Having used Garage Wizards twice I highly recommend them. The first time a fault was quickly identified and a new spring ordered and replaced. The second time the electric motor was replaced, which required alterations to the boom length. All the work was done quickly and tidily.

I recently had a new roller door supplied and installed by Garage door wizards I had emailed and spoken to Terry a couple of times and he was very helpful with his advice and flexible on dates and the communications was very good. On the day of installation, Terry and Richard arrived and installed the new door on time, with no issue and were both really polite and helpful. I phoned Garage Door Wizards Monday morning, the helpfull receptionist said the engineer would call me back, which he did in the afternoon. Visit arranged for the following afternoon. He arrived on time, gave us a reasonable estimate and did the job there and then, new cables and serviced all the mechanism. Very pleased, would use again.

Sent an enquiry via Garage Door Wizards website. Speedy and helpful reply received. Had them replace the springs in 2 up and over garage doors. GDW arrived exactly on time (what a refreshing contrast to most people) and carried out the repairs rapidly and were friendly and professional. Dealing with Garage Door Wizards has been a pleasure throughout. I contacted them for a quote to replace two ageing wooded doors with aluminum automatic roller doors. Terry Connolly replied promptly, provided valuable, factual information together with a budget price. He then attended to inspect the site and confirm the quotation, again providing useful information and no hard sell whatsoever. The new doors have now been installed with a complete absence of fuss, mess or drama - simply quality workmanship installing a high quality product efficiently and with excellent attention to detail. On 12 February 2021, I phoned for assistance to repair broken counter balance spring cables in my original 1970's garage door. Within an hour I had a call from Richard with a quote and date and time of the work schedule. On Saturday 13 February 2021at the time agreed Richard inspected the garage door and then carried out the repair of refitting the spring balance with new wire cables followed by a service and test. This work was undertaken to a high standard at a very reasonable cost. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this company for any related works.

Richard is friendly and really knows his job. Contacted on Tuesday and complete the garage door repair 2 days later. Very well priced and much cheaper than 2 other quotes. Really pleased to have found him & will definitely call him again.

Really happy with our new insulated garage roller door, they went out of their way to help with our decision & our many questions, thanks Terry. We were not pressured at all & in fact advised not to go with the more expensive door remote option, as we didn't need it. Also really pleased they took the old door away, so it was hassle free. I have a 1960's handmade wooden/glass door that needed servicing. How easy it would have been to have written off the old and replaced everything with new, but no Richard took the brief and appraised the job. His quote was very reasonable and he also provided the option of a motorised opener. We chose the motorisation and its given new life to an old, yet strong door making it totally serviceable. Our 30 year old up and over doors were on their last legs. Called these people in. Terry viewed doors and quoted their standard fee. I considered replacing doors and, to his great customer service credit, Terry gave me a figure (acceptable to me) but he said the service would make doors as good as new. He was right. The main spring, rollers and cables had all broken on my aluminium canopy garage door. Despite the door being 30+ years old, Garage Door Wizards were able to fit a new spring, along with new cables & guide rollers to get everything working again. I had a roll-up garage door badly fitted a few years ago which has been endless trouble. The motor provided was too small and failed. The hangers were not fitted symmetrically causing stress at one end of the roller and thus progressively failed. Garage Door Wizards corrected those things. All the previous faults damaged the door curtain and things began to fail again. I asked Garage Door Wizards to come in and quote for a whole new door as, amongst other inconveniences, I found myself drilling out the pop rivets of the cover so that I could get the door safely shut at at 10 o'clock at night and I was thoroughly fed up with the whole thing. Door Wizards could have sold me a whole new one but emphasised that I did not need a new door, just a new curtain. The real point of all this is that they could have very easily sold me a whole new door and thus made more money but they chose the honest route and I am impressed. They are definitely on my 'To be trusted' list.

Came out the next day to fix an up and over garage door. One of the wires had snapped. 2 new wires and a spring fitted and the door serviced. No complaints whatsoever. Would definitely recommend.

x2 Garage Doors needed realigning to ensure they opened and closed smoothly, plus both lock barrels needed replacing. Garage Door Wizards attended within hours of my initial call to survey the job. One door was jammed shut and I wasn't sure it could be repaired easily but I was very reassured by positive comments. Garage Door Wizards returned a week later with new parts, repaired and realigned both doors and fitted new locks - a very good job, very pleased with the service and end result. Our up and over Garage door has been faulty for several years now propped up with a stick! Having had several unhelpful and expensive quotes I call GDW last week. The manual winder and remote controls on my 12 year old garage door had failed. A call to GDW, and Richard came out, fixed the winder and then assessed what was needed to get the remote controls working. In this case a new control unit was needed. Parts duly ordered and fitted within the week. Garage door got stuck - cables had come off rollers. Phoned at 15.00 and spoke to a lady who said she would get somebody to call that day. Richard phoned at 16.15 and told me a cost and that he could be there within 30 minutes. On arrival was very pleasant, took time to replace the cables, and fully serviced the door mechanism and gave 1 year guarantee for work carried out. Overall great service which gave me peace of mind re being able to secure garage overnight. Thank you.

We encountered problems with our garage door locking and made contact via an email referral on the Tuesday evening and had an immediate response that evening to advise that Richard would call the following day (Wednesday). He text me prior to coming to visit to say he was on his way, whilst Richard was not able to fix the locking problem due to a mechanism fault, he went away, ordered the part and returned on the Friday afternoon as soon as the part was received to fit and resolve the Issue. He also emailed prior to returning to confirm how much the works would cost so I knew what to expect when the invoice arrived. Fully fixed locking garage door and happy customer. Following an unexpected failure of door mechanism which left the garage contents vunerable to theft and ultimately access into house a security problem, GDW swiftly and efficiently made a quick temporary fix which solved both of these issues until a replacement spring was supplied and fixed in the timescale and price quoted which they promised. Richard was able to come out a couple of days after I got in touch with Garage Door Wizards, and was very helpfully available in the evening. He was able to open our stuck garage door efficiently with no problem. He just got on with the job, made it good afterwards, and explained what he was doing throughout.

Im not one to write reviews normally, but when you get a local firm that is polite, competitive, punctual and professional - it should be endorsed and supported. I highly recommend them! I contacted the Garage Door Wizards on Tuesday morning. They got back to me later in the morning and came out to do a quote the same day. Garage door was then fixed by Thursday! I had thought my garage door would need a complete replacement, however Richard reassured us it was fixable and quoted us. I will reccomend this company to everybody as I am so impressed! One of the return springs broke on our garage door and we found Garage Door Wizards when we Googled the problem. We had an immediate call back despite it being the day at after New Year. They came out within 2 days and returned with replacement spring a couple of days later. Cannot recommend the service, price and work too highly. These guys are excellent. John R

I had a real problem accessing my garage when the electric doors (fitted by a different company a few years ago) failed. The original door on our estate house actually collapsed. Fortunately no damage to persons and vehicles! The mechanism on my manually operated up and over door got jammed and the roller wheel fell off. The door was stuck in an open position with my valuable possessions at risk. I called Garage Door Wizards and they came round to fix the issue within the same day. The door is also now a lot smoother to operate. I needed a reliable technician to fix the garage door at my parents house - they are 94. I live a long way away from March so had to rely on searching the internet. Contact garage door wizards as we had no key to open the main garage door after purchasing a new house, they were out the following day changing the lock on the door.

As everyone else has said a very good service and would recommend without hesitation. They know what they are talking about, don’t try and sell anything not needed. They gave us a cheaper option just to replace the door if we wanted and to keep the current motor. They arrived on time done within the 3 hours expected, cleaned up and explained the functions. If only all companies were as competent and as professional.

I have no hesitation in recommending Garage Door Wizards of Huntington if the electric motor on your roller garage door shows any signs of loss of power. When I reported this problem Richard Chandler quickly attended and surveyed the situation, recommending a replacement motor comparable to the 13 years old SOMFY motor which was not surprisingly worn out. Within a week of my first enquiry the replacement motor was satisfactorily fitted. I look forward to a few more years of trouble free operation before I need to call Garage Door Wizards again. I had enquirer with other local companies about getting a broken spring repaired and the best quote was for one spring at £145 + vat and done in two weeks. These guys quoted me both springs at £160 and if they had the spring there, could have done it that day. As they didn't, they ordered them in and fitted them within two days.
