this Company

We needed to have a new garage door fitted as part of the condition of the sale of our house and Gary was fantastic from the moment we contacted him, after being badly let down by the first person we asked. Gary was friendly, helpful and very understanding of the situation. We ordered a new door through him and paid for the fitting before moving out, then Gary liaised with the new owners to arrange installation. The photo he has sent of the fitted door looks terrific, just wish we had contacted him in the first instance. Excellent communication throughout the process - now just need to get the door at our new house sorted!

Superb service from start to finish. First Gary advised me of some simple checks that might have solved the problem - hence potentially saving me money. And then when those didn't fix the problem, scheduling a quick appointment. Gary arrived on time, explained the diagnostic process and the resulting diagnosis. Gary then replaced the faulty controller, and explained to me how to use the new controls. He left with my thanks, and I have a nicely working garage door.

Gary did an excellent job at installing our new garador and all the modern iphone app applications. He was very professional and communicated with us at every step. He was very pleasant and respectful and nothing was too much trouble. An adaptor was not sent by the company which he sourced by next day delivery. I cannot thank the young man enough for his help today. He guided me through the reprogramming of my automatic garage door via mobile, so saving me a lot of money for an on-site visit.
