Our experience with this company has been positive since we made first contact with them. At our initial discussions we were offered several options for our gates on the drive. One which we pursued was expensive, so an alternate was offered. Our requirements were listened to and accepted, the gate was ordered and installed at the agreed time. The team that installed it were prompt, polite, efficient and very professional, leaving the site spotless when they departed. All employees performed professionally and we have a great looking gate at a good price and delivered to our satisfaction.

I have requested a quote for an electric garage door, Graham and his team were really quick and flexible to arrange a survey and even recommended a different model that I originally thought of. This model suited my needs a lot better and was even cheaper than my original idea. As my renovation project encountered delays, so did the installation date. Graham was kind to keep the door in storage and was ready to have it installed within 4 days of notification. The installation was quick and clean, they have even swept up, and removed all rubbish and debris. The result looks and works great.

Garage Doors London have been great to deal with, from visiting their showroom on Harpenden, to the survey on my premises and finally today, carrying out the installation. Delivery time was a week faster than quoted, the installation was carried out on the day and time booked. All rubbish was removed including the old door. The team were excellent to deal with. The Hormann door is great bit of kit. Really I can't fault the product or service. Thanks.

Had a new garage door installed. The survey was thorough and professional. The installation itself was a bit earlier than expected considering I ordered a bespoke colour, but that was a bonus as far as I was concerned. The installation was carried out in a timely, expert fashion and the garage was left clean and good to go. To be honest, I can't fault this business, and that's saying something as I have gotten to be quite picky as I've gotten older! All members of the team were helpful, courteous and professional at all times. And communication was good throughout. I can't recommend them highly enough.

The visit to measure up and provide a quote was smooth and efficient, and following that w visited their showroom in Harpenden to reassure ourselves that the finished product was of the right quality. Keith gave us a reassuring assessment of the door, and on that basis we decided to go ahead. The fitting was earlier than expected, and the work was finished to a very high standard. I was especially impressed that the fitters told me that the job needed a small but important finishing touch, which was completed a few days later. We had a new garage door fitted and also a new side door into which the team transferred our existing cat flap. The team arrived in good time in the morning and I was impressed with their workmanship as well as the quality of the products. No issues or problems arose and the team were diligent and polite throughout. The same was true of the pre-sales process during which we were able to discuss the various options we had given the slightly tricky nature of the previous set up we had for the garage. Excellent experience from start to finish. The process of someone coming out to measure up and then place the order was straight-forward. We then only had to wait a few weeks for the doors to be available for fitting. On the day of fitting everything went very well, the guys on site were friendly, quick and tidy. They arrived first thing, installed 4 garage doors and were gone by mid afternoon. Overall a very positive experience and the new doors look great!

The service started with me calling and Nigel explaining what they can do. Nigel then came on the agreed date and was really informative and knowledgeable. I could feel that I was in good hands and he gave me some great ideas. Rhys then came to fit my garage doors and he was brilliant too. He was really polite and explained exactly what he would do and how . I am a wheelchair user and he went beyond his job to help clear a pathway to the garage. Once he had fitted it he spent time with showing me how to open and then got the settings perfect for me. He was really patient and just could not do enough to help. Supplied and installed Hormann 2002 up and over garage door in white with new steel frame to match. Very quick and clear responses to enquiries. Door installed exactly as quoted by a highly skilled workman on 7th working day following enquiry. Very satisfied with my experience with this company.

The model is Canopy Up&Over garage door manufactured by Novofern UK Ltd. The door was not installed properly by the builders a year ago but never worked properly from day one. It was difficult to open & close with a bang. It never stayed open. I had to use a stick to hold it up. I had to call a friend to help open & close the garage every time. I paid the builder for a new garage door. They subcontracted the door to a lousy installer who made a mess of the job. Builder said I was not tall enough & the door was too heavy for me to operate. ( I am 5ft 6inch 56kg & elderly) After a year without a functional garage, I found Garage Door London ltd. They have many happy customers, very well run, and quick response. They sent a surveyor to detail the repair work needed at their own expense. Their most experienced installer came. It took him 3 hrs to adjust the door, replace the mangled up cables and oil the bits. He even watched me open & close the door 3 times to make sure I can operate it easily, as I am elderly. The whole process took a week. It works like a dream, and I even get 2 weeks to settle their itemized invoice. All for a very reasonable price of £180. I would recommend this excellent company to anybody.

The team adjusted our garage door to automate the opening and closing of it. I visited the Garage Doors showroom at Batford Mill Harpenden viewed the various garage doors and the working mechanisms. Service and good advice from the sales staff fully explained the various garage door options with no pressure to purchase from the saleman. Choose the Hormann electric door with a texture finish the manufactured door was delivered in the time quoted. Mark the fitter arrived exactly on time and he explained the work he was to under take. Removed the old garage door and frame work without causing any damage to the brickwork. He then installed the mechanism/track connected the power and fitted the door. Works beautifully the installation is superb which is a testament to his workmanship. Many thanks again for a quality door and great workmanship.

We ordered a sectional garage door. It took a few months to arrive but the communication from George was clear and quick. George came over to do a quote - he was friendly and professional, as was the man who came to fit the door. Overall a really good service. The door is of high quality.

I recently purchased a manual up and over replacement garage door from Garage Doors Ltd in Harpenden. The whole process was easy from my initial contact to the site visit, quote and then placing the order. The work was completed within forty eight hours of actually finalising the order. Work on site was quick and the site was left clean. All in all I’m very pleased with the outcome.

Called them over Xmas to look at my roller garage door, they responded on 4 Jan (no one else did) and came out on 11 Jan to effect a simple repair. They warned me that the motor is not going to last and this eventually packed up 11 Feb. They came back on 15 Feb and replaced the motor. Very efficient and quick with their service.

The fitter was fantastic and appears to have done a great job - and he was cheerful and enthusiastic, which means a lot to a customer. I was very pleased with his work and with his can-do approach to getting over any difficulties in finding ways to support and set up the mechanism. I was also very grateful that he left the site spotlessly clean and had arrived for the job at the agreed time. The Hormann garage door is of beautiful quality.

The door fitter was very professional in manner and carried out the work to our complete satisfaction within a couple of hours. A good explanation of the procedure for locking and unlocking the garage was provided. The door appears to be of high quality and of very good value for the price charged.

Needed to replace my garage doors and after getting a wide array of prices from builders and carpenters I tried looking at companies that specialised in garage doors. Really glad I did, as I couldn't be happier with the new doors. They are much more secure than my previous timber doors and won't need any work on my part in the years to come. Unlike other vendors in this area, Garage Doors Ltd send someone round to do a free survey and take all the measurements required so you don't have to worry about this yourself. Although I think I am reasonable at DIY I was concerned about missing something important if I were measuring this myself but with these guys, I didn't have to. If you're having a frame built to order it better be right when it comes and thanks to their survey, it was! Spoke to George before the survey, he gave practical advice on what to consider with the purchase and this was reinforced by the chap who came to do the survey. He showed us samples of the material so my wife and I could make an informed decision about colour and design rather than only looking at pictures online. When the fitters arrived they were in and out in a few short hours. Both very pleasant and professional leaving no trace of the previous doors or any mess once the job was done. Price-wise they were very competitive too which was another plus. I can't recommend this company enough - if you are in the market for garage doors trust the people that do it for a living and give these guys a go.

The whole process has been seamless. After my 4 quotes, I decided to go with Garage Doors as they are a local company and I found Keith to be genuine and knowledgeable, although they were not the cheapest. The timescales provided were exactly how the works proceeded. After the initial deposit was paid, we received an installation date after 2 weeks. The fitters turned up on time, and within 3 hours I had a new fully functioning garage door. There was no damage to the surrounding area that I could see, even though we were expecting a significant amount. The guys gave me a run through with the remotes, the manual pully, and the fixed remote on the wall. Couldn't ask for more. Worth every penny!

We contacted Garage Doors as we wanted to upgrade both our front and garage door as part of the refurbishment works on our town house with regards to appearance and insulation. After discussing the options with Garage Doors, a survey was completed by one of the companies fitters who talked us through all of the options following which we placed an order. The doors were supplied and fitted as arranged in one day with no issues. We were particulary impressed in the way everything was kept clean and tidy during the work with all waste materials being cleared and taken away. The quality and finish of both the garage and front doors are outstanding. We would thoroughly recommend Garage Doors to anyone wanting a quality service.

Having just had a rather disastrous en-suite renovation complete the week before I was not in the mood for another home repair. However, the installation team showed up and within minutes it was clear they knew what they were doing. They had the job completed in a couple of hours and even tidied up and re-hung my bike rack - way above and beyond. I would go as far as to say this was the best, and easiest, home repair we've had done. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Contacted Garage Doors (London) Ltd on the strength of the prior reviews. Had an initial visit from one of the fitters who measured up, upon receiving an informal quote via email I queried the details and was advised by Keith he would send 'one of his best fitters' to double check. A week later another visit from his fitter to measure up again, who at the time seemed to be knowledgeable and provide recommendations that were understandable. A revised price was sent over email, with a request for a 50% deposit payment. However, there seemed to be reluctance to provide a formal quotation or pro-forma invoice with the full work breakdown. Having made clear my understanding of the agreed work breakdown an invoice eventually was sent, though still rather fully on the detail. All the same payment was made. A month later the door has arrived from the factory and a fitter arrives on-site to install. This is where everything went totally downhill. The fitter complains that the door is too big for the opening. He has a copy of the email thread regarding the order and the detail of the work breakdown as I understood it to be (and wasn't contested at any stage prior). The whole encounter left me with little confidence with the company, trying to address the matter with their office was a nightmare and they didn't seem to care too much about the inconvenience caused. Eventually, my deposit payment was returned and doubt I will hear back from them again.

Keith at Garage Doors (London) Limited was a pleasure to work with. Even during 'lockdown' he came to measure up promptly, and again when we changed our minds on what we wanted, but it was no problem, and the electric roller door was fitted on time, within budget by two experienced workmen to whom nothing was too much trouble. They worked quietly and quickly, and came back to fit an edge strip to 'finish off' the work. They were extremely tidy and took away the old door. Highly recommend this company.

Straightforward to deal with, succinct in communication, fitters were so helpful and hands on. Delivery took a little longer than planned but very pleased with quality and service overall.

Immediate response to phone call. Fitter arranged for next day and arrived on time. Damage repaired, which I had thought impossible. Reasonable quote given for new stronger door, but accepted with good grace (and no call-out charge) when I decided that replacement unnecessary. A quite excellent service in every respect.
