Our wooden front door was tired, and needed double glazing. We had considered complete replacement, but the cost was too high. We had already used this company before to replace a UPVC rear door assembly completely, having checked out the Which? trusted trader route, and taken several quotes. We were highly satisfied with the first job. James' first attempt to do the job had to be called off because of rain, his next visit completed the job except for final touches after the glazing had set. Final touches were done in two stages, so we could assess. The final job was excellent. Throughout James consulted, checked for our satisfaction, was helpful and generous with his advice. What was obvious was James' skill and attention to what he was asked to do, together with his flexibility in responding to us and conditions. Moreover he is a jolly nice chap.

I found James from the list of which traders. It was after a burglary when we needed some sliding secondary glazing replaced. He came round measured up, went away, ordered the glass and came back and fitted it. Such a nice guy, really professional. Almost makes me want to have a burglary again, in order to book him! Well, perhaps not quite. But I would recommend him without doubt. James responded very quickly to our request to look at a very stiff patio door. I spoke to him in the morning and he agreed to take a look that afternoon. True to his word he called in and not only took a look but repaired the door there and then. He took the patio door off, replaced two door runners that had seized up so problem sorted. Communication excellent, response excellent. I would definitely recommend James.

Repairers of PVC windows are hard to find. Most windows companies are not interested in repairs, preferring to supply new windows. Great to find a dedicated repairer, and one who works to a high standard, as GHMS did. Arrived on time, worked diligently between 9.00am to 4.00pm, fixed all problems of windows throughout a 4 bedroom house. Excellent service by a personable trader. Highly recommended....by a satisfied customer.

James was pleasant, arrived promptly, and worked tidily and efficiently. The door is hung to perfection, against a tricky backdrop of an old house, an uneven floor and an even more uneven door frame. Top marks, no hesitation to recommend and/or use again!

James did a fantastic job replacing the glass in two of our roof lights. He is very thoughtful and causes the least disruption possible while carrying out a professional job. He makes sure the area is clean and tidy and everything is back in place before leaving. Great value for Monet compared to having replace the whole thing and as good as new.

James visited site quickly and provided a quote within a few days. The replacement glass can take up to 10 days to be manufactured but as soon as it was ready, James was back to install it. James responded to my query quickly and came by to do the work within 2 days which was excellent. Repair was done to very high quality. I would recommend. Only minor I found to be the pricing as the work took just over 30min and quite highly priced.

Great friendly service, good communication, would recommend. I had to buy the cat flap, James supplied and fitted the new glass panel with hole cut to size and mounted the cat flap in the hole.
