Gregor Heating

Gregor Plumbing and Heating recently fitted our new boiler. We had a number of quotes but we went with Gregor because from the start you could tell they were different. The engineer who came out to assess and offer the quote was courteous, professional and friendly. He didn’t try any hard sell or try to sell us something we didn’t need. A date was agreed when to fit the appliance that was favourable to us. They were on time, efficient, professional and explained everything as they worked through the day. Once installed they tested the boiler, taking time to explain how it worked. Cleaned up after themselves and removed the old boiler and packaging. 1 year free service also provided. I highly recommend this company.

The annual boiler service was carried out with the usual efficiency I have experienced with Gregor over many years. The person who came had been before, a very nice man who gave high praise of the actual boiler and its workings. He suggested advice on how we can treat it even better and make it work better for us - e g, don't have it set too low or it just cools down, wasting gas! I promised to tell the 'gas fairy' who is the one who mucks about with the controls. Concerning the price, I already knew what to expect and at £90 inc vat it was perfectly reasonable.

We chose a suitable date and time for us. They arrived on time and conducted the work in a professional manner. It was impressive to see that the new boiler arrived in readiness for fitting by another provider. The plumber (Connor) was excellent throughout the fitting. He coordinated with the delivery of the new boiler and the electrician to appear and undertake his side of the fittings as and when he was required. There was no down/wasted time in waiting for any aspect. The briefing on the new boiler was undertaken without any hassle. It was a pleasure to have had the work undertaken and all materials were taken offsite, again without hassle. Prior to this we had a recce by the Installation Manager who advised us as to what we required to fit our needs and he was also very knowledgable and helpful. The support from the firm with paperwork, payment etc. has been exemplary and could not outline any problem/s with the process. I would classify this firm as a traditional old world firm who do what they say they will do with no hassle to the customer - a rarity in today's modern age! I would strongly recommend this provider.

Having selected Gregor Heating to install a new boiler 10 years ago we were completely satisfied with their work and competitive price. Since then they have sent a friendly and competent engineer to carry out a thorough service each year.

Our house is not straightforward and although on paper we were just having a replacement boiler in practice it meant dealing with complicated plumbing where the system had been added on to by various builders over the year. We now have a much better system and an airing cupboard not entirely filled iwth pipes. Gregor were helpful and frank in the planning for the work, people always came when they said they would. Craig who did the installation was amazing and very patient with our endless questions, and working around our requirements as we both work from home some of the time. When we had a slight problem the following week someone came out the next morning to sort it out for us. I would highly recommend them.

All of the team at Gregor Heating have been amazing, from the initial servicing visit to Adam's new boiler survey and the 2 great installation engineers who fitted the boiler and tested everything. They took a lot of the pressure and worry out of the situation and got us back up and running within a week. Thank you!

We had a new oil boiler and cylinder system fitted and the service and experience was first class from start to finish - from making intial contact and Chris coming round to carry out the survey, communication thereafter and through to conclusion via Debbie was very efficient, polite and professional. No hidden costs and paid exactly what I was quoted at the start. Connor and Josh who installed the new boiler system were also excellent. Fast, efficient, turned up each morning when they said they would, worked hard and Connor explained exactly what was happening, what they were going to do next at each step through to conclusion. We discovered a minor leak issue the day after completion, informed Debbie, and Connor came round to rectify it in no time at all - great service. I would highly recommend using Gregor to anyone considering having similar works done.

Our combi boiler was serviced today by Darren Parker of Gregor Heating. Darren was great, explained everything clearly, and resolved issues with the radiators upstairs not heating up fully. First time using Gregor Heating and a great experience!

He came when planned, did the job well, including an awkward loft check, and gave useful advice. Cheerful and well-mannered.

Amazing company, working to a tight time scale and Gregor Heating manged to find a slot for us which worked, with no problem. The team were friendly and professional and very knowledgeable about the products they were installing.

Excellent in all respects. Took time to discuss the best ways to run the system and what controls to use. Very friendly and patient when we asked lots of questions. The service costs much less than the original installers. Very relieved to know we have a company to look after our needs.

Excellent service from start to finish. The team on site showed great care and expertise in their work. I was happy with the quote received, and additional extra little bits of work undertaken during the job were completed as part of the original price. The work took 2 weeks as forecast. As with all extensive building work, there was the usual upheaval, but we felt they were as respectful as they could be whilst having a job to do that, in its nature, was noisy and messy. Would be happy to recommend to anyone looking for a heat pump and/or solar PV.

I used Gregor Heating to supply and install an electric water heater. I'm really pleased with their work and intend to use them again.

Wrt. recent heat pump service - service engineer carried out an assessment of our heat pump and system professionally and competently in a friendly and knowledgeable manner with which we were well satisfied. Will consider Gregor for future services.

The company that sold me my heat pump in 2015 went into administration and I have had repeated problems in getting it serviced regularly and reliably. Thank goodness I have now come across Gregor Heating and Plumbing. Their engineer was in today – polite, competent and informative. The work was carried out with a minimum of fuss and place left clean. I also got some useful advice. Thanks also to Which Trusted Trader, who pointed me to this company in the first place.

Excellent service and a beautiful job by Craige and his apprentice Cole. The whole experience from Adam carrying out the survey on Monday to Craige finishing off the install on Wednesday was amazing

Phil came to service my old boiler and he was very helpful and efficient. I was so impressed with his efficiency. He also gave me some helpful info about other issues with the system. Highly recommended.

This new boiler installation was preceded by a visit by an engineer to assess the underlying problem we had, incase a replacement wasn’t required and to thoroughly survey the requirements for the proposed work - down to the requirement for additional flue support brackets. The installation itself happened without any concerns. The engineer arrived well on time and ensured everything was working. The work was done tidily and waste was left neatly and collected by a specialist contractor just 2 days later.

This is the second year I have booked Gregor Heating to come to service my boiler and look at my underfloor heating manifolds. I have them thorough and very knowledgeable on both occasions.

We have had an annual boiler service from Gregor for many years, usually in the latter part of the year. This time our unfortunate boiler servicing engineer called in sick and the appointment was rescheduled. It was in my diary for 9.30 am but unfortunately I had not realised that the service would be either between 8.30 am and 1.00 pm. I telephoned the main office who apologised for the misunderstanding and then later rang to say he would be much delayed owing to some difficulties. I had to leave to go to the dentist but my husband was at home when the engineer arrived - much earlier than by then expected - did the job, loved the boiler, said it was in very good condition, nice and simple rather than the more modern complicated boilers and all is well. Good firm, nice helpful engineers, helpful telephone staff.

Gregor have just installed solar panels and a battery for us. Excellent service and good sensible advice about what system would suit us best. Highly recommended.

Fantastic company to deal with very transparent had quite a few quotes and this was the only company that bothered to come around and price the job once I accepted they had their site electrician to come round and look at any potential problems changed the specifications slightly and then once paid the deposit All went very straightforward and smoothly would highly recommend this company real pleasure to deal with and also very professional. I know the owner Steve Gregor from years ago been in the construction industry myself so well done Steve all your staff are a real asset to you.
