We ordered a sectional garage door. It took a few months to arrive but the communication from George was clear and quick. George came over to do a quote - he was friendly and professional, as was the man who came to fit the door. Overall a really good service. The door is of high quality.

I recently purchased a manual up and over replacement garage door from Garage Doors Ltd in Harpenden. The whole process was easy from my initial contact to the site visit, quote and then placing the order. The work was completed within forty eight hours of actually finalising the order. Work on site was quick and the site was left clean. All in all I’m very pleased with the outcome.

Excellent service, came out and did a survey. Gave easy options, door was fitted within in a week and toòk just over an hour. Staff friendly and efficient. Use thus supplier, you won't regret it.

An unfortunate piece of parking lead to the demolition of our garage doors. As we live in a conservation area this meant a particular style of replacement was necessary. We contacted Garage Doors Ltd in Harpenden [among others] and they were really helpful from the first contact. They surveyed the site within a few days, understood the demands of the conservation area and came back with a quote, for almost identical doors, within days. The price was reasonable and they gave us a schedule that allowed for possible delays in getting specific materials [feature hinges and locks] and the Xmas break. Almost to the day, they matched that schedule. On the agreed completion date their fitter arrived [spot on time] and by lunchtime that day he had re-framed the space and hung the doors perfectly. Moreover he cleaned the site and removed all the rubbish. This was a professional, efficient service that was impressive and satisfying. Would definitely recommend!

Contacted Garage Doors (London) Ltd on the strength of the prior reviews. Had an initial visit from one of the fitters who measured up, upon receiving an informal quote via email I queried the details and was advised by Keith he would send 'one of his best fitters' to double check. A week later another visit from his fitter to measure up again, who at the time seemed to be knowledgeable and provide recommendations that were understandable. A revised price was sent over email, with a request for a 50% deposit payment. However, there seemed to be reluctance to provide a formal quotation or pro-forma invoice with the full work breakdown. Having made clear my understanding of the agreed work breakdown an invoice eventually was sent, though still rather fully on the detail. All the same payment was made. A month later the door has arrived from the factory and a fitter arrives on-site to install. This is where everything went totally downhill. The fitter complains that the door is too big for the opening. He has a copy of the email thread regarding the order and the detail of the work breakdown as I understood it to be (and wasn't contested at any stage prior). The whole encounter left me with little confidence with the company, trying to address the matter with their office was a nightmare and they didn't seem to care too much about the inconvenience caused. Eventually, my deposit payment was returned and doubt I will hear back from them again.
