Have to say, from start to finish, the whole process of booking the quote, receiving the quote, booking the work in and having the work completed was extremely efficient and painless. From start to finish, we were very impressed with the service that was provided. The quote was thorough and came through quickly and was reasonably priced, considering the lads were here most of the day. They did a great job and spoke to me throughout by explaining what had been done/what they were doing. The lads were friendly and professional and made me feel at ease. We were recommended Glenfield Ltd and they did not disappoint. We moved into our house last September but didn’t realise quite how bad the electrics were. Initially two electricians started the job to totally re wire the house, but they soon realised that the initial estimate of time for the job was optimistic. Following a visit by the owner, there were at least four electricians at all times. The work has been done to a very high standard, with the minimal disruption and the team cleaned up as they went along, we are very happy. The guys were at all times punctual and friendly, with a special mention to Jordan for his efforts to finish the job on time. This was a big job that we feel was also excellent value for money, I would thoroughly recommend Glenfield Electrical.

All sockets switches fitted, as ask plus lighting .Trunking fitted to cover all wiring .New LED batten fitted .The electrician was very helpful ask if the positioning of every thing was to my licking.

We chose Glenfield Electrical to rewire our home based on their trusted trader status but were left disappointed with their work.

Early into the job, we discovered that they were hiding the rubble and debris from socket-chasing under the floor boards rather than disposing of it responsibly. We spent a lot of time clearing this ourselves before asking them not to continue doing this. As part of the original quote, we had not asked them to rewire the supply to the fireplace as it was in good working condition prior to the work undertaken. During the rewire, Glenfield Electrical severed the electric supply to the fireplace. We only discovered this two weeks after we had settled the bill with them. When we asked them to rectify the work, they refused to do this without charge. We are in the process of getting quotes for the remedial work from other companies. A similar situation occurred with the aerial supply to the TV. The aerial was in good working order prior to the rewire(as witnessed by all members of our family)but Glenfield Electrical also messed this up. When we discovered what had happened (also two weeks after settling the bill) they claimed that the aerial could never have been working before the rewire and refused to rectify the problem. We have since had this remedied by another group. Having a home rewired is a stressful experience but having to keep an eye on where the electricians were disposing of rubbish was a needless extra hassle. Similarly, having to send multiple fruitless emails requesting that the team remedy their mistakes just added to the stress and eventual cost.

I have used Glenfield Electrical on a number of occasions, most recently to undertake a number of maintenance and repair tasks. I have always found them to be thorough, polite and friendly. They have have given good advice and always ensured that any work has been fully completed before leaving site, or have returned promptly once materials were available.

Appalling - suggest be careful when using if left alone

I asked for a quote for one item in one room. However, the company choose to poke around my complete house, looking in all rooms and cupboards, removing plug coverings from the wall and not re-securing them correctly. The quote came back with a list of items, mostly not related to my original quote request. It seems this company has lots of free time to look around your house. is looking for extra work by listing un requested items on the quote. All it would have needed was a call during the visit to ask if anything else needed to be looked at. I have made a complaint to the company but was not called back as i was advised would happen, which makes me think this company does not respect its customers. This is not a company i would trust to carry out work in my house without watching them nor respects its customers.

Thank you for your feedback both positive and negative is much appreciated. We were asked to give a quote to install a bathroom extractor fan and to look at loose wiring hanging from a ceiling. The property was empty, waiting for new tenants, we collected keys from a neighbour. We had to find the nearest electrical supply which was located next to the vanity unit within the bathroom which is against BS7671 IET regulations. There were also exposed connections and a socket covered by an ice cream tub taped to the wall with duct tape. As the existing installation was in such poor condition and does not comply to regulations, it was not possibly to carry out the work we were asked to quote on. Not an attempt to gain extra work but to highlight the dangerous condition your property is in. No electrical contractor with any credibility would be able to carry out the work. At no time were other rooms looked into and no electrical sockets were removed.
